I'm 2 handed. So I'll live vicariously through you since these big balls are basically off limits for me unless I'm playing on a super high volume sport shot. lately, I haven't had the time or money to compete.
And on that lane surface...known for being the most skidding lane surface out there...that ball is hooking out the gate.
I love my Magic GEM, managed to shoot a 767 series the other day (my highest 3-game sanctioned series).
I just shot 706 with the magic gem last night… move way left and just injoy the big hook

I recently purchased the Magic Gem. Didn't feel comfortable with it out the box, it was strong and uncontrollable. I ended up hitting it with a 3k pad the following week and was absolutely beautiful. It's a strong ball and monitoring speed is a must but don't be afraid to crank it, it will definitely recover in time.

I hated my Gem when I first got it. Now it works good.
I have all three of the gym line and I like that much ball. Hi basically throw the magic and then back it up with the duo To me, the catana is a slightly weaker version than the magic and the pi is just a longer version. This line works best with my style of bowling, but it will differ with however you throw.

Katana Strike looks real nice. I've never thrown a hybrid but maybe I should think about it.
I have the exotic gem and to me the ball seems slow going down the lane I wanna try the magic but idk if I should

I have the katana strike and eternity pi. I throw harder with less revs though and they are perfect for me. Eternity is more controllable and consistent. The strike can be a little wild and unpredictable off the dry for me.
Don’t look like the Magic Gem is your kind of ball.. Some people will love it and some won’t.. Not meant for everyone for sure..
Needs some lane shine. Out of box it didn’t match up!
Sometimes it is difficult to match up with the a piece 100% right out of the box. Perhaps a slightly weaker pin will make this ball more "usable" on a ths.
I will give it time on the lanes to see what it does.
My guess is 15lbs.

Charles. Thanks for the comparison video. I am looking for a strong asymm ball for the top of my bag. My last one was drilled pin down to get a little more length down lane. Any of these pieces would be good.
Extreme Envy, and Reality are my go to recommendation. You can't really miss with those.
Seems like Magic gem doesn't retain as much energy as pi despite similar hook strength, gem seems to be soft while pi hits like a truck, true?
Gem is earlier. Using more energy. Doesn’t have much left at the pins. Where the pi is cleaner and shaping much more down lane.
@TheHype-Bowling pi would hook quite a bit more than the absolute power though, correct?

To the young Zellenial doing this video, the 2000 grit Reserve Blend 901 Solid Reactive cover on that Eternity Pi is not a hybrid cover. Not a fair comparison to the cleaner- shinier 3000 grit HK Hyperkinetic hybrid cover on a Kitana Strike.
