34.6% of Brock's incompletions are to Aiyuk. Aiyuk is just a step behind or dropping the ball on too many targets.

I know this is no excuse….However, I have a hunch that the contract negotiations really took a toll on Aiyuk psyche. Some of the fans were so so so mean during the summer negotiations involving Aiyuk and he had nothing else better to do than to read the horrible shit some fans would say about him. When your psyche is off kilter- everything else goes with it. His mental toughness isn’t as mature as Deebo or The Bear . So I do feel it is taking him a little more time to get right than what we as fans are used to. And losing the past 2 games makes it that much more frustrating, but not entirely his fault. I’m not giving him an excuse, I’m just making an observation. And yes, I do have hope. He, along with all our team as a whole will get back to the top. What would 49ers be w/o a lil controversy anyways?!? It’ll make our team that much more resilient and powerful!
Na man. Your focus is all wrong. The idiot that dropped 3 crucial passes(I can't ever remember his name) was terrible. TRENT WILLIAMS is the one that worked the niners. He was terrible with CRUCIAL penalties at the end of last year and he is slow and out of shape this year. BUT..... Our defensive coordinator is in college football mentality and it shows. "I" I believe he will improve his performance but you can't make up for lost production. I hope the team has learned something about the holdouts and hold-ins. They have a drop in production because they didn't put in the work. I watched him specifically on Sunday and he was working hard even when the ball wasn't coming to him. His timing is off and it is tough for Purdy to anticipate throws to him. Like I mentioned...he never raised his hand to signal he was running free. Had they worked together they would know what each other would intend to do. maybe week 5-6 he will improve to be a difference maker.
This is the problem after they hold out are hold in. They don't practice with the team their attitude is pay me are I don't care I'll care when I get paid. Then when the season starts and they get the money this is the out come. They are not NSYNC with the team out of shape like trent Williams and it's just excuse after excuse that if the team gave the player the money this would not have happened. The other excuse is it's just the first few games and there is a lot of football left. I don't want to hear about any excuse. They got the bag and now they need to put in that over time to catch up to the rest of the team. This is why franchises see and always look at how other players turn out once they get the bag. All those guys saying pay them where are they at now. I was one and I'm angry with Trent Williams performance and BA performance as well. Last year BA was catching everything this year start is not like that. Trent Williams is out of shape and having to get an ivy because he's so out of shape disappoints me. If I'm a owner I'm telling these two guys to step up there and would because I pay there checks and when they wanted the bag and got it they should of been ready to play and put in the over time to play and be up to par with the rest of the team.

I think Montana or Young would have thrown that ball to Aiyuk. It tells me that Purdy was told not to throw to him. Something is wrong here. The worst that would have happened was an incompletion. but highly unlikely. Maybe Aiyuk is not up to par but at that stage of the game why not throw it to him?

I think you’re full of crap! You always give your boy a free pass. There’s been a least 2 times this season where BA was wide open and Purdy didn’t try to get him the ball. Yes, BA has also dropped balls that he should have caught, but this overlooking BA started in the Super Bowl last year and has carried over to this season. Remember that? So, don’t try to put their combined failures only on BA.
Truefully, I blame Kyle and John. Every year they wait until preseason to get serious about negotiating a contract and every year the player starts the season playing like crap! They should know by now that when players miss training camp and preseason, they’re going to take 3 or 4 games to get on track. This year it was Williams, BA and CMC. Now, Purdy and BA are out-of-sync. Blame Kyle and John for that! Had they given BA the $28 Mil that he first asked for, Purdy and Ba would be better in sync and they would have saved $2Mil a year on his contract.
What about Purdy’s fumbles? You can’t only look at stats as if that’s end all, be all. He hurt the team bad last 2 weeks with those fumbles. We might be 3 - 0 had he not fumbled, how many times, 3?
