The Solina was my first String Ensemble (1978), and a month later, I bought my first phaser pedal, a DOD, I think it was. I thought it needed that sparkle for my 16-year-old ears for live performances; it worked perfectly for Gary Newman's Cars. I wish I was doing Dream W, but that came later in life. I liked the patch demonstration for the phaser at 6:30, which brought back those memories.
Another great video OZ! Terrific that Behringer has put patchpoints on the Solina. Makes it a much more flexible as you have demonstrated so well. When you mentioned Gary Wright, a flood of memories came back to me. Dreamweaver was on the radio all the time back then. Thanks for all the info. Cheers
@@ozhalljr Hey OZ, I noticed you were using a 297 in your system 55. Have you seen the Fitzgreyve mod for the portamento? th-cam.com/video/SD57ZxrNT8o/w-d-xo.html.
Awesome sounds ♥♪ I love the sound of the Solina String. I don’t have the hardware version yet, so for now, I’m using a VST version, but I’d prefer the hardware instrument. Wishing you great sound crafting ♪♪
The Arp String Ensemble was actually just a Solina (Dutch brand) String Ensemble with an Arp sticker on it. JM Jarre didn't use a Solina String Ensemble but an Eminent 310.
@Tjoppy thanks for the comment. Great bit of trivia! I knew about Solina and the ARP sticker. I didn't know that JM Jarre used an Eminent 310 ( w/o the ARP sticker ).

I never owned one until now. I love the sound. Cars is on my list of covers to work on.

Thanks! The VST give you the sound, that's the most important element, right?

Superb video
@LFOVCF Thanks!

Gracias!
I'm sorry to say this: but this is not an ARP. Behringer is Behringer, not ARP.
Sorry, your point is well taken. I've updated the title to BARP 2600.
