Cas' line near the end was interesting. When Dean asked who gave him the right to kill Don, he said nobody; he just took it. That's the same line that Lucifer delivered in Hammer of the Gods (season 5)

Cas's development is fantastic because yes he's gone softer because of his bond with Sam and Dean (aka he isn't the robotic Castiel from s4 and 5) but also this family means everything to him, and he's not gonna let anything happen to them. He'll protect Sam, Dean and Jack whatever it takes, and Earth and that's beautiful to see. He is determined and has a proper goal which is what they need. And the brothers, Dean especially gets it. He appreciates it, respects it and understands that it has to be done.

Oh yess I love the reassurance for Mary and her deal. I absolutely loved that because I agree with you the guilt she felt for it was what made her do the stuff she did last season and it's like she's finally starting to make peace with what has happened to her and her sons which is huge and what she really needs. To realise that worry about the past doesn't help things on the present. And that you can't change it and finally start to move on from all that guilt

I completely forgot that Jack was 6 months old at this point; truly, an insanely powerful smol bean- adore him and that he is extremely true to himself and his emotions because the way Alex plays that, it is clear on Jack's face...and that means no one should hurt this literal child (in my eyes).
Now, I actually loved Cas's progression in this ep cause, yes, it is an echo of how he was in the earlier seasons but the reason for why his actions are personal- it is evidence of how he has changed who is family to him; who the people he loves are and because of that, the look of utter wrath when Donatello tried to hurt Dean...oooh, yeah- not a good idea for anyone mate. But, the fact that Dean understood his reasoning even if the reality of how Cas needed to handle the situation is not something he hoped for, is appreciated. Even Sam's because he does look unnerved in the last scene however that is in character and if precedents have shown anything, he would now try to find the best way to find ways to learn from this and that is good.
Also just- the scenes with the giants, that entire sequence is amazing because of Dean and Cas's interactions ( and with Dean refusing to let Cas go alone cause of worry for losing him again...) i'm sorry but, the annoying/sweet domestics of that were amazing and i did feel Cas's, "why is he like this, why him?"- love that.

Sometimes I feel like they put conflict among the 3 of them just for the sake of it. Sam and Dean have done a lot worse for a lot less multiple times. I distinctly remember there even being a line, someone asked Dean what gives you the right and he said "believe me, If we want it we'll take the right". And they've all been in this line of work long enough to know how to prioritize. Don't get me wrong, I love the intensity of the scene but it was just so out of character for Dean to say those things. Cas was absolutely right in doing what he did lmao. The writing for season 13 is full of such moments.

I disagree heavily there. What Castiel did was straight up wrong, he leaves Donatello in a mindless state and doesn't seem upset with what he did brushing it aside like nothing. Sam and Dean have done a lot of dumb shit over the years and honestly to me never grew that much as they keep regressing them back with the whole "lie, lie, lie, kill all monsters even ones we know are nice". Mind you he doesn't try to help Donatello after this, just leaving the guy like this until the plot demands next season to go back to him. Which makes me seem they were just willing to leave Donatello like this until it affects them. For me its character regression for Cas, as his days for doing things this brashly were in the past to where he didn't care for humanity, but now he's matured to where he could care for human lives, but doesn't hesitate to do this to Donatello. Would we have hesitated if this was Sam or Dean in this state?

First of all, u look extra beautiful in this video, i like this hair style a lot, second, Both Cas's son & mary are in more danger with every passing hour, plus donatello was a lost cause, the demon tablet f*cked him up, this was no state to spend the rest of his life in, he already hurt dean & was gonna do it again if cas didn't shut him up, as cas said: "i won't let u, or anyone else hurt the people i love, not again" 😭, he was a danger to himself & everyone else, you don't hurt dean & expect cas to be kind, if donatello was left to his own device, he could've hurt sam & dean again, he has so much power & unstable mind & he's willing to hurt people, michael can come to their world at any second, when michael is involved, cas reverts to soldier mode, just like he was in seasons 4 under michael's commands, but this time he's fighting him, he's the only one out of the three who witnessed michael's ruthlessness, it's not an easy decision but it's not the wrong one, as dean said to cas in the beginning of the episode "whatever it takes", i feel it's a little hypothetic for dean to be like: "what gives u the right?" Okay, dean, like u didn't have to make hard decisions in your life, great reaction dakara 👏😍

Actually it wasn't Asmodeus that f**cked up Donatello, it was because of the lack of his soul which caused the tablet to corrupt him. And also when Donatello tried to whisper the second spell I think it might have been something that would banish Cass away or at least expell him from the vessel, not exactly hurt Dean again.

