Wow very innovative. I have been referring to this channel at least 10 times over the recent history. What I like about all these charts is the ability to present multiple pieces of related information in a single visualization. Hi Grainne, we do have Elevate Excel course which is a comprehensive (beginner-to-advanced) online training program that covers everything you need to drastically improve your Excel skills, save tons of time with your job, and become the Excel Hero of the office. You may join us by following this link www.excelcampus.com/join-elevate/

I should have mentioned that our Elevate program does not cover all of these charts yet. However, I think it's a great idea and will add this to the list for future program updates. We do have a section in the program on charts, dashboards, and data visualization principles that covers more of the basic chart types and when to use them.

0:22 mine is a simple one...
There's a class full of students
    There are 4 subjects M, P, C, Z
Every 2 or three days there's a test on the above subjects. (dates are available)
We need to capture how each student progress in each subject.
Additionally we need to capture how each student perform in comparison to other.
Students & subjects are constant. But number of tests are dynamic, meaning we need to add more test results as time progresses.
Max mark in each sub is 180, so max total marks is 720.
First I am confused 😕 how to put this data in the excel sheet, then type of chart 📊 to use to capture this data 😢...
Any help would be appreciated 😊

My chart are too far apart because I have so much empty space between the border and the doughnut. But when I resize the height and the width of the border to reduce the empty space , the doughnut gets smaller too.

Jon, I love this - thank you so much. 2 questions: 1) You mention the Bonus Zoom macro, but did I miss the link to the actual macro? 2) On Chart 3, the Slicer buttons are in the correct order (0-99, 100-199, etc.), but the bars are not sorted correctly (they are 100-199, then 0-99, etc.). Other than that, great video, with lots of useful info!

Amazing video Jon (as usually). I am sure that many people don't know which chart is for what (I am also mostly doubting), and this tutorial is great for keep the things straight.
Is there any possibility that you make some good technical assessment of data and using some of charts? Like 90% of everyone's videos (of another MVPs) related to Excel are in the Finance, Economy, Geography or similar... and I never saw that somebody did something in technical/natural sciences (like pressure/temperature differences, or some testings and measurements) If you ask me, there is also enough critical mass for those kinds of videos too =)
Thanks, and keep on with good videos!

Thank you Mirrr! I'd be happy to create tutorials on other topics like that. I do love studying the weather (and data). I don't have a background in the science, but always learn to love new things. Let us know if there are specific topics or data types you'd like to learn charts for in that area. Thanks again and have a nice day! 🙂

      @mirrrvelll5164 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@ExcelCampus Thanks for your respond.
Well there are lots of things what is possible to do, for instance: using some external files (.csv) that are having let's say these columns DATE/TIME (formatted in non-US region), REGION/LAND, TEMPERATURE 1, TEMPERATURE 2, PRESSURE 1, PRESSURE 2, DIFFERENCE of T1/2, DIFFERENCE of P1/P2. From there for example you got already more things, using Power Query or else for transforming .csv into proper values (especially date/time and temperature values, because of "," and "." separators), calculating differences (pivot maybe), showing it on Chart (normal or Pivot charts), using Power Query for dynamically change countries...or also some conversion from units, for instance temperature: you got Kelvins, Celsius...or by pressure: Bars and Pascals or PSI...so everything where you can maybe change as a drop down depending on your region or similar.
There are lots of stuff what can be done, this was like "between the lines" that fall on my mind. But I am sure you will have your public with this!!! Thanks in advance!
