An important feature of Islam is that difference is both seen as accomplishing a wider variety of things and in opportunity to be equal.
Seeing the opportunity of one as better for others is also an important feature.

    Salamun Alaikum
I would like to know why the matter of testimony of female requires double than Male ? What is the reason behind this ? Kindly explain in detail so we can understand better. Jazakallah

Slight correction - the story of the birth of Lady Maryam is in Surah Aali Imran, v35 onwards, not in Surah Maryam.
    Jazakallah for your efforts

Jazakum Allahu Khairan Shaikh. Allahumma Salli Ala Muhammad Wa Ale Muhammad. If angels were sent, they will also come as men. Personal guidance to specific females by God is not the same as the mission of Prophets to mankind. Allah swt knows best what He does in His infinite wisdom.

Yes brother women are not fit to be a prophet or a leader over men end of story. I don't agree with sayed where he said that women were not prophets because of the social view of women at the time. But Allah knows best

    • @Thaqlain

Br. Ali. How is it that women are "fit" to give birth to Prophets and Imams, fit to be their introduction (hadis e kisa) but not fit for managing their role?
This is the misunderstanding that we wish to break. It is not about being fit or unfit, it is more about having different roles even though having the capability to do another role. We need to understand the system of Allah and how he has placed things for their right roles :)

@@Thaqlain yes I understand that the man can undertake the role of the woman like taking care of children or taking care of the house and vice versa, but there certain things men are able to do better like being a leader over other men. Just like how women are better with kids. And I’m sure in Islam we believe in patriarchy. Maybe I’m just misunderstanding but I think Allah made it a point as to why all prophets were men

“Then the Prophet Miriam, Aaron’s sister, took a tambourine in her hand; and all the women went out after her with tambourines and with dancing. And Miriam sang to them: ‘Sing to the LORD, for he has triumphed gloriously; horse and rider he has thrown into the sea’” (Exodus 15:20-21).

I always interpreted that the male is not like the female as that females are different from males and special in their own right.

Mother of Jesus and Moses both had received revelation but the mission of prophecy is a great burden which is allocated to men. They should be in public all the time and talk to people this isn't suitable for women.

Just to let you know that being a woman itself is a huge task already where woman has to face bleeding every month plus the pain of motherhood etc. Allah The All Wise knows that its a great injustice to burden woman with the task of prophethood.
Besides women are more vulnerable to abuse especially sexual abuse and this is a great danger to their chastity and dignity and therefore men are more suitable to appear in public than women. (we can see clearly how women are being harassed on social media despite wearing hijab in a perfect manner)
The task of motherhood are not less than prophethood. We can appreciate this point better when we look at Lady Fatimah Zahra sa, how she managed to nurture and educate her children to be Imams and strong supporters and protectors of Imams like Lady Zainab sa supporting Imam Husayn as and Imam Ali Zainal Abidin.
Mothers nurture true human being who in turn will guide the whole humanity . Thats why Imam Khomeini said that if Lady Fatimah is a man, surely she will become a Prophet.
In conclusion, the fact that Allah never appoint prophet among females doesnt mean that female is less than male. In Islam, men and women are equal in terms of their spiritual, moral, intellectual and human potential. And no one is better than the other except piety.
"O mankind! Indeed, We created you from a male and a female, and made you nations and tribes that you may identify yourselves with one another. Indeed the noblest of you in the sight of Allah is the most Godwary among you. Indeed Allah is all-knowing, all-aware." (Surah al-Hujurat : 13)

There is a clear difference between men and women when it comes to physical and mental capabilities you can't deny that. I do agree that men and women are spiritually equal, but there are reasons that men are meant to rule. I don't think his explanation really makes any sense. I have never heard any scholar explain these verses like this. I don't know it seems kind of weird but Allah knows best

These will allow you to understand how we have limited the scope of genders while the Quran and Allah look at things very differently.
