the 1060's do not support SLI in the conventional way, that part would either have to be just a single 1060 or none at all for actual, comparable, results.
We should get a used one. I came back a little later and have to say, no way, it's a waste of money even if you have plenty of it. Think of it, people that make money, mostly live poorly to make MORE money. But what for? You are selling your healthy youth for destroying the planet. I try to buy USED cell phones, cars and even my graphics cards.
You should do it Jay. I just swapped out Three TitanX maxwell for two TitanX Pascal. It's a beast. The pascals destroys the maxwell setup on Firestrike. But also actually works properly when gaming as I now have none of the 3 way sli issues. I couldn't be happier.
+RUNANDGUN87 Well don't forget about the dollar conversion, but yeah it probably would be much cheaper going to America to buy it, pretty fucked up ay.
Sub Me Up They have to order it from the same place we do. Unless they make it in house for some odd reason. Its usually more expensive to buy things in store.
Jayz , ffs, I have to comment on your idea of thermal throttling. You say it's not throttling because its still over the default clock, but the mechanics behind the "throttling" is exactly the Same! , It reduces the clocks to avoid the card from overheating. what the base clock is doesn't really matter, because it's doing what it's supposed to do. (unless the there actually IS a separate function of the card which kicks in only when the temps are under the base clock , to do the exact same job as turbo boost... yeah that sounds ridiculous.) It might not be the same function as in the past, before we had gpu boost, but the function is the same. please just accept that this is what people call it. just like the rest of us had to accept people using the word Bae. ;)
+JayzTwoCents Jay, dude....of course Nvidia are going to say that. If clocks reduce due to temp, It's thermal throttling. because that's what people understand by the term "thermal throttling". The whole "advertised speed" thing is irrelevant. If they changed the speed text on the box, would it change the workings of the card? lol of course not. Nvidia might want to redefine that word so they don't have to admit it, but the accepted meaning of the word is that.
Nvidia doesn't support sli more than two cards anymore so have fun with that, and who said everyone lives in third world countries or flips burgers in the US? Btw more people don't have the money to "Buy 4 titan xp's" mainly because it would put them in a bad financial state, wow, £4800 gone just like that, just like not everyone lives in third world countries, not everyone has the money to do things like that.
History repeats itself 1080 launches as new king then Titan X beats it at a ridiculous price. Fingers crossed for 1080 TI to restore the price-performance balance.

I think leaving it at Titan X is actually better than having the name change over the different gens. I got really confused when those Titans, Titans Black and Titan Zs were all over the place.
***** Just poking fun at NVidia lol. The naming thing is really confusing to be honest, not even just with the new Titan X. GTX 1080 was stupid naming IMO, and even AMD's cards naming scheme feels weird to me, RX now instead of R7/R9? I just feel like the names of the new gen GPUs are all a little weird. He already gave away his two kids for the review sample. Bet you he's running off to the park right now to scope out potential kids to ship off! Shame on you Jay.
No, of course it's not. He's making the joke about this whole process will repeat itself - when Volta GPUs are released from Nvidia, they will be considerably faster for considerably less money, exactly how the release of the GTX 1070 and 1080 totally got rid of any existing records set by the original Titan X.
Not only is this card finally able to max all my games at 3440x1440@60fps, it's provided a massive boost over my old Titan X in Sketch up. Complex models that really chugged when orbiting the view with shadows on now zip along so well pleased. "VERY NOISEY" during gaming though on games that work it hard! Awesome performance but for the money, a better cooler is warranted!
A two revolution wipe Jay? No wonder you want 2 Titan X's and go turnpike racing in a blown out fairlady. Always living life on the EDGE... edge.. edge... edge
my stupid reply is that, unless you have negative air pressure, putting that much unnecessary hot air through your rear case fan, and on to your CPU, unless you have water cooling.
