Thanks for watching Linda! After a slow winter, we are just ready to see and do more! Plus now that we are uploading once a week vs 2, it seems like a lot in one video.
@@Meghanandmatt I should have said that was beautiful beyond words kinda beauty like is that even real kinda stuff. By the way gonna make trip myself. Thanks for sharing
Just found your channel this week and am catching up. We are planning AK in a truck camper and hopefully South Africa for the penguins and Kenya for safari. Anyways, thanks for all the info & entertainment and what 'Big Boy lens' did you get? - western NY Troy & Aimee
That’s awesome! AK and South Africa were both two of our favorite places we’ve been. For Alaska we bought the sigma 150-600 f/4.5-6.3 sports lens but sold that before traveling internationally because it was too bring to carry with us and it’s not the most optimal for safari. I bought a tamron 50-400 f/4.5-6.3 specifically for our South Africa trip and safari and it worked great. The animals are usually pretty close to the trucks so having that huge range was great. And there wasn’t really a point where I needed more than 400mm cause I could use APS-C mode and get that 600mm
Glacier Park continues into Canada. Waterton Lakes National Park is beautiful. A great hike there called the “Crypt Lake” hike. You take a boat across the lake and hike to a glacial lake.
Thank you for being truthful about the places you eat, I appreciate that. I slept a night at the old faithful parking lot, when I just has the shell on my truck, no one bothered me, that was before I had Bella. I got waffles at the hotel there in the morning, really cool place. I almost didn't want to watch the glacier park part, because I haven't been there before, but I did and I am so glad you guys got to go. I'm looking forward to going there on the way back down into the states (if it's still all open then)!
Thanks D! I️ wonder if you could get away with that now! That would have been really convenient. Glad you watched! Most of the Going to the sun road was closed so we could only explore a small part of the park. So much more to see there!
You guys are my favorite vanfolk...! We moved from Colorado to Virginia and been trying to find good spots out east. Love to see you guys put out some footage of the eastcoast. We got a minivan and been doing weekend outings but haven't found what anything comparable. Tryin to convince the wife to get a full size van.
Ay thank you! I hear the great smokies are beautiful and you’ve got lots of hiking on the Appalachian Trail in VA! When we head back east we’ll for sure make some guides
Hey V DeAnda! We've done several east coast videos and will be doing more as we head north from Florida to NY soon. Hit us up if you want to get any recommendations!
Glacier is one of my all time favorite national parks....next time y'all really need to go to Bowman-Kintla area and stop in Polebridge for a bear claw. The best time of year to visit is in September usually....unless there are fires.
@@Meghanandmatt It's one of the least populated parts of the park, with FCFS camping, if I remember correctly. But you're right, it is a drive to get there, though if you were at Lake Macdonald, you're on the right side of the park at least. Next time!
@@starlite369 oh yeah it’s gonna get pricey! Realistically I don’t think the van will make it to 1 million but we’ll see! 😂 as far as affording it goes we just make sure we budget properly each month

Yo Matt I wanted to work fo Nat Geo since elementary wish I wuda pushed toward it
It’s never too late to work towards it!
A grown male grizzly bear can take down a Bison. But consistently, that's a different story.
I was there too May 31st. I saw nothing but fog. So disappointed because my expectation was beautiful sunset
Ah man that sucks! First time we went we couldn’t see anything. Hope you can go back soon and see the beauty!
yellowstone is actually in wyoming, montana and idaho.
In Alaska we would sometime see warnings about local bear activity and which trails to avoid. Did you ever see warnings like that on this adventure?
Nope, nothing specific about bears being on trails but there were plenty of signs warning that we were in bear country!
What was the lens ?
Sigma 150-600 sports lens for Sony e mount

Grizzly would win. I’ve seen a grizzly break a full grown mature male moose back with just one swipe while running.
Counting the 6 mile hike as 12 is cheating. When you drive do you double the miles driven? It’s two asses in seats. No more cheating Meghan.
Nope every transportation vessel gets counted once so since we don’t share legs, it’s 2x
I️ feel like it’s a tie right now lol
@@Meghanandmatt seems like a very grey area to me. Matt, what are your thoughts?
@@BartBourg I (Matt) agree that it seems like cheating counting walking/hiking 2x
I'm going to guess that Matt is an Aquarius and Meghan is an Aries.
Nope Meghan’s an Aquarius and I’m a Libra
How many miles do y’all get per gallon? And HOW can you afford to drive so much with these gas prices? (Thanks Biden 🤣)
Jk, I kept watching. 20/gallon. Ah man, multiply that by those million miles… 😵
