What an extraordinary video! How lucky to have been able to observe this precious little elephant’s first moments on this big earth...the more I learn about about these magnificent elephants, the more I fall in love with them, and this little guy has certainly found his way into my heart!
It’s amazing how all the other elephants are so protective and loving towards the babies, quickly rushing to him when he had his little mishap on the mud and wrapping their trunks around him while picking him up and steadying him on his feet. How anybody could dare harm any of these incredible creatures is beyond me...they are such a rare gift, and what a privilege it must be to see one in its natural habitat so soon after being born. Thank you for sharing this wonderful and special video with everyone!

Congratulations for this touching little film. It's crazy, when the new kid in the world falls, all moms run to help him up. That's right, among other things that I like among elephants, mutual aid, education to the youngest and ensure their protection first. How not to be awed by the most beautiful thing in mammals, i.e., the birth of a healthy baby.

Glad i could be part of an extra-ordinary moment!!!! Love the way all the adult family of elephants participated in the rescue of the "fallen" new born one way or the other!!!! NOW THAT IS THE DEFINITION OF "FAMILY" ....no matter your differences always be there for each other!!!!!

It's so wonderful to see Fang! There are some videos of her in 2018 as well and she seems healthy and has a lovely herd with her. She is becoming quite a celebrity on youtube with many ellie watchers keeping track of her. This little one couldn't be in better hands....tusks....er trunks?

Wow.... look at how the mother and sister immediately surround the baby when she stumbled to protect her from predators. That is how to rear a child. Take note humans.
So that's it? That's all that's required to rear a child is to help them up when they fall? And the note that we as humans should be taking is what? That we've been overdoing it by providing a home for our children to live in, reading to them, taking them to the doctor, celebrating birthdays, etc., etc. ON TOP of helping them up when they fall???
It really is bothersome to me how so many people worship these creatures as superior life forms to humans when they are NOTHING of the sort!!! I don't know why so many humans (usually liberals) find so much gratification in self loathing! And you yourself don't actually believe what you think you believe. How do I know this? By your statement of amazement when these instinctive animals had a rather human like response to the little one falling! To be honest, I was amazed myself. The reason for such amazement is because of how unexpected such a response actually is by ANY animal. What we expected was that the little one would struggle to his feet on his own, while the adults kept on eating or doing whatever! We were amazed because their instincts actually took on the appearance of care and concern... like a human would.
So I'm not sure what is so noteworthy that we as humans should take away from this. And since I, nor you have NEVER seen a human not help their child who has fallen, I can only conclude that you are suggesting that we're doing too much as human parents.
Stop hating yourself and your kind, and embrace your superiority.
