  • There is one specific red flag on church websites that is worse than all the others. Seriously. If your church's website suffers from this - change it ASAP.
    This is the second episode of Pro Church Tools Inc. - our new TH-cam series.
    To kick off the series, last week we announced we're giving away 1,000 free church website makeovers by the end of 2025.
    And we want to take you along for the journey as we tackle this massive, ambitious project.
    In today's episode, I share exactly how your church can get a free makeover.

    I would just like to point out that at 8:52 Kyle claims you would never baste a steak in oil, you would only use butter. But then *what* are you using to sear the steak in the first place?! I know it ain’t butter!

      @user-sf7fb7qu6s 9 วันที่ผ่านมา

      it's both, obviously.

      I mean the fact that y'all are pan frying a steak vs grilling it is the real problem.

    • @SveinWisnaes
      @SveinWisnaes 8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      It is perfectly fine to sear a steak in butter. It has been done for ages. The fact that people talk about oils with high smoke point is that they use temperatures that are too high and can result in compounds in the oils change and become dangerous. Butter, on the other hand, will get brown and then burnt if you use a temperature that is too high. So it helps you stay at a better temperature. Also, use the reverse sear method for a better result ;-)

      @@SveinWisnaes Isn't butter's smoke point like 350? I totally get finishing with butter in the pan. But getting a good quick sear at that low temperature? I'm skeptical.

    great video :D also, great color treatment. the highlight blooming and subtle graininess comes across really nice. of course helps to have some really nice room accent colors. looks like a sweet space for work, jealous haha love what you guys do and I've found alot of value here and there over the years. keep it up!

      The lighting is beautiful, but has also been a bit of a challenge for this series. It's very bright by the windows and then very dark on the other side of the office. So we're still getting a hang of it :)

    Gordon Ramsay: you hear oil up in a cast iron, sear the steak, and then cook it/baste it in butter mixed with thyme and rosemary.

    Great video, crazy goal! I'll be applying for sure... You kinda lost me at the fragrances for a bit, but great video. Do you really use that many different fragrances over the summer? I've been using the same one for probably the last decade... regardless, thanks again for your heart and vision.

    That Harvard data was great. When you mentioned first impressions, my first thought was "instantly." Honestly, before I can even comprehend what's happening on a website, I already know whether or not I like it. All based on design, colors, pictures. It happens fast.

      @@AliceInPoland1 this is why we’re doing this makeovers project! We’ll send the photographer to you and pay for all of it to give your church the new website you deserve.
      Plus, you’ll get to keep all the photos to use for any other projects you want.

    6:54 Can confirm the memory thing. I listened to Demon Hunter's Peace album for the first time while in Hawaii. Now, everytime I listen to that album it takes me right back to black sand beaches and sipping out of coconuts under palm trees. Moral of the story is... listen to Demon Hunters Peace album, it's sick.

    Hey Brother, the Canadian office might have pointed out that they are also part of America. On fragrances, you know the reason they are so expensive? You're the only guy in America who is buying them. If you're ever driving around Chicagoland, I'd love to meet you. Just keep your windows down and pull into the driveway where you smell burned steak.

    Just a little fun poke at your choice of words: You say you have an office in Canada and then that you also have one in America. As you pride yourself in giving information, you should be a bit more accurate. Canada is in America. So is Cuba, Venezuela, Brazil, Mexico - you get the picture. If you check the map, there is no country called America. Though there is one called USA ;-)
    P.S. Americas is a political construct. If you cut an apple in two (or more), it is still only one apple, not apples.
    Not a biggie, but information should be correct, not "what most people use". ;-)

      Hey, not sure if you saw the announcement video last week for this new series, Pro Church Tools Inc.
      The plan right now is to have a core content element of each video - the biggest slice of the pie. And then tell the company and founder story around that.
      Still very early into this new project so all feedback is helpful!

    I think I was hoping for more Church website red flags. Fun video, but only one red flag was given. I know you're tired of making those videos... but maybe a lifestyle video shouldn't be marketed as a church website design video. Thanks!

    • @prochurchtools
      @prochurchtools  9 วันที่ผ่านมา +1

      The working idea is to have a “core content” focus with each video. The biggest slice of the pie. And then have that be the first chapter that also inspires the title.
