I’m not fully sure what Express VPN is. For example, Could I watch the Japanese Netflix? What are the best reasons to get Express VPN. I enjoy your channel.
@@maylewis2421 Yes! Put simply, you choose which country you'd like to access, and the server essentially puts you in that country. So if you select Japan and surf the internet, you'd be surfing the Japanese internet (hence, Japanese Netflix - Top 10 on Netflix would show Japan's Top 10)
@@EonTalk thank you for the response. This is something that I’d be interested in. Once in the Japanese internet do I sign up for Netflix in Japan? Same question about Korean Netflix. It seems like Netflix for both countries have really good context since I love the movies and dramas for both countries especially Korea.
@@maylewis2421 Don't know if you got the answer but....if you have Netflix in the USA you don't have to sign up for Netflix in the other countries. The VPN will just make your IP address the selected country and you'll get the movies on that country's Netflix. The only downside is that it may not have English subtitles for all the films especially newer ones.
i watched all of them, sad you didn't put oldboy and the man from nowhere in the list. here some more great films to watch: (in no particular order and action/thriller/drama) note: some of this is not too great, just a good time spender if you're up to it. hide and seek (parasite on steroids) deranged (virus worms that can make you thirsty edit:you seen those videos where a worm came out of the mantis? yes that's the virus only to hoomans 😅) the king (prosecutor, awesome) asura city of madness (crime thriller action great) the flu (virus, contagious spread) bluebeard (crime thriller, who did it movie) believer (crime thriller, first middle superb acting. not sure about the climax) innocent witness (drama, lawyer with a heart, great acting from the girl) parallel life (crime thriller, who did it movie. i mean really? so many effin twist. kinda overkill) the chase " " hope (drama, if this doesn't make you cry you're an animal joke 😆) blood and ties (drama thriller, who did it movie. watched it just bec. of ye jin super cute) new world (crime, great movie) tunnel (actor stuck in the tunnel) terror live(same actor stuck in the news room 😅) take point (again, same actor mostly stuck in the rest room 🤣) nameless gangster( same actor not stuck anymore finally! [reunion of the chaser actors]) edit: Ashfall (recent movie, same actor. gonna watch it hope he's not stuck anywhere in this film again 🤞)
Now that's exactly how I'd describe each movies. Awesome list. It's pretty hard to outdo a Korean movie. In my opinion Korean movies and dramas are the best.
Watched MEMORIES OF MURDER, I SAW THE DEVIL and The Chaser before coming upon this list. I don't know if its a me thing, but Korean language and those chase scenes in gloomy and rainy setting, makes an effective ambiance for thriller genre. Thanks for the great list.
My top picks: MOTHER, MEMORIES OF MURDER, THE CHASER for sure. I couldn't watch some of the movies here because I can't really do gory stuff.... But I really enjoyed your list.
Gangster films are on a genre of its own and I hope you make a list for it too. i wonder where you're going to place 'A Dirty Carnival' bc it's my all-time fave gangster film lol
@Limitedly Unlimited I just love how A Dirty Carnival stayed true to its genre, it's not pretentious at all. And we also got Jo In Sung's finest performance of his career.
@Limitedly Unlimited Yes, of course omg! I never miss a Hwang Jung Min film bc he's one of my fave Korean actors (along with Song Kang Ho & Lee Byung Hun). In fact in one of EonTalk's videos, I commented that New World was the 'most memorable' film of 2013 for me. I just really think that A Dirty Carnival (tho released years prior to New World) nailed all the right elements of a gangster film, it's so raw.
Chaser was remade in Bollywood as "Murder 2" and I saw the devil was also remade as "Ek the villian". I am slightly disappointed that you didn't include Forgotten in this list.
As fantastic as The Chaser and The Wailing are I always felt Na Hong Jin's middle film, The Yellow Sea, never seems to get it's due. I can't honestly say it's the best overall film of the three, but it's definitely the one I've re-watched the most due to sheer entertainment.
Eontalk, you should recommend 2013 Korean thriller 'Montage' too. I would say that was a lotttt better Korean thriller movie than Confession of Murder. Another one from the same actor of Confession of Murder/ Castaway on the Moon, 'Broken' 2014 was Amazing.
