I’d be interested to see the follow up to these hair colours, like how hard is it to retouch/change such an elaborate hair colour? 🤔
Unbelievably ZERO FUN, that's for sure!!
it's often very hard! if the dye fades out completely not so much. but if you want to change colours shortly afterward you need to do a lot of colour correction or use darker shades to cover it, which will create another colour correction problem and often cause staining afterward if you once again don't let it fade out completely (which at that point would take even longer due to product buildup)
Vivids can fade to a beautiful pastel, but yeah some colors stick & they are hard to get out.
I was thinking about it too. But I guess that because it´s grey, it will only fade into a lighter grey. And the colors are already pretty faded... I think it will look nice over time actually

This is one of the most unbelievable rainbow colour applications I've ever seen. The result TRULY looks holographic, this flat, 2-D hair is playing some serious dimensional tricks on me....this is like reflective and alive and translucent and **chefs kiss** ....this is SO special Guy😍🤯😵

For anyone's who curious, Caitlin Ford made a video 11 months ago basically making this form of holo hair.
Yeah back in the 90s when we were all playing with colors, there was a lot of kids that did holographic, Rainbow, oil slick, etc. And now they're bringing it all back! Yesssss! Bring back the 90s! Was a great time to be alive and expressive! The coolest dye job( I thought anyways,) back in the day, and a look that I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see Guy Tang the master of color, or your friend even, that did the rainbow as well, was a leopard pattern on one side and zebra on another! It was so cool. The leopard spots were lime green / purple and the zebra I believe was pink and blue... may have been teal... it was a long time ago! I'll never forget my mom saying, "Oh my God! Lol at that girl's hair! " Yeah Mom, that's my friend isn't it cool? I wanted to do it so bad! She used like a cut piece of melon with dye on it, and like stamped the spots on! I hope they bring that one back as well. There's just something about rainbow hair that makes me so happy! Also, what great friends to support the other artist, and give some love to her for one of nature's most amazing pieces of art, redone on a person's hair! I'm sure she really appreciates the loyalty!

I think Rosé's (from BLACKPINK) hair stylist utilized the similar concept for her hair, too! Her hair has light pastel lavender holo effect all over, if you look closer you can see it but not too many people mentioned it since it doesn't look very obvious from the screen. I was like how someone's hair can looks this amazing with the seamless holo effect. Guy Tang has finally revealed the mystery and did an even better job of illustrating this magical technique. This is the power of hair color specialist. Guy Tang you are the best hair artist!!!!

The entire execution of this was incredibly on point! I was so impressed with the beautiful clean blonde canvas to paint on, tho probably helps alot that she was a level 9 but I just absolutely LOVE how perfect it was, like OBSESSED 😍😍😍!!! And the placement of the prism colors is EVERYTHING, pulling it forward so that it falls invertedly at the back, i love it! A gorgeous and beautiful piece of art, magic!!!!! ☄☇🌟☇☄

I have been watching GT and others for years but it is a bit discouraging to see him use a technique another TH-camr that is also a hair stylist / colorist created though with way less following (Caitlin Ford as some have mentioned already) and she is not even getting a small shoutout. Brad Mondo did some videos with her techniques after she challenged him and he always mentioned her. Guy Tang had a chance to give a hand someone. He has mentioned several times how hard it is to make friends specially in TH-cam. Well. Maybe start by crediting people’s work.

Tbh the mix of the smokey silver purple and the rainbow fits the mix of genres her music is, the calmer solid color for the indie and the pastel rainbow for the EDM

Wow, so much to love there. First, that blonde shade was really beautiful. Then the pastels by themselves are such pretty colors. The sky blue is the best I've seen. The lavender, all the shades. And of course, the finished rainbow result was amazing.

I have a detachable shower head. I lean over and wash my hair in cold water then put it in a shower cap and step in to do the rest of my shower cuz I like my water at 900 degrees and thats bad for color maintenance lmao

This is just the perfect rainbow hair! The charcoal is fantastic, definitely not as dark as you think! The ombre is such a perfect colour to have, just makes those rainbow sections pop!! I want my hair like this now haha!
