I bought "Ol' Yeller" in 1983 and kept it for 33 years. It was 1972 F-100 Longbed, 360, 4-spd. Now I have a 1970 with a Longbed, 460, C-6 auto, aftermarket AC, 3.73 gears. I'm hooked on that generation of Fords.
Man this truck is Gorgeous!!!! Not fan of the big wheels and the Chevy rear bumper , but it's your truck and it's immaculate and it's totally classic classic piece of Ford mastery undisputed heavyweight champion on the world in pickup making ... This truck is a movie star and I've seen trucks like this one in thousands movies , reminds me off "No country for old man " the truck Llewellyn drives . I've got a 79 F-100 Ranger XLT 351/750 Holley C6 9" LSD sway bar , but these 5th Gen model is always my favourite models . Greetings from Australia . Awesome truck and you drive it as well , mine ain't no way even close to yours and I don't drive it on the rain , I wish I could enjoy my things more otherwise it loses the point of having it in the first place . Thumbs up , phenomenal truck with the rare colour combo . Australia
My first truck was a 1979 with a three on the tree and inline 6 cylinder. It was one of the toughest vehicles I have ever owned. Great trucks and great jobs, that's Ford tough.
The gas tank behind the seat if you smell gas check the rubber vent hose if that is not it get a new tank . Because the water lay in the bottom and rust it out.
oh I see this truck was for sale you didn't get the idea until the end of the video when he put up his telephone number I was beginning to think man that was a lot of questions asked and none answered by the original poster of this video . I see the truck was for sale okay now I'll cut the guy some slack so you probably sold it a long time ago being this video is 5 years old , anyway okay not a bad looking truck although in my honest opinion to completely restore one up from the bottom and get what you put into it it's kind of an unbalanced checkbook today . This Truck would probably only fetch 16,000 for a ground up resto Truck you're looking into the 25-30,000 range to build and that's being conservative that's why I never rotisserie mine I would rather just make it a nice daily driver a survivor.
Just bought a 1968 Ford f100 with a 360ci v8 full mallory ignition, edelbrock performer rpm dual plane aluminum intake, Holley 750cfm double pumper carburetor with a large spacer, k&n round air filter and the top is a k&n filter as well right now. But in the future im gonna put in a Walboro 255lph fuel pump and fuel pressure regulator, cobra aluminum finned valve covers with roller rockers, headers (soon to be 2.25" pipes, true dual exhaust with no cats, to two 2.5" in&out 28" long glass pack mufflers and two dc sport resonator chrome tips), 140amp alternator, hi-flow water pump, 4 core radiator (filled with redline water wetter and distilled water) swap oem fan to either a flex fan racing fan or an electric cooling fan, titanium valves, dual spring racing valve sping, arp head bolts, lopey crane cam/lifter combo, lightened pulleys, lightened underdrive pulley, lightened flywheel. Its got a C6 Transmission with an oversized finned pan with a B&M Stage 2 street/strip shift kit filled with trick shift synthetic fluid and a large trans fluid cooler. Aluminum driveshaft if they make it. Ford 9" limited slip rear end differential with Royal Purple synthetic differential fluid with lsd additive. K&N spin on oil filter with redline/royal purple/amsoil/ or Mobil1 extended performance 10w-40 with a quart of lucas oil stabilizer. Its 4 wheel drum brakes with the best "racing" shoes you can get, a new master cylinder and full synthetic brake fluid. Also going to upgrade rear suspension and put on anti-hop bars in the rear if i wanna race or just lift it 3" all the way around and install light weight wide rims and 33" on/off road tires. All new race gauges inside, large race tach and a race steering wheel. L.E.D. Bulbs all around and H.I.D. 55w 6000k headlights and put custom fogs on there. At the end id have the bottom end bored .030 over with higher compression forged race pistons, lightened billet crankshaft (maybe stroke it out), upgrade the heads or have them port/polished. Then a plate with a 75hp shot of nos if i needed it. Then restore entire body and let the rice burners bask in my glory. And if i really wanna go wild ill put in lower compression pistons in there and install a smaller blower or even 2 small turbos at the most.
+Will Payne Dude you've been reading to many old rod hot books. You must be a teenage dreamer. You've now have about spend 25k on upgrades.Oh and you don't lighten a flywheel on an c6 or auto tranny's. This is the Big tip off you don't know what your talking about..
Looks to me like he copy and pasted. Me I'm the real deal. I have a 72 Ford F100 3 speed on the column with a 360 . all stock even down to the rings and bearings. It needs to be rebuilt. Maybe ole Santa Claus can come through and help me with a rebuild kit.
All that and you want shitty glasspacks?? Jesus Christ, Glasspacks are garbage don't you know, build your own exhaust and mufflers and put some BMW resonators in the mufflers, they flow the best, might as well go with full titanium exhaust since your spending the money on all this top of the line shit you want.. and then in the end you still have 4 wheel Drum Brakes??? If you can't stop that truck you will be writing your beautiful truck off in a wreck and hopefully not hurting yourself ..
I love this truck

What exhaust system you got?
Mines a 75 I’m thinking of making mine a 390 for more power what type of hp n tq would it run?and do these engines like boost?
if I had to do it all over again I would made my 390 into a 406 check it out on Google and on the forums
Nice
What kind of exhaust are you using. My truck has a 360 as well and would like to sound like that
How much fuel do you use. so how many km or miles would you drive before you need to fill the tank up again i need to know before i buy one.
where can I get parts ? I have a 1972 ford 250 .. I'm trying to get original parts..like battery cables..ground cables....
Generic stuff you should be able to get at the autoparts store. Specialty items you can go to LMC Truck.
National Parts Depot and Autocrafters

@@colevarela3682 You should ask Will Payne aka Silver Spoons over there for your rebuild kit, sounds like he has some DEEP pockets..
