Hello queen how are you? Im an Alma BB expert lol! I have 3 and love that bag! They do have the vintage in a nude color or a toupee and it has gold hardware but all the other ones I’ve seen have silver hardware I never got to see a caramel colored one back in the day but I did own a clutch bag and caramel with gold lock on the front and it was epi leather, a vintage piece. so I bet you are right! I wonder why they’re not having any gold hardware with the Epi pieces? anyways what do you think of that bag in person? I don’t have an LV store near me I am in Ohio United States and I am contemplating getting one of the new epi- leather pieces with the special strap and I’ve narrowed it down to a couple and Carmel was one of the choices I was considering I have seen the bright neon yellow and also a sky blue color and I think there might be black and a hot pink I wanna add a pop of color to my wardrobe because I don’t carry colorful bags everything is usually monogram I do own some Dior bags in oblique jacquard fabric but they are monogram just navy Let me know what your opinion is about the caramel colored epi- leather Alma bb ty! hey Romina, I think if you still doubtful about getting the Chanel 22, you can ask yourself few questions (at least this is what I always do whenever I'm 50:50 about a bag), 1) are you used to wearing bags in that size/style? This is important bcs if you're not familiar with hobo bags, you likely will get tired of it eventually (as opposed to someone who knew their everyday bag is always that big slouchy style) I know some people who would always 'try the size out' first by buying a similar, cheaper bag in the same dimensions to test out whether the size/ style is something they will like for daily use. Another thing to consider is whether you just like the color, but not so much the style, you can always get other Chanel piece in that exact color instead. Second question would be if you took out the logo, will you still love the bag as much? I do this even with my monogram bags, just to figure out whether I'd still love the color combo/style or whether I'm drawn to it just because it screams the brand. Lastly, if you feel you need to resell the bag at some point, will you be okay with the loss? In my case, almost all the bags I truly love and can't live without, don't have high resale value (bcs of the seasonal color) and I'm totally okay with that cuz I know I buy those bags mainly for my personal use. Sorry for the lengthy response but I hope this is helpful! And hopefully you'll get your dream Chanel from this collection xx
I recently gave away to a friend a large-ish beautiful forest green hobo bag because everything got lost in it. I tried a bag organizer, but it was a bad match. I told my friend my issue with it, but she still wanted it. It really was a beautiful bag. My only slouchy bag at this point is a burgundy vintage Coach bucket bag. I have had it since the 1990s, I think, and while it is still impractical for me, I will never get rid of it as it is the only “old Coach” left in my collection. I am talking 1985-1995 era bags that are nothing like the Coach of today. Not trendy, but beautiful leather, beautifully dyed and crafted. I gave the others to family and friends when we moved and downsized for urban living many years ago. I miss them, but I know they found happy homes, which is what I wanted. I hope this does not come off as rude, but this Chanel in white looks like a laundry bag; in black it resembles a trash bag. I do not see the hype, other than that it is 180 degrees from other Chanel bags, those that are all about the structure. The big issue remains … how is a bag like that practical?
For me it's definitely not a classic, however hard Chanel pushes it ahaha, but if you love it you love it! The shape is classic enough where I don't think it'll date, and seems fairly functional, but I don't think it'll have the same staying power in fashion you know.
I got the small black 22 with ghw this weekend!! I absolutely love it! I had 3 gst’s back in the day as my everyday chanel totes. They were so boxy and the straps always slid off my shoulders. I have found my new perfect, everyday, cool, effortlessly chic chanel tote bag! You and Dacob inspired me and I’m thrilled with it! 😍

Hi Romina! I say your video is getting better and better! I love the subtle music when you're just browsing. Anyway I saw them available in Chanel ,Chicago boutique in purple and coral pink. The US Chanel website showing different colors including a navy blue (although I have not seen it in rl) As for the larger size they have it in gold emblem (writing) aside from black and white. Not sure if I'm a big fan of it. I find it unwieldy -maybe its just me. But given an option I'll go for small. You can put a lot of stuff to it without looking like you're carrying a fancy garbage bag (esp in black) I'll probably have to look at it everyday to convince myself it's for keeps. 😅

@@RominaRoseMay Sometimes you buy something and it causes a style shift. This may be the cause of the butterflies. Yes, it's also a youth bag, with an appeal to the less stuffy, of throwing caution to the wind. Allied with that as you say it's casual and it's not for the faint hearted. All classics started out sometime as new, so don't rule it out as possibly lasting. The simplicity is the drawcard with this bag and always has been with Chanel. I don't recall them coming out with anything like it, unless it's a tote. It parallels the new unstructured styles, boxy, with unexpected twists. This is a play in that it's a boxy shape but unstructured. Because of your height and slim figure you carry it off unapologetically. You intuitively sense it's for you. This may also be also be a cause of the butterflies. If it speaks to you, you should definitely get it. Think over the positives and negatives (including that your stuff can get 'lost' in it), write them in a column and give them a weighting. Then toss it away because you're overthinking, and just do what feels right. PS I don't work for Chanel. haha!

