    Hi , thank you so much for your time doing this long video!!! I have never ever dreamed of doing something like this . But here I am and I am enjoying it so much!!!! I am glad that I chose this pattern for my very first mosaic crochet. Oh my colors I am using A = Peat ( looks like wet peat) and B= Bright Turquoise. It is soooooo beautiful together!
    Thanks again. Love from South Africa. ❤❤❤❤

    Okay. This is my first go at Mosaic crochet. I am doing this pattern first, because it's different, just so not normal, and second, because I have sat and listened to you two times, all the way through, (yes, 4 1/2 hours), and I love how you teach. I believe I can do this, with your help. Thank you so much. My mom taught me how to crochet when I was 12. I've done afghan after afghan for everybody. But I believe this one will be mine. (I doubt it.) But I will hide it until I'm done!

    I just love this pattern, and the "wave" design that goes through it. Really beautiful! ❤️ It's the first mosaic pattern I've done with a very long repeat of drop-down double crochet that leaves that little "ridge" behind the work. I found a video showing how to hide the ridge if it bothers you. It's on The Crochet Architect channel. Works great! 👍 I can see using this pattern in so many projects! Very easy to follow instructions! Thank you!

      You can make a throw blanket with 163 starting chains but if that is not large enough you can add sets of 32 chains to that count to make it wider so it fits your bed.

      I actually switch back n forth between pencil and knife grip when I'm crocheting off camera with these and find them comfortable both ways. He has a section "ready to ship" on his site, check that area out, those are usually the cheapest ones if you want to grab one to try. 😁😁😁😁😘😘😘

      Any yarn can be used. For a large blanket you are likely going to need 20+ skeins (6000 yards) of yarn, 10 for color A, 10 for color B as an example. The best way to know for sure is the Crochet a single repeat swatch and then measure the yarn you used. From there you can multiply it for the exact width and length you want and you will know exactly the amount of yarn you will need. There are videos here on TH-cam that walk you through calculations for this. I will link one here that I recommend. th-cam.com/video/ZM9oEkDI7Ho/w-d-xo.html

    This is my first Mosaik. I love it, but I’m kind of lost. How do I go on after the first motive? You just fasten off but I like to go on

    • @FiberFoxStudios
      @FiberFoxStudios  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You just keep working the repeat that I gave and recap after I he instruction on the row, follow my exact instruction but for a visual i recommend watching one of the smaller repeat designs such as this one th-cam.com/video/RbbW8rneOVM/w-d-xo.html
      This video might be helpful to you, watch row 3 (which is timestamped in the description) I work the repeat twice with you on the video for beginners). Once you watch that Row you will see how you keep moving down the row and can come bavk to this desigm to continue. Hope this helps.

    I’m just starting this for a blanket and I need to know if I start another 14 stitches after one single crochet or do I make a single and 2 doubles plus another single and continue the repeat? I’m gonna do it chevron style as you recommended but I need to make sure the continuous flows past 32 + 3. Please get back to me. Thank you

    • @FiberFoxStudios
      @FiberFoxStudios  ปีที่แล้ว

      Row 3 repeat is 14dc, 1sc, 2dc, 1sc, 14dc.
      You repeat exactly that set. When you end with 14dc, you begin with 14 dc so at that point where the design meets you will have 28 dcs all together with no sc in between them. Hope that helps clear your confusion.

    Hello. I've made one of your patterns before. Fantastic tutorials!! I have a question about this one though. Please forgive my ignorance but I seem to have a problem on row 7. I'm making a blanket. On row 7 I start with 12 SC right through to the end of the pattern for this row, which is 1 SC. But as I move on with row 7 and continue with 12 DC, this crochets right up to the 1S, 2D, 1S. It seems to me that I would have to crochet 10 DC in order to carry on through to the end of the row. Does this make sense? Thank you for any help you can provide.

    • @FiberFoxStudios
      @FiberFoxStudios  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      This is definitely NOT ignorance so please don't feel that way ever! I would start by checking your stitch count normally but I think you may be misunderstanding the repeat for these rows so let's start there:
      Row 6 REPEAT: 14sc, 1dc. 2sc, 1dc. 14sc
      Row 7: 12dc, 1sc, 1dc, 1sc, 2dc. 1sc, 1dc, 1sc, 12dc
      IF YOU ARE INFACT WORKING THE REPEAT CORRECT: the next step would be to count your stitches on this row and make sure you have to skipped/dropped a stitch. I have caught myself working a dc into the front loop of 1 stitch forward instead of directly below and I've also caught myself working 2 dcs into the same front loop so believe me, it can happen to anyone. For your count and to make sure you haven't lost a stitch somewhere you take your total number of stitches on your last completed row, then subtract 2 (for the 2 traditional sc's at Row start/end). The number after subtracting 2 should be evenly divided by the patterns multiple of 32. If it's not, you lost a stitch somewhere, possibly on another row before these 2 where the problem showed itself.
      I hope thus helps but please let me know if you are still having issues. One way or another we will figure it out and I'm here to help!
      Just for clarification if this were a pattern with a +4 you would subtract 3 and then divide by the pattern multiple. On a plus 4 we have the 2 traditional sc and 1 stitch where we restart the repeat to even out the final pattern on the row end.

      @@FiberFoxStudios Hello again, and thank you so much for getting back to me so quickly. So, my count is correct, that's one good thing. I started row 7 correctly, but thereafter there are 12 stitches in between the "bars" throughout the blanket. After the 12 stitches I'm supposed to do 1 sc 1 dc, 1 sc, but in between the "bars" are where color A has 2 db chains. Is there actually supposed to be 14 stitches in between the bars? Maybe that's where I made my error?

      I think I'm likely just misunderstanding something so I'm going to put it aside and finish my other blanket (Dahlia's Diamonds). Absolutely love this pattern as well. Thank you so much these awesome tutorials!!

      Hello again! I just finished the beautiful Dahlia blanket. Wonderful tutorial, thank you so much! And, came back to this pattern that I love as well, and figured out what "I" was doing wrong. Finally, I get to work on this one now. Again, thank you for these awesome videos!! I look forward to more!

    Hi! First I just want to thank you for sharing your beautiful patterns! But I need to ask this; when you say multiples of 32 and 3 at the end, do you mean for every 32 I count I add 3 every time? Thank you!

    • @FiberFoxStudios
      @FiberFoxStudios  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thank you! No you only add 3 to your starting chain count at the very end. The plus stitches are being used as your turning chain, your traditional sc at the start and end of the row. Hope this helps!
