I love Pyledriver, the horse no one wanted! It’s a fairytale
Martin Dwyer somehow managed to keep hold of him when he started rolling. As good a piece of horsemanship as you'll see. That Pyledriver stuck his neck out, and came again when headed showed courage and class.
What a fantastic Horse. I've followed him ever since watching him win his first race at my local course at Salisbury 50/1. Absolutely brilliant result
@norman smithers so
All credit to jockey Martin Dwyer. A thriller with tenacity and effort prevailing.
Nice to see Pyledriver getting a well deserved group one on his CV.
Heart of a lion that horse
An absolutely brilliant ride, to take the race by the scruff and then keep trying to balance him while battling it out to get back up, Martin Dwyer was rightly exhausted after
What a ride for sure !!!! he did not panic at all.. well done
Great race, what a tenacious horse.
A quality win for Pyledriver for sure. Going back to last season, Al Aasy had won 4 of his last 5 starts coming into this race and was being bet like defeat was out of the question. Just as they passed the furlong pole, Pyledriver just about went down on his head, but still recovered and fought on like a warrior to get his head back in front at the wire. Well done indeed to both the horse and connections.
@norman smithers well serpentine was not in the race adian obviously thought them two were better what dose that tell you
@norman smithers she didnt stay an she hated the ground
@norman smithers shows your lack of she was a length behind with 2f to an stopped a shes very good filly I woudnt right her off . An serpentine was a fluke last year get real
@norman smithers that's what not staying the trip means she got tired . Who are are you backing?
@norman smithersbolshoi ballet over rated 🤣🤣 how was serpentine the form horse last year ?
Pyledriver ❤
What a amazing 🤩 Ride By Martin big upset 🙃
Great riding 👍
Amazing riding 👌👌👌
Thrilling finish there. One of the closest for some time in this race. Dwyer sounds a racing name. I can think back to the Baldings, one of them trained Mill Reef I think.
Mill Reef was trained by Ian.
Great ride .
Very game indeed!!
¡FANTASTIC CAREER!
""👍👍""
What a good horse.he won 3 times and i him 3 times.
Good ride from crowley
jockey was masterful.knows his horse is liable to move around at the death.knows al aasy is gonna challenge but if he can keep his horse straight he has a chance.grabs the rail knows al aasy is on his right so only one way his horse can go even thou he does try to move around but the rail and al aasy keep him in line...
Winner tracked the leader until the home turn. 2nd horse was under heavy punishment for the last 400m, hang up under pressure. Winner dug in was headed and fought back to put his head in front where it matters.
Good horse on his day but hard to catch
Great win by horse and jockey. And a great racing story too. I was on Al Aasy and clearly the going and the hill robbed him of his finish. (taking nothing away from the winner) I still think Al Aasy has a great chance in the Arc if he goes there, weather permitting.
What a Horse !!!???
Well, what with his recent performances that will be a relief to the horse’s connections.
Both horses ran outstanding races. I hope Mogul is okay, he pretty much was at a canter in the stretch. Japan beaten by almost 10.
Chris Escritt Love you too we miss you a very Monday
Game little horse
Don't tell me, Crowley on the runner up. What a surprise.
how bent? FULL STOP!
Top jockey
Would I be right in saying the ground looks a bit soft for all the warm weather of late.
The silly buggers at Epsom have been watering all week because, you know, it never rains in England.
I love Pyledriver and thought it looked overpriced, so had a little E/W on it. However, I must say that this was a fairly poor ride from Crowley who should have left a bit of room and not eyeballed Pyledriver. Even though I had the winner, which is lovely, few would argue against Al Aasy being the better horse and was quite unlucky. Would have won with a better ride and I thought it had the race in the bag coming near the end.
You're so right just keep on down the middle and he wins. He lost ground coming across.
He surely would have won. The Maktoums must be starting to think about him.
He also rode Mohatheer poorly twice.
@@harolddottin10 I also thought Crowley rode a poor race. He left him too far out the back, and then he panicked with two furlongs to go and got there too soon, absolutely cantering. Best horse lost the race, when should have won by 3 lengths. Jamie Spencer would be proud of him!
I had a €100 on a double with snowfall
Bloody hell
Good work
i always love a good double after the races are over
Well done I had 40 pound win on snowfall 7/1 csnt believe ryan hose Santa Barbara over a horse with this pedigree and staying power
spoofer 😂😂😂
How did al aasy not win that
Bad ride by Crowley
No beat by a more gutsy horse on the day. Crowley did nothing wrong at all.
Am i right in thinking that the winner was a horse that was very cheap at the sales??.
Yes I think but don't hold me to it 6k I believe but I'm not entirely certain it's a number I seem to remember regarding the horse but I know he was brought cheap dirt cheap
Yes, I believe it was around the £10.000,- what a race
Bad ride by al assay
What made me laugh 33 people left for Itv7 then after this race boom no one left 😂
Aiden who?
Jim Crowly couldn't ride a bike
Crowley lost that race more than anyone else
He thought he was going to win like the last day. Should have been working him sooner
@@aidanjoyce3248 nope, needed to get there later. He got out battled hitting the front too soon.
@@tomhurcombe2185 I'm not sure. The way he was travelling he could got him at full tilt sooner and take a few lengths lead. Wouldn't have been caught.
@@aidanjoyce3248 he didnt pick up quickly enough for that to happen
@@tomhurcombe2185 completely agree got to the front too soon Crowley panicked and gave him a smack of the whip
Bad jim crowly
What happened to the great aidan o'brien horses Japan and Mogul. Funny how they failed.
Don't say the usual rubbish the going.
Mogul has already been beaten by 4 lengths by Pyledriver over 1m 4f, he is better on a right-handed track, failed in the Derby before, also he has only won once outside of Sept to Dec. Take him back to Hong Kong or Longchamp and he might win another race at a good price.
As for Japan he has also failed at Epsom before and looking through his form they don't even know what his best distance is, they even have him entered up in more 1m2f and 1m4f races including a G2. To catch that one right is no easy task.
Wanted it more than the runner up who looks a bit of a ponce.
Al Aasy being a ponce confirmed.
The very same Martin Dwyer who should have been warned off for life for race fixing. Never seen a sport like racing to have such a forgetful memory. Here is the link of the phone call for reference.