So Castiel literally fries a man's mind, mind you a friend of theirs, and no sympathy for doing it to Donatello like that. Selfish behavior to where Castiel is willing to put another person's life at risk for others. Sam and Dean don't even scold him enough for what Castiel did, then again Dean is the guy who made Sam not close the Gates of Hell all because he couldn't lose Sam yet it would have saved many lives and end the threat of demons or Sam not caring of the consequences of removing the Mark of Cain letting the Darkness go who killed many people. I feel like the writers don't treat it like a big deal when one of their main characters puts a friend of theirs into a literal coma and they just brush past it. Not to mention it's just character regression which is what this show has been doing for the past seasons now, I thought Castiel had matured more, but it seems he didn't.

@@HasnaaAlaa That doesn't mean turn the dude's mind inside out and regard it as nothing. They didn't care to help him until they realized he was affecting others through his coma state. They never tried researching a way to fix him and mind you Cas fixed him easily the next time they got to him. I'm saying they could have tried a different way before rushing to this way. Not to mention, Alt Micheal wasn't even close to getting to the portal until Lucifer helped him in the end. Just because your loved ones are at stake, doesn't mean you can rashly injure an innocent one. Castiel doesn't even guilty for doing what he did. The last thing I would do if my son was in danger is a too mess up another human being instantly rather than come up with a different solution. It is a regression given the fact Castiel learned you don't always have to go for the dark option until you tried other options as he learned to value life, in this case he just does it out of a selfish need. I honestly don't care for Mary given how badly written of a character she is and she has no connection to Cas, Jack's connections to Cas at least makes sense. Cas knows his Micheal not the other one, and Alt Micheal needed Lucifer for the spell and lost him so the threat is only left in that world. For all the talk of Micheal is coming, he never had a plan to get there until the very end. There's nothing to rush about, except for the poor writing I felt this season demonstrated by bringing back Cas from the dead again and not letting character deaths feel impactful. Him rushing into soldier mode makes no sense given they just grab the speel ingredients at a slow pace for the rest of the season. There's no urgency here except to rescue Jack. Dean pulling a gun at a kid is inexcusable, just because he wants his boring mom back does not mean to screw other people out for their selfish needs. The main trio have done that plenty of times to others to the point I just find them hard to care about. They should have tried other methods with Donatello like putting him in Heaven in a jail cell to cure him or something else before jumping the gun like that before considering other options. "Whatever it takes" does not mean you can do whatever the hell you want and endanger innocents for a selfish desire, that doesn't make you justifiable or likable. It seems Cas was just willing to kill Donatello at first chance instead of trying to help him at the beginning.

@@chaitanyatanamala1464 they didn't know when michael will open the portal, he needs archangel grace, he IS an archangel, he could just use some of his own grace & open the portal at anytime, it doesn't require all of the grace, since we already saw michael taking only some of lucifer's grace not all.
Mary is cas's friend, they bonded in season 12 & she called him one of her boys & he already risked his life saving her from billie in season 12, she's also sam & dean's mom & that means a lot to cas.
It's easy to say if my son was in denger i would stop & think about other people coz i have morals but when you're actually in the situation you won't actually be able to think straight or even afford to waste time, every second counts, emotions can easily overwhelm you as a parent.
Almost all characters come back not just cas, cas didn't cheapen death, death was cheapen long ago, till season 5 sam & dean died more than a hundred times combined.
I get your point abt the show that started with 2 guys who will sacrifice themselves to save the world & became 2 guys who will sacrifice the world for each other & i hate that too coz it makes them less heroic & more selfish villains & i don't like this aspect either.
They should've followed up on how donatello is doing sooner i agree.
While u think mary is boring hence her sons & friends shouldn't care about her coz u don't care, i could argue the same about donatello coz i never cared abt him so why should the boys, obviously that's not how this works, she's their mom of course they will care, i didn't care abt john at all but i understand that the boys cared about him, if we're saying that every life counts then mary & jack's lives count too along with all the au people that are in danger & the billions of lives that will end if michael crossed the portal & tried to turn their world into AU apocalypse world, as cas said when michael arrives, it's gonna be full on war, they already saw what AU michael did to the apocalypse world, how is that different from the michael cas knew if not even worse? Donatello's brain won't matter if everyone including donatello dies, he can't afford wasting time trying to cure donatello from something that never happened before & there's no guarantee that there even is a cure for that, there's a rush & they gathered the ingredients in two episodes only & that's not slow considering how difficult those ingredients were, maybe the scooby doo episode made it seem like they weren't on a rush coz it starts with a normal hunt but i will gave that one a pass coz even in it cas grabs an ingredient, cas didn't fix donatello easily in season 14 coz it's simple, he was only able to do that coz donatello's brain took the time to heal & started healing on it's own & that was the point he was trying to make to dean in season 14, that donatello was able to be saved coz he kept fighting & didn't give up, that's why these other prophets started acting out coz donatello's brain was communicating to them, which signaled that he was still in there somewhere & wasn't completely brain dead, so technically cas didn't kill him or caused a brain death, his mind just needed time to heal on its own a bit. If my son & the world was in danger & in order to save him & the world, i have to preform this operation on a soulless dude to get info that may or may not damage him, i would take the risk too, so i personally get it, these boys are often put into a non ideal situation & there's no cost free & blood free solution, it's just the world they live in & if u r all caught up to the end of the show, we know who to blame for all of that.

