      @@KokaneeAddictFishing I've shown the picture to 5 different tacklestores here in Vancouver and dozens of serious fishermen and nobody has seen one bigger ......have guys call bs thinking it's out of the ocean......I have lost 1 and bigger and it still haunts my dreams seeing it jump 30 ft from the boat and go free !!
      Swear 10lb....... my creek runs into my neighbour's waterfront property and he says he's seen spawning reds easy 10 lbs a few times
      Some of your larger lakes and reservoirs south of us up north get a longer growing season.....the records like 14 or 15 lbs.......can you imagine 🤔

      @@KokaneeAddictFishing yeah, thanks for that. Throw out a few things and see what works, right? I'd be interested to know your thought process on where to start. I noticed in the first video you were working east/west in the basin, but in this video you working north/south on that northern arm. Is the FF leading the way, or...? Thanks!

    • @KokaneeAddictFishing
      @KokaneeAddictFishing  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's the million $ question. From fishing in the past at Jordanelle I knew that kokes have been in both of those areas. We had to launch at the personal water craft ramp in the basin due to ice in the first video so we decided to start there. For the next trip we decided to try the north end to see if we could get lucky. When the kokes are on the top 15 feet of water you usually don't see them with your electronics as they scatter when you go over them. So it's really trial and error early on. It can take a couple of trips close together to get things dialed in.

      It’s been tough there this year but shallow (20 ft or less) and pink as worked best for me.

    Do people ever catch Kokanee off the bank

    • @KokaneeAddictFishing
      @KokaneeAddictFishing  ปีที่แล้ว

      Kokanee typically hang out in about 30-50 ft of water. In the fall when the spawn starts they will come in shallower and it is possible to catch them from the bank at that time. In Utah the season for Kokanee closes from Sept 10 to the end of Nov to protect them during the spawn.