Fans also experience wear, be it the motor or the bearing. The conservative fan curve is a good idea when it comes to noise and lifespan of the fan. Then again, if you aim to replace say, every five year, a custom fan curve won't hurt.
Well ive have had bad fans before not the greatest quality and ran 24/7 for 2-3 years before i replaced them and they still work they were just loud oem fans
Yeah, that's the NVIDIA marketing machine for ya, the Titan X is an absolute beast therefore the cheaper NVIDIA cards are better somehow? RX 470 is like 75% of a GTX 1060 for $100 less.
RX480 is 10% weaker than the GTX1060, the RX470 is at most 15% weaker than the RX480. 90% * 85% = 76.5%. 15% is quite a high assumption considering past "cut down" cards have been closer to 10% weaker but I don't want to overhype. Inb4 people failed high school math and rage at me.
Well they are used for two totally different kind of things where a quadro is used for things solely for number crunching type programs. A titan is I guess something you could use for everything.
"To all 1080 owners you where top dog for all of 2 months." 2 months later "To all Pascal Titan x owners you where top dog for all of 2 months with the 1080ti."
God I hope EVGA makes their aftermarket ACX GPU Cooler for the new TITAN X like they did for the original TITAN X. I hate the stock coolers, yeah they look cool but they don't perform even close to an EVGA ACX or ASUS Strix cooler.
+solomonshv Firstly, there's a difference between HBM and HBM2. Nvidia aren't interested in HBM, since it's limited to 4GB and GDDR5x on a 384bit bus gets close to its bandwidth but can support much higher capacity. They aren't any Pascal gpu's with HBM2, besides the Tesla GP100 super chip, which isn't a production silicon so it's irrelevant. If the yields are still not there with HBM2 for mass production, the it's entirely possible Volta could ship with GDDR5x.
Yep, we really do get rkt here in Australia in terms of the pricing. Bad conversion rate plus taxes on top of markups. I'm glad I made the jump to buy my 1070 a few months ago. No regrets so far.
I just recently bought a gtx 950 and before that I had a Gt 730. Let me say that if all you're gonna play is csgo or minecraft or some other shit like that, a gt 730 will work fine. granted lower res and shitty ass settings for csgo but still playable at like 105 average fps. I think we take what we have for granted. Also, a gtx950 is more than capable to play alot of games today. and for 160 dollars.
"granted lower res and shitty ass settings for csgo "------------actually no one cares about the graphics of CS:GO except for the resolution, because for a game like this one the FPS is far more important and let's be honest CS:GO looks like shit even at highest settings so no point in increasing the settings.
CS:GO - Second hand gtx 580 for $80 from ebay, 1440x1080, full AA, low graphics outside of Model texture which is at high at 150-200fps, even at 1920x1080 I'm on 120-130fps. The point being, CS is certainly is not a factor for someone looking at this card and anyone remotely interested in CS understands this. The game is built on an engine that is at it's best ancient, (incoming source 2 however) and certainly isn't designed to push systems and look as good as say Doom does. I appreciate your point however it's kind of moot.
I've heard we'll more likely be looking at a $1700 - $1900 retail price in Australia at release Jay. Still out of reach for all but the most die-hard of pixel chasers, sadly. Thanks for the in depth review and benchmarking, as always.
+ZondaboY64 i agree he should do the benchmarking. I also want to know the answer. I guess we could compare the benchmarks from the 1070 sli video with this video
And then the 1080 Ti will come out and destroy the new Titan X as the 980 Ti destroyed the old one. And then the Titan XX will come out and the loop will start again. Meanwhile AMD will make a new equivalent of the Fury with new tech now that this is available and won't be as powerful but more than enough for actually really play most game and be way way less expensive than Nvidia winning the performance per price and watts war as they did with the Fury X and the new RX 480 with the future RX 490, 495 and (new Fury with HBM2 on the Vega architecture)...
