- Here is the full moveset for Byleth in Super Smash Bros Ultimate! He/She was just released in the latest update! In this video we take a look at his/her moveset, final smash, kirby hat, victory screens and much more! Byleth is the 5th DLC character from the Fighter's Pass and he/she comes from the game Fire Emblem: Three Houses.

It's none of my business. But I guess do to how awful the Byleth trailer was, he/she had gotten a bunch of loath. Perhaps if the trailer was a little better, then people would hate him/her less.

That doesn't mean anything. Olimar never jumps in his game but he has good arial options and a decent recovery. Neither do villager/isabelle, but they have great arial game. Wanting a character to feel good to play isn't too much to ask.

The nair looks like it would make some really good combos.
I’ve already experimented with it a little bit. Overall it’s a good nair but I feel like it’s a tad unreliable. When using it, it seems like the direction it launches is inconsistent.
Not really, it’s like banjos. The last hitbox determines where your opponent will land. You can follow up if you’re lucky enough

It's not that good for combos... But then again I only had 20-25 minutes to lab with Byleth and clear their classic route, so maybe I'm wrong?
You can actually cancel the arrow right after it flashes yellow, but the window of time is very small and you still commit to firing the arrow if you miss it.

Also one cool thing wich makes their recovery kinda broken, if byleth can't grab the ledge, Up B can still grab a part of the stage and recover, but only in a certain angle tho, yet it's still good as hell even with that range

They're the only fighter with an exclusive tether recovery. Of course it has to be good.

The fact that Byleth’s arrow does 34% and a lot of knockback, it scares me...
I main zelda, and since people online spam charge B, I just reflect it, do 38%, and have a decent chance to kill if they are at 30%. It is so much fun
Byleth's moveset actually represents the different routes in thier game.
Sword of Creator: up inputs / keeping the church on top
Aymr: down inputs / Edelgaud following her dream even if it wears her down
Areanroad: Forward inputs/ Dimitri constantly charging forward
Failnaught: Neutral inputs / Claude trying to keep the Alliance neutral during the war.
@Fermín Javier Arro Álvarez I summerized it, but the 4 routes in FE 3 houses go like this:
Church route is about keeping the Church of Seros ABOVE the Empire matching thr Sword of the Creator's upward imputs.
Edelgaurd's route is about destroying the Church of Seros even if it wears the Empire DOWN in the process, matching Amyr's downward inputs.
Dimitri's route is about only going FORWARD to defeat Edelgaurd, matching Areanroad's forward inputs.
Claude's route is about keeping the Alliance NEUTRAL during the war, matching Failnaught's neutral inputs.
Fun fact about the Up B, there’s a chance if it doesn’t touch the ledge, it might attach to the side of the stage and Byleth will Wall jump off it.

sakurai doesn't count echo fighters as characters so there's only 6 FE characters in Smash

You forgot something with Up special, if you are low enough you can use the up special to grab the corner of the stage and do a wall jump.

They're about equal in terms of reach, but Byleth's tipper outdamage Simon/Richter's whip if you angle it towards the opponent's head.

Well, that's true, but the Mario IP has in total has sold more than FE, so if you were looking at rep in proportion to that, Mario's lineup makes sense, especially being a 1st party series.
I think the main problem is the variety.
Most of Mario characters are either extremely recognizable, extremely popular or extremely diferent between each other.
Meanwhile, FE isn't all that recognizable or popular and half of FE is basically Marth.
I don't agree with people complaining about Byleth being bad just because it is a FE character and I agree even less with people that say that it's just another swordman, but saying that it's ok to have a lot of representation because more known and successful franchises have more characters isn't a good response either.

I use Byleth 99.99% Of the time now.
Like with a Fighter Spirit, or a Spirit that increases her attacks, she/he can one shot a enemy.
Also i almost beat my Brother with Byleth who is really good in Smash.
