Omg can you acknowledge the gloss meter readings! These are highest ratings I have ever seen from any product! Yes you did mention and show the gloss ratings but I feel it deserved more of a wow factor.

Many thanks Brian for doing a kamikaze review. It’s been a while since you’ve done one, and overcoat is one of my top 3 “toppers”. If I would’ve bought V4 on accident I would have been pissed as V3 is a spray and works great to mix with ECH2O and other similar rinseless washes for a great detail spray. The kamikaze overcoat line bonds great with all types of coatings. Would be great if you could test these great boutique/enthusiast brands as actual toppers on coated panels. Overcoat is a sheeter like, PA, Luster and others when used as a topper which is kind of crazy when coatings are suppose to reject hellfire and brimstone. 🤪🤪🤪🤪 Thanks again for your time and hands down you’re one of the top detail influencers.
Can you review over coat 4.1 the sprayable version. It seems to sheet more from videos I have seen but no one has tested the product in the manner you do.

Isn't that the product that had a bunch of TH-cam ads? If it is that product, it was reviewed by several pro detail channels and it was pure garbage. Didn't even hold up to 10 washes.

Most products out there are fine for Xpel. I use Carpro Elixir most of the time and Auto Fanatics 007 Gloss Enhancer, no issues whatsoever. I will first be testing Kamikaze Anti Aging Shampoo but am also curious about this product
You find any other coating and topper combos give the same quality appearance as the Kamikaze Miyabi/Zipang/overcoat combo? Price or application of these DIY’s aren’t the problem, it’s firsthand knowledge of the finishes all these diff coatings provide. That’s in advance for any advice. I can careless about beading care more about sheeting and looks more than anything. Thanks I’m advance for any advice you can provide.
@@ralphlauren6094 I have not. I would suggest finding a coating specifically for PPF. PPF expands and contracts more than painted aluminum and or plastics. Need a coating that’s flexible.
When you said Tesla's paint sucks, I feel the same way about the cars in general. They have no character. They look as if they were shaped from a cookie cutter. JS, I don't wish to hurt anyone's feelings. Thanks for sharing your personal experience Brian.
I’ve got a ‘16 Honda Civic. It’s been the daily driver and guniea pig in my detailing journey. Despite being my 7th Honda, I cannot stress enough how much this paint sucks. If you watch the Lake Country correction series on the very same car, you’ll see. I thought time and time again I had bad paint correction techniques, only to eventually learn that I was fighting a near-impossible war with crappy paint. It wasn’t until I repainted the hood myself and wet-sanded/flatted the entire car that I felt like it looked right. I’ve detailed so many other cars and immediately had far-better outcomes. Paint matters. I doubt I’ll buy another Honda product. That’s how pissed I am at them. Until they paint their entire line like they do the top-shelf NSX, I’ll be looking more at Lexus.

I think Extreme Solutions Poly Seal and then topped with Topper is very competitive
I tried Polyseal and didn’t have great luck with it. Love that LVR321 of theirs though.

Brian, have you used optimum clear coat restorer at all lately? Does 2 coats build enough to wetsand & polish?
On some classic cars. 2 to 3 coats.
@@apexdetail85 does 3 coats allow for wetsanding with 2500 by hand, followed by 3000 on the DA?
With 3k grit. Can’t go more aggressive than that normally

Nope, only ISM and Zipang can give you that true candy gloss.

I got “sticker shock” when i saw the cost of that little bottle. I’ll stick with Chemical Guys or Adams.
Kamikaze is expensive, but once you use their coating. You won't bother looking for another products.
good product. Unnecessary expensive. Planty of products out there with similar qualities for less money.
