I love how steadfast the Dreadnaught is when under fire. Most of the other units sound panicked and ready to retreat but the Dreadnaught instills courage into its crew to fight on. A true testament to their patriotism.

Miloš Macura well not all Imperial Guard Commissars are a bunch of cold blooded brave suicidal inspirational dick bags(For shooting you because you(A reasonable officer not for being a coward or incompetent) ordered a reasonable retreat in order to fight them in another day. Some of them have compassion and understanding(Ibram Gaunt and Caiphas Cain they only shot a soldier because of treason and attempting to murder them) that even in the most difficult and dire situation you should treat the Guard with respect and integrity to give them a sense of being part of the family that you fight as one.

RA3 got a lot of flak (and not just from the Soviets), but you can't say these units don't have character and personalities that make them stand out. Take the Soviets. Yes the majority of them are blood knights to varying degrees, but some are more patriotic (MiG and Dreadnought "and her crew are ready"). Some are paranoid (Akula). Some are completely insane (Apoc and Kirov). Some aren't happy about being conscripted but are trying to make the best of it (flak troopers).
I would entirely say the Apocalypse Tank is insane just the heavy enforcer of soviet ground forces or the guy that saves you when shit hits the fan. Hammer Tank is just like Apocalypse comedic little cousin still effective enough but get the sense he has some major derp moments at times and Apocalypse Tank has to bail him out of a battle that became to much for hammer tank lol. But also that kind of mentality of if you want something done wright you got do it yourself and no ones getting in my way. Where Kirov he is just really really generous and has lots of gifts to give the enemy ;) XD .lol

The subs know that if they return fire they will start the war, but during that situations they lost contact with commands, amplifying the fear and terror amongst the crews. So make sense the Akula in RA3 sounds paranoid.
The Akula is paranoid just generally, but in combat becomes an absolute hunter when in combat and whatnot. Dreadnought is truly a patriot to the Union and has not a worry, but sheer courage. Stingray acts like he’s a real field scientist (although they’re really kinda not.) This is actually unique.
