I think the more you can learn a ball before the review, the more knowledge you can pass to us. You can also see how the ball handles actual transition and lane shine before setting the audience's expectations
There is definitely an upside for throwing a new ball in league before doing the review. You get to give a more in depth analysis for the review. However, the downside would be throwing a ball in league straight out of box. You won't have a chance to make any surface adjustments.

That way, after you did that, you will know how good or where it will fit. I've seen ball reviews and people would rave about a ball, but never use it. I thankful for your honesty.

So last night at league we had different balls from storm to test out and by far the tnt infused was my favorite for the house shot. I'm definitely putting this ball in my bag
I'm gonna end up talking with my pro shop Wednesday and putting my order in. It looked good in game 2 and 3. I got the exotic gem and the original zen for game 1.

After seeing your league with the Magic Gem and your review of it, and with the Eternity Pi, I think your idea of a review after bowling some games - I'm looking forward to getting my Magic Gen and the TNT Infused
I’d actually like to see you review the ball first and then show league play after. That way we can see how the ball reacts on standard lane conditions.
From my own experience balls tend to be behave quite differently once a few games are on them thus giving you a more realistic idea of what they can do. Also, it would be crazy to take an untested ball into competition and it makes sense to have a few games on it testing it properly before putting it in the bag.
Why not both? It might make for a little more effort on your end for the same length of video, but I think knowing how it is out of the box and how it is after a few games would be awesome! Perhaps you can do an initial review in one video and a revisit in another video. I know a TH-camr that kind of does this, where he goes back to balls and reviews them after the initial hype is done. Just a thought!
So this ball I won with BowlerMart a month ago or so ago. I ended up taking the shine off of it and hitting with a 3K pad. I was going to park this ball for next season but it's been rolling so good for me it has been my game 3 ball now for the past few weeks with all 200+ games. I like to keep close to the same line without moving much so I usually go through 3 balls a night. I start out with a BW 3.0, then BW 2.0 Hybrid and lastly the Infused. I honestly feel this ball rolls the same way as my BW 2.0 hybrid! It's just a little shinier. I leave a lot of 10 pins so naturally I ball down or go with something shinier and move a half board left. I don't like making big moves left, I'd rather keep close to the same area and change balls. I'm still working on my game as this is the first year back for me. So I stay fairly right but I am learning to move left and create different angles. This ball has helped me with that a lot! If you're a BW fan and want to try something from another company this ball really seems to work well for me!

Second-look ball reviews are more informed, but for my own entertainment’s sake the out of the box reviews make better content. If you’ve already seen the ball roll, you have a predetermined opinion, which makes the video more dry to watch. Love the channel, man
While I love the straight out of the box reviews I feel like the doing a review after you have thrown the ball already i.e. in league especially if the conditions are tougher because then it gives the opportunity to talk on initial impressions but how it feels after those first couple of games or so since sometimes initial impressions can show you something amazing but its possible that once the ball has a few shots or games on it that might be its true showing of what it is capable of if that makes sense. Simply put I think a review after a game or two would just bring more depth to the review.
Off Camera, because then you would be able to set your review on lanes conditions that best suit the ball. And 3 month later check in videos would be great!

Could we get a visual aid where you draw out what you see the ball do? It would be a fast way to compare balls video to video. There’s just so many balls out there that the normal descriptors like early, aggressive, long, don’t really provide enough context imo.
I'd like to see this ball compared to the Zen. Both balls have a core that is on the lower end of RG and the diffs are pretty much on top of each other.
I am getting this ball later this month and I was thinking 70X4X30. Because I am a rev-dominant player with slow speed, should I go to 70X5X30 to lower the flare, in order for the ball not to burn up? Thanks!

I think a review should be after atleast 18 games, balls change out of box to lane shine. We all love the new ball carry, but it's really not the reality.

Out of the box most definitely, then do a report card on the ball say after 3 to 6 months of use in league bowling and what not. I have the TNT as my start ball in my leagues when the lanes are fresh and I'm looking at getting this ball once it's out for when those lanes start transitioning and even breaking down. For my league and house shot the TNT and this TNT Infused should work perfectly together. As you said I may wind up using my TNT for all 3 games but there will be times for whatever reason where the TNT just isn't working, and the TNT infused will be able to get me back in the pocket and game.
Seeing the balls straight out of the box has some value but I think reviewing it after having thrown it for a bit would be better. That would give you time to reflect on your initial impressions and give an overall more comprehensive review. I'll be here for whatever way you prefer to do it though.
Would love to get to possibly replace the absolute which is my go to ball after the tour dynam x that I start with in league. I think seeing it after a few games would give a better view of the ball
Do you typically put the new releases in your bag for league? I know that can be hard to change up so often, but your experience out of the box on a lane by yourself, is a ton different than throwing it for score with 7 other people transitioning the lane….
It seems to hook and stop. It goes through the 3 phases of hook a bit too early on this oil pattern. I wonder if it is because the core revs up too early relative to when the cover starts reading. I wonder if you knock off the shine or add some surface that the core & cover will be better matched

I have been bowling very well with the TNT Infused out of the box finish. The ball really hits hard for me.

This ball won’t require a lot of oil. Sams town is the most friction center here in Vegas and it handles this with ease

I think an initial ball review would be done with the ball out of box. Subsequent videos with this ball could be done with surface adjustments.
