The Ascended fought the Void, they won but get corrupted by the Void and turned on each other, This conflict is known as the Darkin War. So the creation of the Ascended backfired. The reason the Ascended were created was to defend all life but once they were currupted by the Voide and turned into Darkin they were to much of a thread and out of controll, serving no longer the Aspects purpose but the Void.
Oh thats really interesting, thanks for clarifying! What I still dont get is: why did the aspect of twilight trap aatrox in the sword? Was she not powerful enough to straight up kill/destroy him? Was she too merciful and instead of killing him, just wanted to trap him? Like a prison? Or is there something more sinister going on, with the aspect expecting something like this to happen? So much stuff to find out! Cant wait! 😁
@@AzphelReacts The specific reason is not mentioned, but its generaly assumed because they were to powerfull. The ascended were created by the Sundisc. Only the Strongest and most noble Warriors where chosen. Im not 100% how they were created but if i remember correct: Aurelion Sols power (who is enlsaved by the Aspects) is channled through the Sundisc into the mortal body creating a Godwarrior (sometimes the ritual fails and the result is no godwarrior but a Baccai like Xerath who was not chosen and not compatible for ascension). So The godwarriors were Mortals boosted with Aurelion Sols cosmic Power, Veterans of an all out war with the Void and during the Darkin War they were just getting even stronger, as already having a demonic appearance-the result of using blood magic, fueled with each mortal and Darkin life they took, to reshape their own bodies and armor and meld them as one. At this Point the Aspects intervene by teaching the mortals how to trap them into their weapons. Maybe the Aspects feared to fight the Darkin directly, maybe there is another reason but as far as i can see the Darkins where not Immortal since they killed each other. They became kind of immortal when they were trapped and bound to their weapon. Maybe there is a bigger plan to use the Darkin in the future for what they were once created. One way for example are mortals so strong in will, so they can wield a Darkin Weapon without getting overtaken by the Darkin. Kayn could become the first achieving this. But thats just my speculation. And im pretty sure, not killing the Darkin has nothing to to with mercy. And to clearify there are two diffrent ways to ascend, by the Sundisc Godwarriors were created. Thats called the Shuriman Ascension. There is also the Targonian Ascension (by climbing mount targon) and becoming a vessel for an aspects Power. The Climb is so challenging only few survive it and prove worthy. So the Targonian Ascension makes u the Host of an specific Aspect filled with its powers (like Taric the Aspects of the Protector, and his domain is life, love and beauty, or Pantheon The Aspect of War). While the Shuriman Ascended are empowered by Aurelion Sols Power and turned into Godlike Warriors with godly powers but they are not Gods and hold no specific Domain like the Aspects. Both yield cosmic powers but i think in generall the Aspects are rated more Powerfull in average then a Godwarrior/Darkin. But Darkin became stronger over the millenias and by using Bloodmagic to enhance themselves with every kill, even canibalizing their own kind (yes darkins used bloodmagic to boost themselves with the blood of other darkins they killed in the darkin war) Since Aatrox killed the Aspect of War it can be assumed Darkin and Aspect are on similiar Powerlevel. But it depends on their individual Power. There is a pretty fair range of strenght within Aspects and the same is within Darkin. If u want an historical comparison, Imagine the Aspects are like the old Greek gods all of them with a specific purpose, god of war, god of the travelers, god of the underworld etc ... and their opponents the titans with similar power bot no specific purpose. If u are interested in Powerlevels i recomend Necrits video "How Powerful Are Champions According to Lore"

Kindred liebe ich zu spielen also sind mir die meisten Voice Lines wahrscheinlich auch bekannt, aber die Story von Kindred habe ich zum Beispiel nie gelesen.
