Searchlights airport is more developed in-game because of not only the divergence in time, But it also has over 100 years to work with in that time.
Still wanna know why the ncr wont take novac and nipton and they just re loacate ghoul soldiers to searhslight so its stationed again then they have a good grip on the region
I'm not sure the NCR has a lot of ghoul troopers. There are ghouls amongst their ranks, but I don't believe it's enough to make a whole garrison.
Not only that, but if the one sane ghoul trooper in searchlight is anything to go by, the NCR doesn't have a favorable view on ghouls, even the Ranger station with nothing but ghouls is so close to Legion activities you'd think that they put them there hoping they'd get assaulted and wiped out.
@zackrichter9849 The NCR has a law for protecting ghouls and super mutants, but they do face a lot of bigotry.

@funrun07haan50 I should have clarified. My assumption is that they only have a handful of ghoul soldiers. Most of them are Rangers in the station. It would probably take time to move in the necessary forces to the town. Wich we do not see in game
Having spent some time for work around searchlight, this video is likely the most thorough history of the region I can find. Crazy deep dive thank you for making this. Learned a lot about the real life history.

Had a chance to drive the area of the game a few years ago. Well worth it to visit the sites and see some of the cool places they missed.
I usually use the snipers nest with the gobi rifle and use that to take out cottonwood cove
34:45 you can explain how the landmines work over and over again to max out your reputation with them without really doing anything else for them. I like the Lucky Shades you can find in their safehouse.

Actually San Onofre power plant is closer to San Diego. It is just north of Camp Pendleton. I drive by there a lot.

Holy shit I've played that game so many times and I've never found the prospectors, the radiation suits the legion takes, or that you can dump the nuclear waste on the legion camp. That shit is dooooooope

I knew many years back this would hint the fate of the NCR.
The fate of Searchlight, and many of the NCR’s other operations and outposts, shows that there are serious systemic weaknesses in the Republic.

At the time this comment was posted, this video has 11k views, and the video is only 11 days old. There are videos on this channel that have the same exact format from 4 years ago with only 4k. Some videos from 2 years ago have only 400 views. This is an injustice.