@@RominaRoseMay Sorry to see the rough time you had in a Chanel shop ....but at the end of the day it's just a bit of drama really, and as the comedians say, it's all good material to draw on for laughs and views ...once you're over the shock. It reminds me of the colossal Hermes faux-pas when Oprah Winfrey was refused access to the shop to even see the bags! Not sure what those SAs are more deficient in: General knowledge, IQ or EQ probably all three...lol! But a good bag is a good bag. The design simplicity is a forte I think. You are bang on about avoiding the plastic logo, it won't wear well. The paler pink has become a millennial neutral. The new beige with 💗. The lilac is newer, but it doesn't have the same neutrality cachet as that particular pink. I don't know what your wardrobe is like but Pink Does Not Stink! Yes... the dimensions and utility of the medium is the go! IMO.

If you get the medium size you will not regret. If you get the small, you'll wish you had gotten the medium because you first fell in love with the medium. Pink!!! Or black!!!!! 1:51 love the silk dress, looks lovely on you…that’s exactly my style ♥️😊 As for the Chanel 22 bag, it seems more like a weekend bag than an everyday bag, and definitely more of a casual bag that sort of reminds me of a laundry hamper bag from university where you stuff all your dirty clothes in last minute 😊 however you don’t have a bag like that in your collection, especially in dusty pink so it might be a nice change from the usual classic snakeskin bvlgari ones. I’d say if you still want it after 3 months you should get it but I find that I lose interest in most bags after a couple of months….
Hi dear Romina! I think when it comes to Chanel bags when there’s one you feel yourself longing for and you can’t get it out of your mind that’s a sign of really loving a bag! That’s how I was with my tweed 19 bag - didn’t even realize it was a newer release at the time - and a couple years later I’m still madly in love with it ❤️ I agree with you I didn’t like the 22 at all to begin with but in the small and medium sizes it’s definitely much cuter, and the baby pink color is for sure the best one! If you have an SA or can put your name down on a waitlist go for it. It’s a casual bag but I think it is a great everyday one like you said and I think as long as you love it it’s a good buy. The Instagram it girls or whatever will move on to the next bag release because that’s what they do, but I think totes are timeless - and this is just a super chic leather version of a casual canvas tote!

There’s a reason diaper bags are popular. They hold a bomb. I’m not a Chanel fan as I don’t like the whole quilting thing. But if you will use it constantly as a travel & shopping bag to bang around & not be upset when it gets beat up because it’s hauling loads of things, then get it & wear it out. I’d lean lilac just because you won’t see it everywhere & it’ll be a softer shape than the Dior book bag.

Your blaxer dress is so chick on you. I liked all the pieces you got from Lilly Silk. I am not sure if I like the new Channel tote you like so much. I do have to say that I liked size small better than medium. The Dior mule you picked up would look great as your wedding shoe.

It’s strange…I love this bag, too. But only in the small size - and not in black (Man from Glad). Pink is the nicest. The medium and large sizes do look utilitarian, as if they are going to hold unimportant things. But the small size with its exquisite leather, stitching and straps looks like an elegant woman’s bag designed with bold whimsy. I don’t know if this design will stand the test of time, but I think you would use it only once in a while, when you felt very lighthearted and playful. The price, tho.
I thought you ladies Europe n US, UK have a 30 days returns policy after getting the bag? Unlike us in Asia, once you get it, it's yours.. No returns unless defective etc.. Oh well, if it's meant 2b yours, you find it somewhere, maybe in your next video. 😅
Well, if it helps any, S.A. told me that the Chanel 22 will be part of the permanent collection. Which means that this will be the lowest price and will just keep going up. That's really FOMO, right? I tried on the small black 22 and I must say that it looks much better in person compared to online. Was very tempted, still am.

hey Romina, I think if you still doubtful about getting the Chanel 22, you can ask yourself few questions (at least this is what I always do whenever I'm 50:50 about a bag), 1) are you used to wearing bags in that size/style? This is important bcs if you're not familiar with hobo bags, you likely will get tired of it eventually (as opposed to someone who knew their everyday bag is always that big slouchy style) I know some people who would always 'try the size out' first by buying a similar, cheaper bag in the same dimensions to test out whether the size/ style is something they will like for daily use. Another thing to consider is whether you just like the color, but not so much the style, you can always get other Chanel piece in that exact color instead.
Second question would be if you took out the logo, will you still love the bag as much? I do this even with my monogram bags, just to figure out whether I'd still love the color combo/style or whether I'm drawn to it just because it screams the brand.
Lastly, if you feel you need to resell the bag at some point, will you be okay with the loss? In my case, almost all the bags I truly love and can't live without, don't have high resale value (bcs of the seasonal color) and I'm totally okay with that cuz I know I buy those bags mainly for my personal use.