With their Fury X and Nano, AMD actually do a really good job in performances, thanks to HBM2 which was not yet 100% mastered, now they got enough experience with it, they even make a dual GPU card with this memory, still expensive, but I think they have tested enough to make a good new card that might be less expensive and more power efficient. And remember at a time how many Nvidia did actually burn ? xD It was a contamination. The same thing happened with the R9 290 apparently, don't make AMD inferior to Nvidia. Both AMD and Nvidia actually goes stupidly low with their fan settings, and the turbine design they both use is really bad, inefficient and noisy but cheap, you should prefer the heatsink with dual/triple fan design and use custom curve by using MSI Afterburner (or equivalent) or tweaking the BIOS if you know what you are doing, but default fan speed will never give good result and won't surprise me if things like that happen for any brand. AMD for the first time got their hand on 14 nm, they are probably perfecting it for the next graphic card to come and the AMD Zen which might be really good if not too expensive. You know, with two competitors (Intel and Nvidia) both with more revenue cause of the fanboys, they have to keep a really aggressive and risky strategy, and as anybody else, they also do prototype for new technology, that rather than just throwing away cash, make a product out of it and sell it, and I'm sure they are experimenting with HBM2 and 14nm for next GC and Zen with their Fury and RX serie. The RX 480 is a really good card and compete well, actually buying two 480 will ensure approximatively the same processing power as a 1080 and still cost less but consume more, that what they wanted to do since the beginning actually. They got really good at power consumption compared to previous cards, compared for example with the R9 390. Plus the 480 is not their flagship, the 490 might be until the 495 upgrade, but I won't be surprised if they release their 480 sooner than they wanted to keep up with Nvidia My first CG was an Nvidia, and after that I only used AMD, I've a MSI 7970 Lightning BE and I'm really happy with it. The problem with AMD is that they don't have their own silicon ship manufacture, they design the ship but don't print them, as Nvidia, but for their CPU the issue is that, the race toward trying to keep up with Intel (cause other silicon printer were late compare to Intel until the recent struggle they get with 14nm) forced AMD since a decade to adopt the strategy of lesser architecture pushed at higher clock speed. But now, they start to understand, and they gap between AMD and Nvidia since the GTX 9xx was never bigger, they will start to take everything back in hands and do better stuff I'm sure, in two years max you will probably love AMD better than Nvidia. And considering that my "old" HD7970 is still enough to play most recent games (I've not tester lastest, most are not interesting) I'm sure without VR I can play most of them on my 1080p monitor and with decent frame-rate and graphics, we don't need to spend 800€/£/$ for a graphic card, My 500€ Lightning was already extremely expensive for my taste, not price have gone crazy, AMD have done a good thing restoring the balance of reason about prices... So If I had to change my graphic card today, even though I can actually afford a 1080, I'll probably go for the 480. So AMD did not beat Nvidia instantly with a single card they just release, but they make bigger and bigger leaps toward it, mainly in price. And not only that but they still make every of their technology open, while Nvidia paid to make devs of games optimising their engine for Nvidia rather than AMD, all this for me, make AMD the best possible thing to buy.
Awesome analysis thanks Jay! if got the time I'd like to see a review of the new HB SLI bridge because I've read that if you use 2 flex bridges, it achieves pretty much the same result as the HB bridge.
Jay PLEASE show us some Render benchmarks for the new Titan, after all that is usually half the reason people buy em. So hard to find rendering benchmarks!
I thoroughly enjoyed the episode, your integration of humour and the human psyche was hilarious. The benchmarks were interesting, but exactly where I expected them to be. However these 10 series cards have really upset the Joe Bloggs decision making process as to which card to buy. You'd have thought it was curtains for the 9 series but I'm seeing people buying 9 series because that's what they wanted and prices are tumbling on top end 9 series. Personally I'm hanging on to my build until I get more information on cannon lake, which also allows greater time to bank roll it. Anyway jay, love your work, keep doing it, peace from the UK.
