I want to do this, often I've stood on the shore in awe of the power of the river, watch the live cam nearly everyday. To ride that power, ride on the amazing river would be a truly awesome experience. The river cares not for man's folly. But folly man must,,,,,,,
I finally had a chance to use a boat that gave depth readings. There are places in the center that would show 3' or less. The channel was deep and I did see a few 70' pings. I never knew what to make of those. After watching sailboats with small engines barely make headway against the current and feeling the current almost stop and then double when the lake freighters pass, I concluded that the surface water might be safe but the lower areas were probably best avoided. It could be fun on a sturdy raft with safety equipment and friends.
This was fun this year thanks for the video Paul I'm so grateful for your videos thanks again

I am glad to see this. The water is a beautiful blue but the current is strong. This might give me the confidence to try on a sunny day.
Looks like fun! I wish I knew about it. Maybe I'll join in next year!
Thanks for showing us this Paul