I recently gave away to a friend a large-ish beautiful forest green hobo bag because everything got lost in it. I tried a bag organizer, but it was a bad match. I told my friend my issue with it, but she still wanted it. It really was a beautiful bag. My only slouchy bag at this point is a burgundy vintage Coach bucket bag. I have had it since the 1990s, I think, and while it is still impractical for me, I will never get rid of it as it is the only “old Coach” left in my collection. I am talking 1985-1995 era bags that are nothing like the Coach of today. Not trendy, but beautiful leather, beautifully dyed and crafted. I gave the others to family and friends when we moved and downsized for urban living many years ago. I miss them, but I know they found happy homes, which is what I wanted. I hope this does not come off as rude, but this Chanel in white looks like a laundry bag; in black it resembles a trash bag. I do not see the hype, other than that it is 180 degrees from other Chanel bags, those that are all about the structure. The big issue remains … how is a bag like that practical?

For me it's definitely not a classic, however hard Chanel pushes it ahaha, but if you love it you love it! The shape is classic enough where I don't think it'll date, and seems fairly functional, but I don't think it'll have the same staying power in fashion you know.

I got the small black 22 with ghw this weekend!! I absolutely love it! I had 3 gst’s back in the day as my everyday chanel totes. They were so boxy and the straps always slid off my shoulders. Hi Romina! I say your video is getting better and better! I love the subtle music when you're just browsing. Anyway I saw them available in Chanel ,Chicago boutique in purple and coral pink. The US Chanel website showing different colors including a navy blue (although I have not seen it in rl) As for the larger size they have it in gold emblem (writing) aside from black and white. Not sure if I'm a big fan of it. I find it unwieldy -maybe its just me. But given an option I'll go for small. You can put a lot of stuff to it without looking like you're carrying a fancy garbage bag (esp in black) I'll probably have to look at it everyday to convince myself it's for keeps. 😅

Yes, it's also a youth bag, with an appeal to the less stuffy, of throwing caution to the wind.
Allied with that as you say it's casual and it's not for the faint hearted.
All classics started out sometime as new, so don't rule it out as possibly lasting. The simplicity is the drawcard with this bag and always has been with Chanel. I don't recall them coming out with anything like it, unless it's a tote.
It parallels the new unstructured styles, boxy, with unexpected twists. This is a play in that it's a boxy shape but unstructured.
Because of your height and slim figure you carry it off unapologetically. You intuitively sense it's for you. This may also be also be a cause of the butterflies.
If it speaks to you, you should definitely get it. Think over the positives and negatives (including that your stuff can get 'lost' in it), write them in a column and give them a weighting. Then toss it away because you're overthinking, and just do what feels right.

1:51 love the silk dress, looks lovely on you…that’s exactly my style ♥️😊 As for the Chanel 22 bag, it seems more like a weekend bag than an everyday bag, and definitely more of a casual bag that sort of reminds me of a laundry hamper bag from university where you stuff all your dirty clothes in last minute 😊 however you don’t have a bag like that in your collection, especially in dusty pink so it might be a nice change from the usual classic snakeskin bvlgari ones. I’d say if you still want it after 3 months you should get it but I find that I lose interest in most bags after a couple of months….

Hi dear Romina! I think when it comes to Chanel bags when there’s one you feel yourself longing for and you can’t get it out of your mind that’s a sign of really loving a bag! That’s how I was with my tweed 19 bag - didn’t even realize it was a newer release at the time - and a couple years later I’m still madly in love with it ❤️
I agree with you I didn’t like the 22 at all to begin with but in the small and medium sizes it’s definitely much cuter, and the baby pink color is for sure the best one! If you have an SA or can put your name down on a waitlist go for it. It’s a casual bag but I think it is a great everyday one like you said and I think as long as you love it it’s a good buy. The Instagram it girls or whatever will move on to the next bag release because that’s what they do, but I think totes are timeless - and this is just a super chic leather version of a casual canvas tote!

There’s a reason diaper bags are popular. They hold a bomb. I’m not a Chanel fan as I don’t like the whole quilting thing. But if you will use it constantly as a travel & shopping bag to bang around & not be upset when it gets beat up because it’s hauling loads of things, then get it & wear it out. I’d lean lilac just because you won’t see it everywhere & it’ll be a softer shape than the Dior book bag.

I love the pink in the Medium size. I feel like the medium size is perfect - the small is a bit too small to get the oversized effect and the large is a bit too much. Hope you can track one down ☺️

It’s strange…I love this bag, too. But only in the small size - and not in black (Man from Glad). Pink is the nicest. The medium and large sizes do look utilitarian, as if they are going to hold unimportant things. But the small size with its exquisite leather, stitching and straps looks like an elegant woman’s bag designed with bold whimsy. I don’t know if this design will stand the test of time, but I think you would use it only once in a while, when you felt very lighthearted and playful. The price, tho.
If you see something that you like at Chanel, we have to buy. There is no second chance. They are brutal. I have learned my lessin. 😉

I thought you ladies Europe n US, UK have a 30 days returns policy after getting the bag? Unlike us in Asia, once you get it, it's yours.. No returns unless defective etc.. Oh well, if it's meant 2b yours, you find it somewhere, maybe in your next video. 😅

Well, if it helps any, S.A. told me that the Chanel 22 will be part of the permanent collection. Which means that this will be the lowest price and will just keep going up. That's really FOMO, right? I tried on the small black 22 and I must say that it looks much better in person compared to online. Was very tempted, still am.
