The duke isn't for everyone. I love mine, but I ride almost nothing but twisty back roads. It's the perfect bike for me and where I like to ride. But If you mostly ride long straight roads, then this probably wouldn't be the best choice.. Also If you keep it in the higher rev range, the 2016 is very smooth. If not it lugs pretty bad. It needs to be in the right gear at all times to be smooth, but that really becomes second nature after owning it for a while and isn't a problem for me.
I totally agree that the Duke is a dream in the twisties.. Unfortunately we lack those over here. But if I could afford two bikes, then Duke would definitely be my city-machine. It never fails to put a biiiig grin on your face and that's a perfect morning commute that starts with a smile.. :)

I've never tried any of the DUKEs.. It seems to be a fun bike though =))
It's tons of fun as long as you don't try to go long distances and go fast.. It probably could do it, but it would be very uncomfortable..

Took out the 2015 model last spring. I had heard so many good things about the duke but after i rode it and got stranded without fuel in the middle off no where I was disappointed, the bike didn't have any power and pretty bad suspension. It might have been because it had 0 km riden on it.
+ants I can't imagine breaking in a motorcycle would change the machine completely so I'd figure it has more to do what you like and are used to..
But in all honesty - I had the bike for about 15 minutes and wanted to make a video and review and testride and squeeze all that into those 15 minutes so I don't think I got a very good picture of what the bike is all about... All I know, is that those 15 minutes were quite fun :D

I have to try this one again, because last year I didn't like Duke at all. And we run out of fuel :D

The main surprising thing I didn't notice was the vibration.. maybe I was enjoying the ride too much to notice or they have done a major over-haul..
ElectroMoto They said that they did make the bike feel like it has 2 cylinders. Too bad they are not putting the same engine on Enduro
