The “you need to leave” was actually from a parent conference where a Latino/Hispanic student was being bullied or some racial comments were made. The father of the kid was talking and then someone said “then why didn’t you stay in Mexico” the response from some lady was “you need to leave”……

Omg when they started talking about the girl who’s boyfriend was wrongfully convinced... I was thinking “this sounds a lot like the story of what happened to my dance teacher’s husband” and then they mentioned the documentary Outcry and realized they WERE talking about my dance teacher and her now husband...
that case was literally so crazy, if other investigators had never re-opened the case and found all the untouched evidence, Greg would have been in jail for over 20 years wrongfully...
almost immediately after re opening the case did they find evidence that Greg Wasn’t there when it happened, they went through his texts and found that he had texted his ‘at the time girlfriend, now his wife’ a picture of him in the car with the text around the lines of “stuck in traffic, on the way!” At the time of the incident.... this was AFTER he had already been incarcerated for 3 whole years, and he wasn’t even fully exonerated until 2 years after that....
all the shit that happened in that case is absolutely horrible and took so much away from him and his family... but if anyone is wondering, Greg and Gaebri (his girlfriend throughout the whole thing) are now happily married and doing well! In 2020 He was offered a 1D full ride scholarship to Eastern Michigan University and is currently playing for their football team. And Gaebri is still teaching at a dance studio near Austin Texas where she directs a Hip Hop company/team!! I highly recommend y’all checking it out it’s such a crazy story for Greg and everyone else who was involved in the case

As an "essential worker" it's so weird hearing people talk as if the general experience this last year or so was just sitting at home being lazy. I have never worked so hard in my entire life as I have since COVID, and there has been nothing fun available to do to balance out the hard work... and it's just getting harder. So many people are excited and energized to back to 'life", which is awesome... but there are a lot of people like me who are just exhausted. It makes it harder when it feels like your experience is unseen. Like, the guilt for not starting a hobby, getting in shape, revaluate you life goals etc. etc. like so many others have this past year... but it's because I have been working NON STOP.
I understand you, I was/am an "essential worker" and have not stopped working when everyone was looked up. I am exhausted and really need a mental and physical break.
Don't look for influencers in their little bubble to find the recognition you're looking for. Part of society appreciates what you have done immensely, but those aren't the people complaining
So your life carried on as semi normal? Be thankful, many lost everything and took their own lives!

As a mom of three (all boys) at 34, I get it! I had my first at 24 and not that I would give them up, but wish I had waited, it completely changed me. There was so much I didn't experience and look back on. They are my whole life and I get to live through them, which is amazing, but its just a different path. One of my aunts never had kids, and hands down she's the favorite of all the cousins.