My brother in law just gifted me his desktop and it has the Nvidia titan x pascal in it. I didn't realize how much money his setup is worth. Calculated it out and its a 4+ thousand dollar rig. He also gave me a pistol, a like-new carbon fiber snowboarding rig and a brand new ps4 with VR setup and many games. Pretty damn stoked to have this!!! My brother in law might be the coolest person I've ever met.
I just tried playing League of Legends and Overwatch at max settings and it ran as smooth as butter. holy crap this setup is insane!! I cant believe I was gifted this....
Mine should be here today or tomorrow. Thanks Jayztwocents. Im glad to finally get a decent review of it and some small parts of how it clocks by itself and the range it can OC to. Always enjoy your reviews. Skunkworks NEEDS 2x TITAN X. you know 2x GTX1080 just wont be the Titans. Its never a need but a want. Please review SLI Titan X Pascal. Would love to see what it can do. I unfortunately have no more children for NVIDIA lol
@JayzTwoCents I think you mean baseclock when you say boostclock in the video, thats the only thing I found wrong about your review,, keep it up man ;)
Mines running at 1975 rock solid. I'm done with SLI. The 980GTX wasn't bad in SLI, but you need at least 30-40% more fps for SLI to seem as smooth as a single card. In my experience.
I hate to break it to anyone complaining about Jay defending the Titan X not thermal throttling, because it simply doesn't throttle. While it is easy to acknowledge thermal throttling as any kind of slowing down the proccessing unit in order to prevent itself from overheating the term actually reffers to slowing down the minimum guarantied clock, the baseclock and is applied to it in states. The lowest state T0 refers to 0% throttling, while the highest state T7 refers to 87,5% throttling (+12,5% per higher state). The boostclock is just an average bonus the GPU may recieve under estimated circumstances, however it is not a guarantied value to rely on in any scenario therefore it would be thermal adjusting not throttling as referred to by Jay.
Yea i do the fan curve as I'm sure most do but I've noticed setting a card at 100% fan speed when reaching 68c is by in large at least for me the best option in terms of performance gain.
I'm so glad I waited until last year to upgrade from my 750ti, when I was able to get a Titan X Pascal for less than the MSRP of a GTX 1080... but still technically paid more than MSRP of any modern graphics card that would beat the Titan X Pascal
I used to wanna wait for the new stuff to come out before I bought anything, but at this point with all the options out there you can just get something in your budget and have a good gaming experience. I mean, $200-300 cards are getting +60fps at 1080 these days.
Great review jay!, i'm honestly torn up now between getting a Titan Xp or 1080 in SLI, basically multi card performance or single card stability. (currently running 980 ti two way SLI)
Man, I gotta have some kids
Heeyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
Heeyyyyyyyyyyyyyy
Hi Paul, you gonna do some SLI Titan XP's when you get them?
Paul, is the Pascal Titan X for poor people?
takes about 9 months to deliver. so you can go for the more affordable option at that time, the 1080ti
Obviously the hair on the graphics card is part of NVIDIA Hairworks.
Can you do 2 x 1060 vs 1070 vs 1070 SLI vs 1080 vs 1080SLI vs tita xp?????
the 1060's do not support SLI in the conventional way, that part would either have to be just a single 1060 or none at all for actual, comparable, results.
lol good one
hey jayz. im sitting here watching this video with 2 titan x maxvell. and yes, im buying the new one, if evga make a hybrid. :)
lol saw that
I DONT NEED, BUT I WANT
EVERY PC GAMER THINKS THE SAME
haha yeah, everybody that says the titan x is not worth the money just can't afford it, fact
We should get a used one.

No he sold both of them. $600 each :D
interesting enough, you can sell children in the state of AZ legally. Not for labor or sex, but any other reasons are allowable.
really high balling it if you ask me ;-)
that would be 20.000 euro over here
>Brown haired.
Come on Jay, dont lie we can all see you going a wonderfully manly and elegant silver.
hahhahaha

That escalated quickly.
boom

6:42 60 fps in the witcher 3 in 4k?!?!? HOLY SHIT
yeah, 1200$..