I've watched almost all of them. Terrific movies, except for "Memoir of a Murderer" which is a mixed bag. The scene in which the young serial killer remove parts of his head makes no sense at all. I would add a couple more films to the list: "Montage", "Forgotten" (as mentioned by somebody here), "No mercy" , "Door lock" and "Hide and Seek".
Here is the list mentioned in this video: 10.Hard day 9.Memoir of the murder 8.Confession of murder 7.Mother 6.Inside man 5.Traffickers 4.The willing 3.The chaser 2.I saw the devil 1.Memories of murder Some of my fav thriller mystery movies that I want to add are- 1.Forgotten 2.The tale of two sisters 3.Montage 4.Handmaiden 5.Old boy 6.Insane 7.Intruder
i just finish watching The Chaser, OMG i dont know if i can handle another Korean movie! I'm still Crying, Omg i didnt even know i had all these emotions inside me :-(!!!!!!!!!! i cant handle it !!!!!!!!!!!!! but still im going to watch another. ill tell you about it as soon as im done
I've always loved watching movies in different genres. However, I would normally stay away from extremely violent (graphic) movies as I find them really disturbing. But, I gave Oldboy (as recommended by a friend) a try, and oh boy! It made me realize that I have a thing for this genre as long as it has an engaging story. That's when I started watching other Korean thrillers such as I Saw the Devil (which I've seen 3 times already), The Chaser, The Wailing, Inside Men, etc. I am happy that these no holds barred movies are getting the attention they deserve.
All the movies you mentioned are watched by me too. I just can't forget old boy. What can I say....It's amazing in its way. Still now I hear that movie's ost, it's addictive, you can try. The last waltz make me feel pain and love in same place together. Another movie, sympathy for lady vengeance, this one is also wonderful, as well as it's heavenly ost music.
I am recommending strongly A real thriller one, the SVAHA : THE SIXTH FINGER. cant believe why nobody tell about this one. It might be unpopular to foreigners? hmm..
Confessions of murder.👍 Battleship island.👍 Taxi driver.👍 Tazza.👍 Sympathy for Mr Vengeance.👍 Thirst.👍 The wailing.👍 Peppermint Candy.👍 My Way.👍👍 Snowpiercer.👍 Along with the gods.👍👍
Guys I'm desperate and don't know where to ask but a couple of years back I watched this Korean thriller where a successful director came home and found out his wife was tied up by a buglar. The buglar then tortured the couple and everything happened only in a living room. But at the end it turns out that the living room is a film set and they were only acting. I know this may sound stuuuupid but somehow it's been living in my head rent free for days, if you know the name please help a girl out 🥺
Despite how much I've loved Parasite (2019), I'm 100% behind your comments that Memories of Murder (2003) is a better film. Great video! Please keep 'em coming.
I have also watched most of the movies in the list. My first top choice goes to 1️⃣ Old Boy 🥈 I saw the Devil 😈 There are no movies like this both are simply outstanding
I'm now seeing several of the same actors in K. movies. In my opinion Korea's putting out some of the best movies on the planet. They need more actors.
Agree with this list 101%! Oldboy and The Chaser were my introduction to Korean cinema (watched them back to back at 14 years old uwu) and I'll never forget the feeling of watching them for the first time- that gripping suspense. Na Hong Jin's holy trinity thrillers are 👍👌. He's mastered the genre imo. The scene in Confession of Murder where Jung Jae Yong threw Jjajjang on Park Si Hoo's face was iconic lmao, "I'm using the media too", just brilliant. Watched Memoir of a Murderer and Another Story in order and they were both mind-blowing. Not on the same 'level' as these films but worth the mention: Bedevilled (female cast!!), Hide & Seek, The Piper, No Mercy, A Day and Monster because they were pretty enjoyable. And I'm not sure if it falls under the same category but DAMN there's Forgotten, The Truth Beneath, Thirst, Moss and Bluebeard too! Korea is indeed a master of thriller films.
