- Sharan Kaur- The Warrior Spy: Sharni was an 18 year old Hindu girl living in the North West frontier province. Kidnapped on her wedding by a group of fierce dacoits, Sharni was freed by the army of Hari Singh Nalwa, the great commander of the Sikh empire. Grateful to Nalwa for having been freed her from doom, Sharni took up Sikhism and became Sharangat Kaur, a Khalsa warrior and a shrewd spy. At a time when Nalwa was facing the ferocious Pathan tribes of the north east and their cruel leader, Dost Mohammad, Sharan braved to go where no Sikh man would go.

There was another bibi Sharan Kaur too, during Guru Gobind Singh Ji's period.. She was given the duty (by 10th Guru himself) to cremate dead bodies of Sikh soldiers/martyrs at midnight, while enemies were asleep...she left for battle ground without a second thought, performed her duty fearlessly (one young woman surrounded by so many dead bodies n enemy's army, at dead of night n cremated them all alone) & protected the honour of Singh Shaheeds, protected those dead bodies from getting mishandled.. she herself was set ablaze that very night, by enemy soldiers.. she too deserves to be remembered & revered for her bravery..

Great service by sharan Kaur. Such was the greatness of Sikh Empire.
Sikh empire was largely influenced by the Turks and the west. Maharaja Ranjeet Singh never followed any country rules. Thus he got rightfully penalized by the Nihangs. In his early era, he was a good ruler. Later on he made many mistakes like signing peace treaty with the British as soon as they arrived in North India. Later on the Jammu and Kashmir issue also arose from the same after the Sikhs lost as the British never kept their promise. The British sold J&K (newly formed state) to the ruler of Jammu. Jammu and Kashmir have little similarities in culture. They were bordering states and both were under the Sikh empire. Sikhs must have vigorously opposed partition. Millions of Sikh had to become muslim in the late 40s and early 50s after that.

What a wonderful presentation, i got so emotional while the nalwa ji was ill...n brtitish n afghan should not be invited to that marriage. Iam dead sure british also hd played some role in it as they were also searching the chance to capture khalsa empire as they had already captured all other parts many years ago.

That was the khalsa raaj of maharaja Ranjit singh..it was secular raj and many cntries tell it best raj. There r statues of ranjit singh in france.
In uk , students r taught about him even they lost badly battle of chillianwali to them..
That was pure khalsa raaj.
With zero crimes n all public happy n rich.
Those days Jatts were true to their Sikh faith and not their own jattwaad clan, this is the reason why it was a pure Khalsa raaj.