+CoolCalebGaming 1070 is the new old titan x lol. Much cheaper yet more fps
+CoolCalebGaming this card is two years old
even though titan x from late 2014 still costs like 1000 euros while palit gtx 1070 jetstream (which can overclock higher) is 460 euros.
Maxwell titan x came out in 2015......
Am from Australia and can confirm $3000 price tag
*Minus $1000
+MrAntieMatter *plus $1000 for shipping
so... does that mean that it would be cheaper to take a trip to the US and buy it while you were here?

Two 1080's for the same price would bury the Titan XP and proceed to shit on its corpse
2 Titan XP would do the same to 1080s! If someone is willing to sell their wife and kids as sex slaves to rich Arabians.
+Jeffry Maiato it is still though mostly for 4k
theres alot of people who can afford quad sli titan xp with ease, you know not everybody live in third world countrys or flips burgers in the US...

+Vicious One Prices don't jump that high for new cards. Just look at 6:55 how the 1080 was only $50 more than 980ti on launch dates
the 1080 is the successor to the 980.. and it's more expensive than the 980ti
jayz is using a AXON phone, good!!!
Lol I'm glad someone else noticed
+John Matthews Yep, me too
Its a VERY solid phone, but its not my daily driver since Im on a CDMA network and not GSM :(

dude this was the best skit you've done so far, Jay! Like miles above the others!
"How much for the little girl? How much for the women? Your women. I want to buy your women. The little girl, your daughters ... sell them to me. Sell me your children!"
'what about paper?'
'have you ever seen paaper before?'
+GTX-Max maybe he is serious
SLI two 2 ghz overclocked Titan XP's on water and add a third for PhysX
THINK OF THE BENCHMARKS
They would be amazing.
Having a third for Physx will slow down the other 2, it's best to use the sli for physx and don't use the third card
Prolly gonna do that without the 3rd one for PhysX.
For all of 5 games...
that would be glorious (i've seen video that it can run witcher 3 with hairworks 60fps 5K)
im enjoying your intros more and more jay. keep up the good work
Legend says when youre early he will reply
the legends are true
+JayzTwoCents love the video man keep it up 👍
+JayzTwoCents a rare Jay appears!
The skit in the begining had me dying
T_T
no srsly pls halp
+JayzTwoCents don't need two
The legend says Jay needs to stop kicking cats
Who cares.
+Crunchy Napkin I do! And i know a bunch of other people do! You need an asswooping
Sehmus Cibran I'd like you see you try. It's a stupid fucking cat.
+Crunchy Napkin woaah! I'm not gonna give you an asswooping! But garfield will.. But dood it is so Cute tho.
+Grey Valentine Fuck you ;)
thx 4 the vid . just ordered 2 of Pascal GTX Titan X in sli .. happy days
would my i7 4790k support two titan x's in sli ??
I liked literally only for that Titan XXX joke.
But for real, the fuck is this naming scheme all about? Titan xP? What's next, the Titan Rawr! ?
They dont officially call it Titan XP, the audience does... leaving the name Titan X made is so confusing for everyone
+JayzTwoCents *it
Obviously the next one will be called the Titan Vista :)
I think leaving it at Titan X is actually better than having the name change over the different gens.

Just sell another kid.

Skunkworks is about excess, why are you holding back.
+crazymonkeyboom do you think price is an issue... He could get for free from nvidia too.
+Jacob Watterson yeah nvidia sponsors his skunkworks build
+Code - E well they don't sponsor (correct me if wrong) but I'm sure they would be more than willing to give him another
they dont sponsor, but they do give out free cards sometimes
Titan XM x3 is better than Titan XP x2, most likely.
Does anyone remember the Titan Z?
shhhhh. we don't talk about that. it was a bad time.