Man how can you completely leave Oldboy out of this list, it's easily the best and deserves the #1 spot, although I do love Memories of Murder. Oldboy needs to at least on the list though, damn

Sign up for ExpressVPN and access more Korean movies! 👉 www.expressvpn.com/eontalk
@@raghuramyatam8188 Wtf! Stfu
Old Boy, No Mercy, Sympathy for Lady Vengeance are also good Korean thrillers.
i watched all of them, sad you didn't put oldboy and the man from nowhere in the list.
here some more great films to watch:
(in no particular order and action/thriller/drama)
note: some of this is not too great, just a good time spender if you're up to it.
hide and seek (parasite on steroids)
deranged (virus worms that can make you thirsty edit:you seen those videos where a worm came out of the mantis? yes that's the virus only to hoomans 😅)
the king (prosecutor, awesome)
asura city of madness (crime thriller action great)
the flu (virus, contagious spread)
bluebeard (crime thriller, who did it movie)
believer (crime thriller, first middle superb acting. not sure about the climax)
innocent witness (drama, lawyer with a heart, great acting from the girl)
parallel life (crime thriller, who did it movie. i mean really? so many effin twist. kinda overkill)
the chase " "
hope (drama, if this doesn't make you cry you're an animal joke 😆)
blood and ties (drama thriller, who did it movie. watched it just bec. of ye jin super cute)
new world (crime, great movie)

edit:
Ashfall (recent movie, same actor. gonna watch it hope he's not stuck anywhere in this film again 🤞)
Now that's exactly how I'd describe each movies. Awesome list. It's pretty hard to outdo a Korean movie. In my opinion Korean movies and dramas are the best.
@@slgee7205 haha thanx. i want those who can see the list gets intrigued enough to watch them.
Wow this list and descriptions is 🔥🔥
Thanks for sharing! :)
@@EonTalk thank you sir!! i always watch your vids to keep up with all this new films. keep up the good work sir. thank you!
@@EonTalk i subscribed to your channel because you have awesome movie trailers
Freaking No Mercy (2010) still gives me chills!!
I Saw the Devil and Memoir of a Murderer are unbelievable. And Memories of Murder? My god. Fabulous list!
I prefer "Bedevilled" than "I Saw The Devil".It's more darker. Must watch it first though,To call it a go...
Watched The Call. I swear I've never seen this much amount of thriller in a movie! It's just amazing
FORGOTTEN deserves to be in the top 5.
Agreed, Traffickers is one of underrated Korean movies
"Missing" is also great fast paced thriller! Really underrated!
True that ...very touched clumax ....felt sad
My top picks: MOTHER, MEMORIES OF MURDER, THE CHASER for sure.
I couldn't watch some of the movies here because I can't really do gory stuff.... But I really enjoyed your list.
The Flu is what got me hooked on South Korean movies!
The chaser made me sweat nervously for the whole duration of the movie.
Chaser was remade in Bollywood as "Murder 2" and I saw the devil was also remade as "Ek the villian".
I am slightly disappointed that you didn't include Forgotten in this list.
Ohoho same taste 😍 hahahahaha
The fact that the directors are mentioned and their other works got my respect 👍
Very nice.
Memories of Murder is one of the best movies ever made.
Thats a big statement, i will check this movie out
Agreed 😌😌
There is 2 in same name which one
@@pemaloday Its the movie which is made in the year 2003
i like memoirs of a murderer better. But both are #1 and #2
As fantastic as The Chaser and The Wailing are I always felt Na Hong Jin's middle film, The Yellow Sea, never seems to get it's due. I can't honestly say it's the best overall film of the three, but it's definitely the one I've re-watched the most due to sheer entertainment.
i think you forgot The Gangster, The Cop, The Devil
I loved this movie
It's more of an action genre than thriller
Well done! Bloody solid list. Honourable mention Yellow Sea, Bedevilled, New World, Train to Busan.
