Use two post-style earrings to untangle necklaces. Put the necklace on a flat surface, grab two posts and use those to detangle the necklace. Works so well!
This has to be the weirdest thing ever, but I discovered that the needle driver in my suturing practice kit for medical school helps with putting bracelets on one-handed. I'll lock one end of the bracelet (usually the non-clasp end) in the mouth of the needle driver and the weight of the needle driver keeps that end in place so that it doesn't dangle while I clasp the other end on. You could probably do something similar by slotting one end of the bracelet through a heavy pen clip, such that the pen clip holds it in place against the barrel of the pen. Then the weight of the pen will keep that end of the bracelet in place, making it less of a moving target for you to clasp on.

You can buy a little tool to help you put on a bracelet - looks sort of like a very fine crochet hook. You hook one end to the bracelet and hold the end so you can reach it with the clasp. A cheaper way is a bit of tape to hold the bracelet to your wrist while you fasten it. I do know what you mean. I wear two sterling bracelets all the time as they are hard to take on and off.

I sellotape the bracelet to my wrist on one side and then hook it on with the other hand. The tape stops the bracelet falling off!
