Im not African American but for some reason i love watching people do black hair, its so cool seeing how curly hair comes to life! When it comes to the videos i think it would be cooler to hear the conversations rather than the monotonous tune but i suppose thats the way of youtube videos.
She had me up until the point of tender headed. I'm not trying to be funny, but as black women we need to drop that from our lexicon. White stylists ask "is this ok?", "is it too tight?" When you notify them of any discomfort, they adjust accordingly, they don't shoot back with "nah you just tender headed!" It's very ignorant. Like, you're blaming the CLIENT for being uncomfortable? No matter if you're natural, permed or weaved up, you're handling another sister's crown. So treat it with care and respect!
Stephanie Edwards gurl be quiet. You reaching so fucking hard. We’re not white. We don’t use the same lingo. Not once was she be rough on the client’s head. Take your ass on the white pages with that shit!! TF!!!!!
Gurl bye; if you're a licensed professional then you understand that regardless of the race/ethnicity of your client SOME ARE TENDERHEADED and some aren't, regardless of race 🙄🙄🙄🙄
That lady was not ruff at all. Even though this is a video she seemed really gentle to me, she didn't break a hair on her clients hair. Some of you "tender headed" people need to trim your ends and used conditioner that makes your hair manageable enough to get the comb through. It shouldn't hurt to get your hair done.
Being "TENDER HEADED" does not mean you have COARSE HAIR. There are some of us that have soft hair and still TENDER HEADED. I suffer from migraines, so anytime someone touches my head I flintch. I can take my fingers and comb out my coil twist on any given day. I did not comment to bash or start a verb attack on anyone. Just as a PROFESSIONAL STYLIST YOU SHOULD BE MORE CONSCIOUS of different clients needs and sensitivity. To make a statement that "being natural, and TENDER HEADED don't go together " was unprofessional. Now to say to me that WE TENDER HEADED PEOPLE need to apply conditioner to our hair and trim out ends so the comb can get through it, NOW THAT'S COMMING FOR ME. We not gonna do that. Take the comment for what it was, and move past the assumptions. MY DAUGHTER IS A STYLIST, so my hair has been and always will be properly maintained and healthy. But your missing the point and only hearing negativity, instead of learning to understand SENSATIVITY. Girl, I don't have time to school you, but you be blessed....🤔
Y’all soooooo sensitive (emotionally). If you listened to my tone it was clearly a joke. I’m so conscious of my clients and their individual needs. Of course anyone can be tender headed. Geesh.
I’ve never seen coils done so perfectly without a comb!! If you do another video please show us how you grip the hair and hold it in place as you make your coils
Kim Ivey Makeup How long would that style last and what hair care maintenance and products are recommended for use after salon appointment to maintain the style roughly is a relevant question as the way the coils were achieved was fully demonstrated in that Video and explained well enough.
@@phastudios1213 u can keep it as long as possible but if you don’t want to achieve dreads (which will happen if kept in too long) I usually do 9-10 days, then the other 4-5 I’ll wear my fro then wash and re do. But if you retain moisture well u can go up to 2-3 weeks

Very beautifully done! I haven’t finger coiled in about two years because it takes so much time but the end result is always gratifying and every always asks me is it a straw set. You have inspired me to finger coil again..Thanks for the video
Beautiful. Anyone can be tenderheaded. If you're separating hairs that curl into one another it's essentially pulling at someone's hair/scalp to some extent.
I'm currently learning to learn styling for my son in law who has wanted me to style his hair for him, of which I've zero education on his type of ethnic hair type. I am of Cherokee decent and I know in my own culture our hair differs in kind and I know what products we use but on his I'm lost. He's got very long hair on the top and some of the back that has a fade cut on the sides and back. He either wears it in a bun or let's it just dry naturally after he showers everyday. He's got beautiful hair, thick and long but I can tell it feels dry but I've no idea of what to use for that alone and then he's asking currently for me to learn to finger style girls and on occasion braid. Are there different protects needed for different styling, and looking for products we can purchase in a store near us?

Thats a straw set i wish we could have figured out this method years ago when we used straws and charged 100$

Since no one replied I will but i can only answer no2. And yes, you should moisturise before doing the coils
It’s a bit hard to explain, but all you do is coil your hair without making cleanly parted sections. So instead of making sections with a rattail comb, just grab similarly sized section with your fingers, smooth out each section with a comb, coil, and let each coil naturally fall in place. I know several people that as they got older their scalp became more tender.
I like this hair style, is cute and it seems more quicker to get done than a two strand twist.
Intense hair styling will make a person's head sore though. A scalp ointment may help? This style is pretty.
