It sucks for Caleb, but to be honest, Forrest looked like he could use the money for improving his shop. His anvil was a railroad track and the belt sander was $75-100 unit from Harbor Freight. Good job Caleb! Keep up the awesome work!
Watching from the Philippines. Haha. Stay safe guys
the damascus tho . so beautiful . young age has create a beautiful blade . goodjob man 👏👏👏
Lol, gotta love that tittle...
Gotta love that spelling
Gotta love tittles
I am dying. I glanced at a comment about a small handle….was not expecting that pencil of a handle.
So am I the only one who thought this looked like Sokka’s space sword??
Fun fact : Doug actually says “KEAL” cause he knew that kids would be watching this show so he formed an abbreviation that is : KEAL -> Keep everyone alive , and he said this to signify that the main purpose of these weapons are for self defence
I can't believe all these ignorant comments from people who have not handled a single sword in their life and claim a cracked handle isn't a big deal. It's one last step before the blade flies out with the tang, and turns into a helicopter of death.
The kid should have just made another handle. The grip he created simply wasn't a proper one to begin with. They are tasked to make weapons, not to supply blade components of weapons. If your computer or phone manufacturer just made a fine CPU with a broken monitor/screen, would you still be able to sit here to type these comments? Get a proper monitor or it's not really a functional piece. When your sword's grip or weapon's shaft is broken, you are done. That's the lesson to be learned here.
It exactly is a catastrophic failure. Go swing a sharp sword at some hard targets with a cracked handle, I dare you. Nobody does that unless they have a death wish. Just because some random idiot create something that fails every day doesn't mean it's not a fail. He already knew it was gonna fail when he made the handle and he STILL went with it. Honestly he deserves to lose. That's not to diminish the accomplishment he's made with the blade. Plenty of famed swordsmiths let someone else to make the fittings, because an expert bladesmith isn't necessarily an expert on working with wood, leather, steel wires. Though I would say an experienced one knows what is acceptable and what is not, so they are at least capable of creating reliable grips, if somewhat plain.
Man they were hating on the old mans sword soooo hard! Haha
thought they was gonna make the z sword from dragonball :^(
Wow imagine losing to a sharpened piece of flat bar because the wood you couldn't control broke, that's gotta hurt
Most folk drink a coffee in the morning. Doug on the other hand, cuts deep into a boar carcass, usually severing it.
Forest looks like a fluffy teady bear 🧸🐻
06:38 Doug with blood in his face : "it will keeeel"
Terryfying
Atleast Caleb actually had a handle. I definitely wouldn't have even accepted the other guys "sword". You can't hold it comfortably. Should've been an instant fail.
Kid has a Lot of Resources to have a Dynamite Shop like that. Wow! I bet the judges would be happy to use that.
Caleb's sword was amazing to be honest.
The cinematics on dougs part is getting better and better
Even though he didnt win..he has made a way better sword than his opponent...
Caleb's shop is so clean. Looks brand spankin new
