@@DavesMotorCars How many miles are you at, and is your warranty from Mercedes or a third party? If your warranty is from a third party, I would go ahead with the tune. These engines can easily go without trouble with a stage 1 tune. I know of some people on some forums with over 120,000 km's and have been on stage 1 for 60k+ km, with no issues.
I had a third party warranty with mine, overall not terrible but it is still a mercedes. I did have to have a whole new front axel on one side replaced due to a bad bearing and some welds broke on the primary cat which was labor intensive job, but once again with the warranty it wasn't too bad along with the $150 oil changes and recommended service which could sometimes be $400-$600
With my E class with this engine I’ve had a parking brake break (took less than 1 minute to fix w bare hands) but I still took years to get to it lol. Other than that spark plugs and thats all I’ve done to get to 42k fine on my 390hp tune
Your oxygen sensors will be shot, and your car will guaranteed 100% burn at least 10%-50% more gas every day. You’ll notice eventually, and you’ll get those check engine lights eventually and when the shop hooks it up to a scanner it will show o2 codes.

@@jasonb4196 yeah, the computers in this car are designed to run the way they were built to be. The mufflers reduce air flow which is what the computers are set to, when you remove the mufflers you trick your computers and they get confused, over time you’ll be wasting gas and you will notice it every time you’re at the gas station trust me bud. The thing is though, I don’t know if a muffler delete would damage your engine, since it is a Mercedes’ there is a chance of that. But in my case my Lexus has been flawless and I beat the hell out of this car every day every single day I legit torture this thing and it’s been solid for the past 2 years and it is a 15 year old vehicle. I haven’t removed the mufflers on my new Lexus because it’s a new car And since it’s my daily driver I don’t want to waste gas and end up spending more money at the shop for new o2 sensors when they fail. Additionally, I have an extra 7 years of complete warranty but if I were to remove my muffler and tamper with the vehicle I will lose coverage
@@jasonb4196 the exhaust smoke and gas need to be in your cat for an amount of time for them to work, but by removing your muffler they won’t be in your cat long enough.
I’m getting J pipes on my E400 coupe from 6 months w muffler delete it was fun tho but it will keep its volume mainly

No it does not. These cars can make minor adjustments on their own without a tune. A tune would help but is not required.
How’s the drone? Herd that removing the resonators can result in less drone.
It’s not bad really. I cruise at 80mph on my way to work and it’s hardly noticeable
No tune? Would love to hear how it sounds with a burble tune with a muffler delete.
It has some nice burbles and pops on occasion! I’m still debating a tune while it’s still under warranty haha

Im at around 52k miles and yes it’s a 3rd party warranty.
@@DavesMotorCars I doubt a third party warranty could find out it's tuned if you flash it back to stock before you take it in.
I have a C400 that’s stage 2 tuned by DME Tuning and i got downpipes as well and I have my mufflers and resonators deleted and I also have warranty 😅😅

Did you delete resonators as well? And did you X pipe it?
Still has cats and resonators! No x-pipe, engine back it’s a single exhaust until they exit then it’s a dual.
