Elders waking up in the middle of the night is interesting. If you have alzeimers and dementia that wake you up in the night too. I used to work with them and some of them were up all night
You can also just delete the hourglass after you set the duration and it'll still prompt you to save. Just in case you don't want to keep it on the lot. But I didn't know it applied it to all houses in the hood, I always just buy each new house their own one and set it and then delete it.
I think you are meant to throw the birthday party immediately when you get the notice that it's one day left. Personally I have contemplated setting it at 3 o'clock so there's more time left. You can set it to whatever time you want with Simlogical aging mod. But in the end, I just kept it at 6 o'clock because it's how it's always been and it is one of the challenges with the game
I really hope The Sims 5 is all games combined. Sims 2 -> Gameplay Sims 3 -> Lore and world Sims 4 -> Inclusivity and innovations Why can't they make the one game where they nail them all 😭😭
Simple, money. If they give you everything in the base game you won't be inclined to buy EPs. And also, why even bother doing a decent game when you've got the modding community, right? I feel like Sims 5 is going to be the worst one yet since you'll be able to play on the go. Another excuse if they don't implement something. It's really sad seeing the game decline like this over time :(
I just got a new PC after only having a buggy laptop that worked better as a paperweight for the last 10yrs. The main things I was excited about was breaking out my Sims 2 games! I still have most of the disks, I was missing Open for Business which was one of my favs so I did find a way to download that. I'm missing the last few Stuff Packs but I don't care about those as much, I might try to get them later on. But my god was it difficult getting them to install and run! It took me about of week to finally get everything playable yesterday! Only big concern I have before adding mods is my Sims have the stupid black square under their feet, which is more annoying when I'm playing on the 1st floor and a Sim is upstairs, the black square from the upstairs Sim start blocking my view lol I'm scared to start modding since it was so difficult just to get it running, but my game feels so lackluster compared to how modded out I would get in the OG days. Looking forward to checking out all of your recommendations!

I'm Filipino, and here we use the 12-hour format, but I prefer using the 24-hour because during college, I have to get up early, around 4 a.m., and to make sure that my alarm would ring at 4 am and I use the 24hour format. I was afraid I would set it to pm and not am.
I remember when i was a kid and my older sister owned The Sims 2 and I had just created a family and she built me a really cool house and the the game randomly crashed and nothing was saved 😭.
That moving money, either by creating a new one when moving away or when moving together, really needs a little push from the mods, as sometimes these just feel unrealistic or in a way a money cheat (especially when moving away and in) which is so stupid so I really like that last mod 😄!
I haven’t gotten around to reinstalling TS2, but I am curious will any of these react differently to individual packs vs. the ultimate collection? I have all the packs, but I do have to install them separately. One of my favorite “quality of life” mods is one that makes it snow more. I love snow and when I saw that mod I had to have it. Also tons of stuff from CyJon, but probably the most important to me is the one that gives better messages when a sim isn’t home. Instead of the normal thing (forget what it is since it’s been so long since I didn’t have it in my game, someone from their household tells you the sim is at work or school and when they will be home. Absolutely cannot do without it.

Hi, i know this is a year old but i finally got the sims 2. First time playing it (I'm a sims 3 exclusive player) and I was advised to get the clean template versions of the neighborhoods. Is that a good idea?
I want a mod to give Sims higher bills. I found one from pleasant Sims but it doesn't work. I have ultimate collection so the only Sims with high bills are the ones in apartments. I don't like all my Sims having a lot of money. It accumulates too quickly since the bills are only about 80 bucks

Ultimate Collection is the same game as fully installed and patched retail disks. Everything that works with UC should also work with disks.
