It´s really impressing how much of a well working voice is remarkable and available at this age. And he was and is a great musician. I have an endless respect for Plácido Domingo.

He ends his career as he started: as a baritone. Remarkable that the voice has lasted. It must be something peculiarly Hispanic. Great memories though of him as a tenor in the 80s and 90s at Covent Garden. Thanks for sharing.
Aren't we fortunate to hear again and again...I was fortunate too, to stand in the wings at Lyric Opera Chicago watching him in Tosca. I would have never known his long career to 80's and remain in a rich voice to his baritone years. Such a tremendous pleasure to receive a view of his concert at Colon. Thank you. Brava, Placido! ♥️🌹

(Domingo is not that, even though I like him) The comment was about my preferences - I didn’t claim anything. And for me it’s not _only_ about the voice. It’s about the feeling too. The big names you mentioned - yes, I’ve heard all of them and the only one I like is Corelli. 🤷🏻♀️

We deal with supermen over the human limits and l trully hope, this is only the big return of a great long nice adventure of life to share from now on, big loving hug awesome performers forever
They just don't know how to make a proper recording of Domingo's voice, my amateur recording is much closer to the reality, here his voice sounds dark and without squillo, but in live he has a beautiful brilliant voice, im going to upload my recording right now, greetings!
Your recording does sound richer, more baritonal. Thanks for sharing! When he was a tenor, the videos of his live performances often fell short, seemingly unable to capture the amazing in-house sound… that ringing, almost visceral quality that just knocked your socks off was often subdued in the recording. ( I’m thinking specifically of the Andrea Chenier, “un di all’azzuro spazio” from his met recital with milnes vs the recording). Glad they taped performances for posterity, but being there in person is usually best (acoustically and emotionally). Admittedly, TV does better on the closeups :))
