Definitely 2xs milk a day for quite a while. Calves don't wean from mom for several months. Will definitely needs a shelter. Brook, you guys now are an official rescue farm 😀
I agree 2 feeding a day at least till she is 4 or 5 months old and eating really good. Calf Manna is really good feed for a orphan calf. Just watch out for Diarrhea that is something you got to check fast if she gets it they probably have something at tractor supply that you can put in the milk to prevent it. Just talk the best store person hopefully they can help. Merry Christmas!!! Good luck with your new Beef Calf Mildred!!
That calf is way younger than 6 months it might need to be fed 3 times a day. I think she needs to have a heat lamp on her when it’s cold at night and on cold days.
One more thing: When you build the shelter, consider putting in one stall with a head gate, which will come in very handy when veterinarians are needed for shots, hoof trimmings, etc. Look for a used head gate.
What y’all might also want to think about after those tornadoes 🌪 across the us and close to y’all. Is an underground bunker or storm shelter, I think it would be the safest thing y’all could ever do for yourselves. Also have y’all seen the underground bunker’s that can house all the animals y’all have + more, I think that’s really cool and could possibly save a few species.
So exciting y’all got Mildred. She’s a little beauty and will fit in great at Cog Hill. And how about that Tucker hitching a ride on the trailer. Cute little kitty❤️
Oh mooooooman is getting a friend. You guys will make sure that baby gets the attention it needs. The goats where all in harmony with each other welcoming Mildred. That was my great aunts name. Are you going to call her Millie the mooolady.
She is just beautiful, Mildred will love getting to know everyone as time goes by ,have a wonderful time over the holiday, blessings and hugs from lreland .
Ohhhh my goodness!!! Mildred is just beautiful!!!! She’s so tiny!! She will be just as sweet and friendly as Moody by the time she’s an adult. Congratulations!
The reason why the new little calf went as far away as.possible as soon as being put in the new area with goats, is because she was tricked into the truck with a bottle and then not given the rest of the bottle.
30 seconds into this video and my jaw dropped! Merry Christmas Moody and all the Cog Hill Squad! ❤🥰🎄🐄 *a few more minutes in...* Mildred was my Grandma's name! She went by Millie. I just love how Mary Carl took such good care of her right away. Nothing but smiles watching this.🥰
Mildred is adorable. I think she will become used to you, especially when she learns where her food is coming from. Moody will be happy to have companion.
And the barn yard population grows!!! Away in the horse trail a bed for Mildred!!! Sing with Her!!! MOOOO The Moody is bellowing, the goats are baaaing the chicken are clucking!!! Big Hearts at Cog Hill Fun Forty Farm!!!!
Mildred will be so excited and happy once she gets used to y’all! What a wonderful present for her to com live at Cog Hill 40! Merry Christmas! 🎅🏼🎄🤗✝️💕
Oh my goodness, she is soooo beautiful!! Precious little baby. I am so happy!! I’m thankful Moody will have a buddy now. She is so lucky to have her forever home with your beautiful family. You guys are the best!! Merry Christmas and lots of love xoxo ❤️🥰
Merry Christmas 🎄. Congratulations on the new calf. As an old rancher who has raised many a bottle calf they should be feed twice a day. Just FYI. We called out in January at -20 the calves did fine with a shelter and heat lamp if the were bottle fed twice a day. The calves that had moms didn’t need either as they would lay on the feed or sleep next too mom.
Mildred is adorable! Bottle calves are so enjoyable! Such a great way to teach compassion and responsibility! The Christmas chorus was hilarious! You all remind us of ourselves! We LOVE animals!! Today we hope to put out our Christmas video where we sing ‘The Twelve Days if Christmas’ which is us girls’ wish list!! May you have a blessed Christmas Day!
Mildred is absolutely beautiful. What a nice gift for Moody. It won’t be long until she is skipping and following you all like a puppy. You all please take care and be safe
Oh. My. Gosh. My heart is a puddle. Baby Mildred is the sweetest surprise ever! After she gets settled in, I know she's going to be just as friendly as Moody. You'll have to get her a pink halter to contrast Moody's blue one. :) Thank you for taking in this baby girl. She's right where she belongs, now.
Congratulations! You're now the official "Cog Hill Rescue Farm" ❤ Bless all of you for your love and kindness towards animals! They're all so lucky to have found a home with you. Merry Christmas to you all.🎄
I’m a music teacher and I definitely heard Jingle Bells from the goats! Merry Christmas Cog Hill. Mildred’s Christmas present is coming to live with y’all. Welcome sweet girl to the best place to be….the 40!