@@HasnaaAlaa What I'm trying to say is either let Cas die in a good way or stop killing him. They cheapened death for every character and I hate it as it makes the death feel pointless if you keep reviving them over and over and over. It makes it less interesting in the end. Yeah, but Lucifer told Cas nearly everything of what happened over there and Alt Micheal likely wouldn't use his grace due to him being too prideful or *bad writing* given it would have him enter easily and the writers won't want the easy solution to build up suspense. If Donatello's brain could heal, why not put him to sleep and take him to a Heaven cell to have him rest so he can heal there. I mean Cas could try to go to heaven given how it's in the middle of a playground (the portal, that is). Given how many angels are left, they would be fine with him giving them a prophet at least to help out.
I am caught up to the end and finished the show and feel bad for how the finale felt soulless to the show. For me the show honestly ended at either S5 or 11. Most of what came after 11 was just hokey writing, with exceptions to Ketch, Mick, Jack and another character (Sunglasses Emo).
Glad we can agree there on how Sam and Dean have become worse versions of themselves. I still think Dean should have let Sam close the Gates of Hell as it would have completed Sam's arc of proving himself strong to make a sacrifice for the greater good. Mind you, most seasons past that choice Sam made to close the Gates of Hell would mean no more demons at all. Sam dies and Dean would have to fight Metatron and defeat him with Castiel and his remaining alive friends and probably die while killing him to save the world and reunites with Sam or he retires after beating Metatron and lives a normal life until meeting Sam again. But instead we had Dean become selfish and do something that still taints his character for me. Even Sam does this when he removes the Mark of Cain not caring what is set free in the end, which just kills more people. It makes them seem like toxic co-dependent selfish dudes. The show should have taught that while love is good, you should near become always co-dependent like this cause the brothers relationship just seems toxic to me in the end given they don't learn anything in the end (the writers should have had them grow at least, I mean a lot of growth). I mean in the earlier seasons (S1-S5), we saw them selfishly bringing each other back or trying to only screw up the world worse, until they realized they had to make a sacrifice play, nobody would be safe. The show felt it was fighting destiny and they did, proving they can change things. Until that message was brutally, brutally destroyed with that horrible twist. You know what I'm talking about near the end. It defeated the primary purpose of their journey and felt like a disservice to them.
Thanks for being patient with my critical viewpoint on the show, I can respect that you think differently of the show while I happen to have my own viewpoints. It feels like nowadays when people have different opinions, people just lash out at them for having different opinions.

@@chaitanyatanamala1464 cas could've left him in heaven or in a hospital for his mind to heal, it doesn't matter much where he leaves him, what matters is that he still needed to get the info abt the spell from his mind, i don't think lucifer told cas the ingredients for the spell, either coz he didn't know all the ingredients or he wanted to keep that as leverage so they don't go get jack without him, i am good with cas putting him in a hospital, doctors can take care of him.
I agree with the rest of what u said, i complain abt all of that a lot, they should've stopped killing sam, dean & cas long time ago, it doesn't mean anything anymore, the brothers ARE toxically co dependant & i grew to dislike their relationship, i love them as individual characters more than their relationship, not closing the gates of hell in seasons 8's finale is one of the things i hate so much, i also didn't like the ending & thought it didn't show any character growth for our boys unfortunately so yeah all of that.