+JakobyGames shah. It murder wallets
its shit for price per preformance
No, and SHHHHH. WE don't talk about that. It was a dark period for nvidia...
We don't. Keep it that way
It was nice of Nvidia to give you one hair on the fan (2:34) from the children you traded =) Keep up the good work Jay.
GTX 1170 is faster than the New Titan X!
MSRP: 449$
Founder's Edition: 539$
Cheapest one on amazon with a hideous blower cooler: 519$
the 1170 is already out? shit I was just about to get the 1070 Lol
Well, next week they are previewing the 1380 Quarter-mile Edition with 64 GB of DDR8+ VRAM and 4988 boost clock. So might as well wait for that one.
No, of course it's not. He's making the joke about this whole process will repeat itself - when Volta GPUs are released from Nvidia, they will be considerably faster for considerably less money, exactly how the release of the GTX 1070 and 1080 totally got rid of any existing records set by the original Titan X.
Give that 100 more (559, 639, 619) and you're on the right track. 970 = 350, 1170 = 570
+Julian Taffa just wait another year and volta cards for mainstream will be released. but for now I'm gonna settle with 1060 :/
I died at "No that's Luke"

I have a stupid reply. You don't have to use your ears to see this comment.
Mine is: Above 0 degrees Kelvin = 120% fan speed. Even with the computer off.
my stupid reply is that, unless you have negative air pressure, putting that much unnecessary hot air through your rear case fan, and on to your CPU, unless you have water cooling.
this comment is great
That's the best review of a GPU so far Ray. Seriously.
Why sell a card with a fan capable for spinning at say 2400 rpm and locking it at 1200 and so it causes it to throttle its just stupid
It actually spins more like 6000 rpm
+JayzTwoCents never knew that all ive had is fans never blowers
6000 rpm ? My blower 670 can't go over 3600RPM at 80% (can't go over 80% either.)
Once day I'll be able to afford a Nvidia card maybe a 1060.
If you're not currently going with a 1070 at least (Realistically 1080/New TitanX) AMD has better cards for the money.
10 years later
*buys gtx 260 *
Yeah, that's the NVIDIA marketing machine for ya, the Titan X is an absolute beast therefore the cheaper NVIDIA cards are better somehow? RX 470 is like 75% of a GTX 1060 for $100 less.
+RaceOfAce benchmarks for proof?
RX480 is 10% weaker than the GTX1060, the RX470 is at most 15% weaker than the RX480. 90% * 85% = 76.5%. 15% is quite a high assumption considering past "cut down" cards have been closer to 10% weaker but I don't want to overhype.
Inb4 people failed high school math and rage at me.
The most informative tech videos on youtube Jason. Keep it up! Oh and yes, we get buttraped here in AUS on hardware pricing!
Anyone else see the hair at 2:40?... No? Ya did now. :P Much
WHY DO YOU DO THIS TO ME
And it starts with a »P«. ;)
It is a pube for sure. Jay had sex with his new Titan X confirmed.
JediSoulfly
For sure, because he wants a 2nd one. :D
LMAO !!! :D
Are they relaunching the Quadro as well?
yeah they recently announced two Quadro cards with Pascal architecture
I believed they are called Quadro K7000 and M7000
+Zero necker nice try. They actually have a slightly different name tho.
Wellp add another $1k to the already $5K card xD
Well they are used for two totally different kind of things where a quadro is used for things solely for number crunching type programs. A titan is I guess something you could use for everything.
Love the shtick in some of these videos! Dude, do the dual Titan XP's. As one who can afford 1080's, I need someone to live vicariously through.
Nice pube on the blower fan at 2:35 I know the Titan XP is exciting...but dang :)
"To all 1080 owners you where top dog for all of 2 months."
2 months later
"To all Pascal Titan x owners you where top dog for all of 2 months with the 1080ti."
TbonePlays And now.
Awesome video Jay! Great quality and amazing intro and outro! Keep up the great work. BTW I want one too so I know the struggle.