Sweet baby. Moody and Millie is cute. I laughed a lot at the silly goats. Merry Christmas! Ty for your vids. Just hanging at home with my cat today watching my fav channels.
Greetings from barbados 🇧🇧 wishing you am awesome day. I am lying in bed eating danish butter cookies 🍪 and watching this channel for the first time. I adore it. Would love to just roll in that field and watch the goats and cows.
So sweet Millie! You went from having a cow on your farm to having cattle! You have such big hearts and your family is rich in love. Hope your new year will be filled with blessings!
Arrrrrrrrr, Mildred is so pressious. What a wonderful 🎁 gift for the family. She's so cute. I think you need to consider a larger barn then originally thinking about. By next year, you may have several cows. I think she's the same size as the goats. LOL 😆 Happy Holidays everyone. Angels 😇 Arrived.
Awww poor baby - all her big horse friends are gone and she is surrounded by strangers - she must be so frightened. So glad she has her own bedroom and shelter for now and will be a lot warmer at night as well.Sleep tight, wee Miss Milly, and hope you love your new home very soon. You are in good hands for sure now!
She is the Cutest!! Congratulations!!! What a great new addition!!! ..so happy we get to see her grow!! You should halter break her now while she's small😉
Awe guys shes adorable I love her already Mary Carl girl you definitely remind me of my childhood not afraid and just gun ho and so smart shes gonna be so much fun to add to the family God bless welcome home Mildred
OH! Mildred is an absolute precious baby. I feel bad for her sad beginnings but she doesn't know this is her forever home and she will be so loved! I can't wait to see her come into herself when she is confident and full of Cog love from everybody! I bet Nana is going to fall in love with this little angel. Congrats on your new baby! The goat sounds are hilarious!
Congratulations on your new addition.,That Mildred is absolutely adorable. A couple days of bottling her will bring her running whenever she sees you coming. Enjoy!!!
Not to be ugly, it just in case you’d like to know; Hereford is her-ferd, Charolais is shar-lay. Have fun and good luck! The calf should get two bottles a day for best health
Not to be ugly but “Charolais” sounds French, then shar-lay is not correct BUT all words have an origin. Many times from different languages/countries that stay on and the pronunciation change over time. Even within one country there are different ways ppl say one word, different dialects. That doesn’t have to mean it’s the wrong way. With that said, “shar-lay” isn’t really “wrong”, but it’s definitely not how the French would say it 😉🤣
Moody is such a sweetheart. I think if I had the acreage, a farm setting, and help I would rescue horses and other animals. I have a lot of admiration for people who do. The calf is adorable! Merry Christmas to you! 🎄❤️🎄
Mildred is a beauty. I'm sure she'll bring you much joy to the farm and many new experiences!! Merry Christmas Moody, Jason, Brooke, MaryCarl and the Cog Hill 40 family!!
Awww! Welcome to the Coghill family Mildred! So sweet!! Y'all are so wonderful to take all these critters. God bless you and keep you safe and well. ❤️❤️❤️🙏🙏🙏
Aww, little Mildred is a beautiful little calf. I'm so happy that the wee rejected babe gets to be a pampered farm pet. My grandparents had a multi use farm, one of their decades long business ventures was a dairy farm, so there were always a lot of calves on the farm. I knew when you said the calf was only about 6 weeks old it wasn't going to be very large at all. Mildred has a really cute face with pretty eyes. Keep her clean and she's going to be beautiful. Good luck and when you do introduce Mildred to Moo I hope he'll be an appreciative well behaved gentleman.
Merry Christmas! What a beautiful addition to your farm. It won't be too long before she's chasing the goats around. Thank you for bringing us along, we love y'all! Have a wonderful Holiday Season.
Welcome to the farm Mildred! (That was my favorite Grandma's name!) She is beautiful. Jason, no judgement, just education, Hereford is pronounced Her-ford. We have Hereford and Angus where I'm at caretaking at Moms house. I just get to enjoy them from the back porch and don't have to do any of the work! 😁 Moody and Mildred will get along great! Merry, Merry Christmas Day!
I love watching you folks and your adventures. Little Mildred is a sweetie and lucky to have you as her family. She will be very well taken care of. This episode was quite mooving (pun intended). Thankyou all. Buon Natale too. 🎄
Definitely 2xs milk a day for quite a while. Calves don't wean from mom for several months. Will definitely needs a shelter.
Brook, you guys now are an official rescue farm 😀
I don't know if they're considered a rescue but they certainly rescued my heart❤

@@PLJS2018 Yes, scours can be deadly if not checked fast but I have no doubt that they have their bases covered!
That calf is way younger than 6 months it might need to be fed 3 times a day. I think she needs to have a heat lamp on her when it’s cold at night and on cold days.
I feel like Mildred was a present for all of us. What a sweet baby. So cute I just want to cuddle with her.
One more thing: When you build the shelter, consider putting in one stall with a head gate, which will come in very handy when veterinarians are needed for shots, hoof trimmings, etc. Look for a used head gate.
definitely
good name for her
That’s very smart!!!
Awe a little girl for moody

Good thing Sheriff Nugget find not see that. Tucker would have been arrested.
Molly would have been a cuter name for the little calf
Moody & Molly

My grandmother's name was Mildred, everyone called her Millie. Welcome to the 40 little one! ❤
I was going to suggest Millie as a nickname! Love the newest addition! 😍
Mildred is precious. What a great future mate for Moody.
Love that Mooody has a special new friend. The goats' reaction was interesting. They really had to discuss the new situation
"They really had to discuss the new situation." 🤣😂
That calf at Mary Carl's heels was absolutely adorable. How precious!!!

Ohhhh my goodness!!! Mildred is just beautiful!!!! She’s so tiny!! She will be just as sweet and friendly as Moody by the time she’s an adult. Congratulations!
you might want to start halter training Mildred while she is small. Merry Christmas to you and all the family (two and four legged)
Yes, start training right away. A few minutes a day. Tie her to stand still, but don't ever leave her. And take the halter OFF when not training.
Merry Christmas guy's and dolly's Love "Miss Mildred " she now has a very loving and caring family. She is so tiny.
I would offer her two bottles a day .
@@melissahannah587 Yeah, that's what the woman they got her off said.

Merry Christmas 🎄. Congratulations on the new calf. As an old rancher who has raised many a bottle calf they should be feed twice a day. Just FYI. Yes, we didn't use a heat lamp but our barn was snuggly.
She has no other to snuggle with so the trailer as a wind block is prefect.
I love that you adopted a baby sister for Moody! And such a beautiful baby girl Millie is. Be still my heart!❤❤❤
Congratulations on your new addition - Mildred is one lucky cow to be part of the Cog Hill Family. Merry Christmas.
Tucker is an amazing little girl. She is game for most anything.
