Raptorling: Abathur told you to tickled karak birb to death before give zerglings fake fairy wing to allowed them to leap. Swarmling: Hatchery spam zergling, duh ...
The Vile Strain looks better for me, even with just 1 roach it can already reduce the attack speed and movement speed by 75% of the enemies very efficient to prevent continuous damage and getting ur units killed by heavy attacks from the enemies
Corpser Roach + Swarmling Zerglings have always been my favorite combination. It's so easy and so satisfying to see a whole flood of your units take over an entire base. Add in a Viper with disabling cloud and you got flood with your enemies unable to fight back.
the developers hid a little tip for the evolutions, there's the quantity quality angle but the color codes, green and purple are a good way to balance it to all situations.
@@ualreadyknoitsyaboi green is stronger zerglings(well paired with Reanimation) or banelings with extra banelings, paired with roaches that make armored cannon fodder out of the enemy infantry, a few impale hydralisks and flying swarm host beasts for siege tank and anti armor purposes rounded out by the heavy bomber brood Lords and the weakling killer toxilisk(ideally given tissue assimilation because it benefits from the extra damage source
I was sure that Vile was superior in very way, but on later Brutal replays found that they are mostly equal - Corpser flooding everything with roachlings for tanking almost makes zerglings obsolete and allows to focus on other stuff or go baneling galore.
Corpser+Hydra has been superior for my brutal playthrough on account of how easy it was to steamroll opposition, thanks to the +8 damage against light units. It's not hard to shutdown both Terran and Toss with the unit and let the swarmlings overwhelm everything else.
I feel that the Corpser Strain on this is much better, it makes it easier for the "mass Zerg" that i like to play like, with this i can go corpser/swarmling with very few anti air units due to the amount and cost of the lesser lings.
It should also be noted that you'll face cheap units far more often than the tougher more expensive stuff. And even then, slowing the attack speed of a Marine doesn't help when the other dozen jarheads are still getting free shots.
I'd rather say that Corpser is better for more casual player, while Vile strain is more suited for a high-skilled player, one that can very effectively micromanage and keep every roach attack diffrent target
Drakhesh Vile strain is used for slowing down the Splash Damage-Dealer (including Siege Tank, Thor, and Colossus), but Corpser is kinda good idea for strategy, building up the army while Corpser defend the base
Its more like xel naga is playing with the genetics of other creature. This happen in protoss and zerg. The did this for their "believe" containing purity of essence ans purity of form. The creature they played at is already seeded around galaxies. This is simply something that tried to play god.
I do have to remind everyone here that's...: its only a game. Pretty good rts game too. Atleast what left of them. Please dont bring in creationist vs evolusionist here. I'm a christian and just want to enjoy the game dude.
the vile strain has way more uses and great against enemies that are hunkered down, also i never thought about attack the other animals durring the corpser mission but roaches can be great scouts if they have the tunneling claws but the vile roaches can hinder bunkers, photon canon and spine crawlers so very useful
As long you're not playing brutal or on the last mission where every unit is seriously buffed, corpser strain is always a more cost effective trade, because later you will have access to swarm hosts and just spam them to win
both. Its canon that there is a choice, but which isn't determined (basically strains are mutually exclusive, so one must be chosen and the other discarded as a result; best abathur can do is a testing batch of each before a decision is taken)
@@thorveim1174 it was what popped into my mind I got into starcraft lore from a nids vs zerg vid. I still like the zerg the fact that they have sentient beings in there ranks is neat. And some of the arguments came down to evolution rate. sorry if it botherd you dint mean to
overall, vile strain is better. Usually you will mass zerglings as mineral dump, so making enemy suffer reduce attack and movement allows lings to live longer. Roachling, while powerfull as free tanks, will compete with lings as they are melee range, which sucks.
Vile Roaches are the most busted upgrade. You can render the attack rate of Thors, Archons and Hybrids to a crawl and it keeps the Odin in the final mission from ripping Raynor apart.
I imagine if Carbot made an animation or mod on the vile strain, the roach would be spitting gums at the enemy.
or the Corpser Roach, where there will be a Roachling Tsunami.

Corpser= Strong against light armored units
Vile= Strong against heavy armored units

Vile are also great against defenses
Vile is cool as fuck.
« Vile= broken against any kind of ground unit » would be more accurate
@@Tucher97You’re right they’re great for defense. It’s more like crippling your opponent. After all, how can they fight when they can barely move?

These roachlings are so cute.

Great at any stage of the game and a must for any army.

I absolutely love using roaches they are my favorite unit alongside the hydralisk, also had no idea i could heal my zerg units by burrowing them.
Only the roaches heal when burrowed
At 5:54 psi storm = game over for the roaches lol
Chosen viles, then used them to aid Raynor on Korhal.
Abathur voice is so relaxing
The vile strain makes dealing with hybrids much more manageable.
I always take vile since it’s better against terrain which is the main antagonist in this campaign
Corpser: Instant army from the corpse.
Vile: Good counter for Any army with fast movements
Both are effective. its either u want more enemies for ya opponent or a tactical perk like the Marauders