The legend was true before...will it be true again?
The legend becomes less true as the world turns
+JayzTwoCents lol
SO x2 titans for skunkworks, and then nvidia will release, or perhaps UNLEASH the 1080-ti.... it's a busy time for Jay.
Nope
God I hope EVGA makes their aftermarket ACX GPU Cooler for the new TITAN X like they did for the original TITAN X. I hate the stock coolers, yeah they look cool but they don't perform even close to an EVGA ACX or ASUS Strix cooler.
just put a water block on it and over clock it
+Alex Centeno Exactly
When did EVGA make a custom cooled Titan X?
+noobkiller463 they sold it as and ad on
There aren't aftermarket coolers for the Titan X, Pascal or Maxwell, other than the Hydro Copper and Hybrid from EVGA....
Thanks for including the MSRP for each card
Should I get the titan X or the titan X? lol, nah, I have no kids to give nvida
Don't buy the Titan X, it's a piece of shit. The Titan X is far better.
they doesn't have to be YOUR kids
You made my day! :'-D
You could always give blood.
The Titan X performs like a 1070, get the Titan X instead.
Hahahaha loved the intro
Verified
Nice to see real gameplay in a gpu review, thanks Jay!
So this means that the 1080 Ti won't have HBM2 ??? Damn, I guess I'm waiting until Volta...
Volta will be a re-branded pascal. It wont have HBM as well.
Bullshit. There are pascal graphics cards with HBM, just not the geforce series.
Volta will have HBM for sure.
do you care about HBM2 or performance?
+solomonshv Firstly, there's a difference between HBM and HBM2. Nvidia aren't interested in HBM, since it's limited to 4GB and GDDR5x on a 384bit bus gets close to its bandwidth but can support much higher capacity. They aren't any Pascal gpu's with HBM2, besides the Tesla GP100 super chip, which isn't a production silicon so it's irrelevant. If the yields are still not there with HBM2 for mass production, the it's entirely possible Volta could ship with GDDR5x.
TheScaleless Whatever happens I will wait for HBM2.
Yeah I paid $1200 for my gtx 1080 thanks Australia.
i paid $1190 thanks Canada
I paid 450 for a 960. Thanks Montenegro
Bruh here in New zealand the GTX 1080 is $1500
I Paid RX 460 $170 Thanks Indonesia
i live in canada and got mine for $870...why did you pay so much?
Yep, we really do get rkt here in Australia in terms of the pricing. Bad conversion rate plus taxes on top of markups.
I'm glad I made the jump to buy my 1070 a few months ago. No regrets so far.
4fps gain for all that noise? No thank you
solomonshv lol...kids
+Patrick If you are wearing headphones with a loud fan you don't even hear it. Not to mention if audio is going through them.
+Patrick deleting comments? haha pussyzz
4 fps in 4k is like 20 in 1080
I just recently bought a gtx 950 and before that I had a Gt 730.
Most of the people here don't only play CS:GO. Anyone with a moderate level of hardware understanding would know what is and isn't overkill for CS:GO
gotta buy this titan for CS:GO
"granted lower res and shitty ass settings for csgo "------------actually no one cares about the graphics of CS:GO except for the resolution, because for a game like this one the FPS is far more important and let's be honest CS:GO looks like shit even at highest settings so no point in increasing the settings.
Hey Me :D
I've heard we'll more likely be looking at a $1700 - $1900 retail price in Australia at release Jay. Still out of reach for all but the most die-hard of pixel chasers, sadly.
Thanks for the in depth review and benchmarking, as always.
Could you do 1070 SLI vs titan x aswell?
As nvidia ditched 3 and 4 way sli, i don't think 2 1070s will have any chance against it. Plus the price difference
Piyush Ochani I think 2 1070 will beat the titan x by about 15%.
+ZondaboY64 i agree he should do the benchmarking. I also want to know the answer. I guess we could compare the benchmarks from the 1070 sli video with this video
The Titan xp will eat them up.
