Dear Miss Chee, you compare SQ first class with Etihad first class that...doesn't exist ! Etihad has no first class, but first class SUITES only. It is another product. SQ has two levels of first class : First AND first class SUITE. Please, compare what is comparable. It's a basic rule in marketing study.
Etihad's is suite class. You cannot compare that with sq first class. Suite class is beyond first class
Everything here looks like an improvement over the previous generation although I don't think the First here is better than the Suites on the A380 (still better than the current First on the 777 though). However, business class is definitely better. I've only managed to try the current A380 business class and 777 regional version, both of which I recorded and posted on my channel. Economy class on the A380 and 777 is also covered.
Closer to European tastes than most Far East/Middle Eastern carriers but still a little funereal in feel.
State owned airlines, of course can throw any amount of money at their product, hardly true competition to real world, "profit is king" carriers. Also I hear they dump their crew at 35. Nice.

Old economy class look so much better. The new ones look cheap. The new business class is great though.
the coloring on the economy seat looks cheap! the seat itself looks like seat at around 2000's

hello dont you know singapore airlines is aisa s leading airline and even qantas first class has 5% worst then sia's a380 first suites
I disagree on the in-flight entertainment system. SIA are way behind in this respect. Why they are still using consoles with cables is beyond me. Touch screen controls (like on BA) is the way of the future.
Dirk Diggler you can use the console cable or touch screen is Sq. Sq gives multiple ways to use the entertainment sytem.
The latest first class SQ same like Malaysia Airlines first class A380!

yes indeed sally, i agree with you. but no matter how great the cabin of etihad and emirates, sq still being a number one choice for many travellers. first because of their remarkable service and second is because of their level of consistency.

I thought singapore will change it to a 3-4-3 layout on the 777
GazzaOak Airliners can only customise certain components of the aircraft, but standardised ones such as the layout of the 777 must follow the certified 3-3-3 layout. Adding an extra seat in the middle row will most definitely minimise the aisle width.

Ummm... this is 777-300ER not A380 dumb nut, please compare with their 777-300ER if they have one.
Stop looking at my ridiculously long and unnecessary name and keep on scrolling down regardless of the aircraft types. Be it 777 or A380 . Singapore airlines is dated and out of competition from airlines industry compared to middle eastern airlines -- Emirates, Qatar and Etihad airways. Like or not , this is the facts. Singapore airlines no longer the best and number one . Mind your language.