When I finished watching "I saw the devil" I really became speechless, It feels like I saw a real devil hahahah
Watch " The Private Eye" and " The Client ". worth mentioning ..
sorry i bet they're good movies but this a korean thrillers list
Fyi the client and The private eye both r Korean thriller movies
i just watched the client and its boring as hell. all they do is talk talk talk for two hours
Here is the list mentioned in this video:
10.Hard day
9.Memoir of the murder
8.Confession of murder
7.Mother
6.Inside man
5.Traffickers
4.The willing
3.The chaser
2.I saw the devil
1.Memories of murder
Some of my fav thriller mystery movies that I want to add are-
1.Forgotten
2.The tale of two sisters
3.Montage
4.Handmaiden
5.Old boy
6.Insane
7.Intruder
i just finish watching The Chaser, OMG i dont know if i can handle another Korean movie! I'm still Crying, Omg i didnt even know i had all these emotions inside me :-(!!!!!!!!!! i cant handle it !!!!!!!!!!!!! but still im going to watch another. ill tell you about it as soon as im done
The great news are that "Criterion Collection" has announced that they will be releasing "Memories of Murder" later this year, 2020!!!
My best Korean movies are
1) Call ⭐
2) Train to busan 😔
3) Face Reader 🔥
4) Parasite 🤫
5) The Concubine (18+) 😚
I agree on The Traffickers, truly an underrated korean thriller.
I agree with Memories of Murder as no.1. For me, The Wailing comes a close second.
the chaser is my favourite ♥ i watched it so many times. even until now i still enjoy the movie so much.
Okay but to everyone here have you watched
-Believer
- The coin locker girl
- The witch
I highly highly recommend them specially believer
Oldboy are two..the one of 2003 and another one..plz which one is this you are talking about
I've only been into Korean movies about 5 years. I love Korean movies and your list is excellent, I've seen most of them.
Forgotten and believer are must watch Korean thrillers
List starts at 2:00 .. thank you
Oh Dal Su is all up in them movies. Dude is prolific AF!
I am recommending strongly A real thriller one, the SVAHA : THE SIXTH FINGER.
cant believe why nobody tell about this one.
It might be unpopular to foreigners? hmm..
I watched the wailing 3 weeks ago and until now im still thinking about. The best thriller movie ever. I was totally shocked with all the twists
Definitely one of the best Korean movies ever made.
Where did you watch The wailing with english subtitles?
Kissasian
Confessions of murder.👍
Battleship island.👍
Taxi driver.👍
Tazza.👍
Sympathy for Mr Vengeance.👍
Thirst.👍
The wailing.👍
Peppermint Candy.👍
My Way.👍👍
Snowpiercer.👍
Along with the gods.👍👍
Lee Byung Hun is my #1 superstar of Kmovies. I almost watched his all movies. Loads of ❤️❤️ from 🇳🇵🇳🇵
South Korea makes the absolute best movies, period. I don't even bother with Hollywood movies anymore.
"Truck" and "Midnight" can be options too if you wanna watch thriller that isn't heavy alone in the middle of night
Really forgotten is oscar deserved movie...so great!!!!
I'd like to add 'Montage', the plot, the twits it's worth watching
Confession of Murder is amazing. The twist is really shocking.
Je Lazaga watched this 6 years ago and would still love to watch for this over and over again
I know this may sound stuuuupid but somehow it's been living in my head rent free for days, if you know the name please help a girl out 🥺
How about "Cold Eyes"
one of the best korean thriller movie that i've watch is No Mercy i cant move on from after watching it
Better know what you get yourself into when you decided to watch those movies because it is not gonna be sunny day after that.
Can't believe oldboy and forgotten didn't make the list
The Chaser was a fantastic ride. Felt in love with Korean thrillers because of it.
I just watched The Traffickers from your recommendation. HUWAAA awesome!
Despite how much I've loved Parasite (2019), I'm 100% behind your comments that Memories of Murder (2003) is a better film.
Great video! Please keep 'em coming.
Both r shittiest
You seem serious about korean films. I see, you're a man of culture as well.
I have also watched most of the movies in the list. My first top choice goes to 1️⃣ Old Boy 🥈 I saw the Devil 😈 There are no movies like this both are simply outstanding
Because of Choi min sik
The chaser was phenomenal. Got me hooked to Ha jung woo😊
Man how can you completely leave Oldboy out of this list, it's easily the best and deserves the #1 spot, although I do love Memories of Murder. Oldboy needs to at least on the list though, damn
