This was my first synthesizer I got when I was like 17 and connected to my Atari ST and 14-inch TV to make tracks with Steinberg Pro-12! Could barely read the num, bers on the low-res screen! 🤣 What nostaligia! And great video and demo! ❤
11:46-50 Upright sounds cool. 11h59-12:03 GrandPf same as on DX11. Sounds nothing like a piano. You should hear my own RealGrand creation on my DX11/100! Sound B-32 12:20-12:25 a "Rhodes"? Cannot make out name. Sounds better than DX100/21/27/11's "Old Rose"(sic)
Another synth that went me house past...that's Norwegian for "missed out on". OK, it sounds a little better than the 4-operator DX synths I believe this came out with the V50 / V30 FM-workstation flop?, Named after the KORG DS8? The FM are not all-round keyboards, only a few instrument groups like, electric pianos, bells, xylophone, marimba etc are superior to analog, but still not like sample based. that's why KORG M1 !
High? M1 was on another level. Although some same chips inside and same keybed like DX7s, M1 was Sample based. Nothing like this abomination. M1 had to give up though on the resonator function.
@@oupahens9219 Pretty much solely for that "house" piano sound. Many would argue that the DX7 and D50 are still relevant but the M1 is a dated Rompler with very limited synthesis capabilities. Why is this synth an 'abomination' in your opinion?

Don't think I've ever seen one listed. Sounds OK though.
I hadn't heard of it but I got one cheap
2:48-55 very nice riff. Reminds me of ?
Good question 🤔

Flop? 💾

M1 sounds clichéd to me. Most sounds like "universe" or whatever that first one is. Passable piano tho. For 1990
@@rachelar Clichéd, because they were so good then, that everybody used them.
