Seems like the G7FEK antenna is exactely what I need to get on 80m from my small garden. Thanks for sharing your results, I'll build the antenna in the next days. 73 de OO4M
Hello Andrew. Thanks for sharing your first 80m Dx overseas contact. Love the video. Looking forward to another QSO with you some day. Take care and 73 de Mike ve3xlf.
Nice QSO ! Interested in that type of antenna for quite a while, and looking forward to other video's and how it perform on other bands like, 20, 30 and 40m. Keep up the good work Andrew, and have great DX with the G7FEK ! Best 73 Patrick ON4CDJ
Thanks very much Patrick! Have been a little busy of late but more videos will be coming. Works really well on 30 and 20m. 17m performs really well too when the band opens and barely any tuning needed. My Kenwood hybrids would do it with just the plate and load controls I'm sure :)
Hi Paul, reasonable on 80 and 40m, as you've obviously got the horizontal wire sections at the top, but this antenna has more of a dx focus. You could run a dipole only 2 or 3 meters above the ground and get the best possible NVIS antenna you could ever hope for if you've got the room for it. Always multiple options.
TH-cam has this wonderful search feature that will allow you to find the other parts of this series. If you feel as though your skills are up to it, you can also visit my channel homepage and have a look on there. But only if you're comfortable with progressing to that advanced stage of computer usage.

I’m sorry I must have missed the antenna. All I saw was the face of a radio…