Air stuff17 Maybe in games with horrible sli support....
Good card for budget PC Build, Its cheap too.
David how is it cheap?
David In 5-10 years...

You always pick the most fitting background music.
Plus the 480 is not their flagship, the 490 might be until the 495 upgrade, but I won't be surprised if they release their 480 sooner than they wanted to keep up with Nvidia
My first CG was an Nvidia, and after that I only used AMD, I've a MSI 7970 Lightning BE and I'm really happy with it.
And not only that but they still make every of their technology open, while Nvidia paid to make devs of games optimising their engine for Nvidia rather than AMD, all this for me, make AMD the best possible thing to buy.
tl:dr
the answer is yes.
great tip about the fan curve! you just gotta new sub love your style bruh!!!
If it was $1k I could see myself going for one but it's really steep at 1200. Definitely a waiting game to see what the other makers can do with this.
Best intro ever Jay ! :D
Love the outro ! :D
Nice video Jay! Liked the style
You should do a video showing all of the hardware and stuff you have accumulated over the years!!
Awesome intro Jay!
Jay you've got to get the titans for skunkworks. Its meant to be a overkill build.
I like how you named it Titan XP in the benchmarks :) Linus called it first!
Also, you DO need 2 Titan XP's!!!!
Fanboy
linus didn't call shit. It was literally called that on reddit within the hour after the announcement.
So much hate :I
And facts
Mine should be here today or tomorrow. Thanks Jayztwocents. Im glad to finally get a decent review of it and some small parts of how it clocks by itself and the range it can OC to.
Always enjoy your reviews.
Skunkworks NEEDS 2x TITAN X. you know 2x GTX1080 just wont be the Titans.
Its never a need but a want.
Please review SLI Titan X Pascal. Would love to see what it can do.
I unfortunately have no more children for NVIDIA lol
The intro was awesome! :-)
I'm not one to comment that easy, but this episode here was realy funny. Love the little sketches. Keep on Going like this :)
wow i though 18 mins are gonna be really boring but this guys is funny and the video is really entertaining :D good job ma friend .
Haha we have ALL been in the 'I don't need you!' situation with products before! Really liked that sketch!
I'm eagerly waiting for the SLI video! :D
great review as always :) I ordered one now the waiting begins :(
lol Jay, awesome intro. YOU ROCK!
I like the into on this review. Much more entertaining then the usual obligatory bla bla bla, also thanks for the commiserations for us Aussi's :)
Gosh, that was one of the funniest videos I've seen in a while :D good job!
I think you should do 2 x GTX 1070 vs 1 Titan X (2016) as well. Should be more fair comparison when thinking about price amd their computing power.
Jay, you need to Titan XP's, you need to see how it performs in SLI, you need to get the highest Firestrike score.
Love the review Jayz! :)
I hate to break it to anyone complaining about Jay defending the Titan X not thermal throttling, because it simply doesn't throttle.
While it is easy to acknowledge thermal throttling as any kind of slowing down
the proccessing unit in order to prevent itself from overheating the term actually
reffers to slowing down the minimum guarantied clock, the baseclock and is applied to it in states.
The lowest state T0 refers to 0% throttling, while the highest state T7 refers
to 87,5% throttling (+12,5% per higher state).
The boostclock is just an average bonus the GPU may recieve under estimated circumstances,
however it is not a guarantied value to rely on in any scenario
therefore it would be thermal adjusting not throttling as referred to by Jay.
Would like to see a bench mark of the TitanX vs AMD Pro duo Radeon. Those two cards are beast in 2016.
Definively one of your best vids! Made me laugh hard. 😂
Haha, that is totally me at the end of this video, just finishing my STH10 build and now I want 2 Titan XPs to go in it.
Hey, you're going to need two of those for when 4k VR headsets come around :P
Your work inspires me, thank you.
