This is interesting list, but agreed. Fun fact batchat 25 t was my first tier X. Not forgiving, but helps you learn because it punishes
mine too, it used to be unique now every tank on the enemy team has an autoloader or autoreloader, and everything can scout
AMX 30 B is so weird. IIRC it was a french Leo 1 to start with, then WG massively buffed the DPM which made it OP for a short time, then they nerfed every aspect of it to "balance" the DPM and abandoned it.
And then factor in the fact that if you're a new player that start playing this game this year and *don't want to open up your wallet* you will either start playing this tank with 75% crews at Tier 10... (No Gold, remember?) Or you buy SARL-42 at Tier 4 and grind your crews there. Because AMX 30B does not share crew layout with any of their Medium Tanks except the aforementioned Tier 4 SARL-42. Or you transfer Heavy Tanks or Tank Destroyers crews to them which will incurs massive EXP penalty when you retrain them to change vehicle class.
I used to hate that tank massively, it was so hard to make it work. DPM is incredible but what is it for you if the penetration on both types of ammo is horrible, the worst on any X tier medium if I remember correctly.
@@marasenha Probably you need to use its best camo among NATO tanks to sneak up on enemy behind... I'm being sarcastic by the way, considering that said best camo amounted to at best 10 meters extra leeway compared to other NATO tanks.
And of course, you're toasted if the game rolled you a corridor map. Consider that some heavies nowadays need 330+ pen to get through their frontal weak spots, and AMX 30B has 300 when using premium round...
Top 3, unusual tanks, variety and most importantly Skill plays the games live for YT, I can't think of a better combination of the things... Great video !!
I managed to get the first mark in the concept 5 soon after it was released. I used bond vents, rammer and bounty exhaust. It did make it a bit better.
A bond hardening is a must on it, that way every shot you take won't kill the wheels.
100% agree that it is the worst, but i still like it.
I sure hope it gets more camo and maximum wheel turning angles if it gets buffed. A slight dpm buff would be welcome as well so you don't loose a 1 vs 1 90% of the times.
the rhino of tier 10 mediums. once it gets 460-470 alpha damage it'll be fairly good
Agree Concept 5 is very difficult to play but it is also very fun to play
I agree the AMX 30 B is absolutely terrible these days, especially compared to a Leopard or a CS-63 or even the Centurion, but I have a bit of a sweet spot with it and always manage to make it work
Centurion has 30mm more Gold pen (330 vs 300), has HESH as HE rounds, Better traverse on hull and turret, Better rof, almost same gun stats and wayy Better overall armour
100% agree. I don't have Concept 5 or AMX but I guessed all three tanks... but had some doubts that Patton would also be candidate because of cupola.
What stood out most to me in this video was skill's list with his most played tanks: 8th place for the American T92 HMC arty! Arty-hater Skill has played 896 games with this arty ALONE. I haven't even played 896 games with ALL my arties, tbh, LOL;)

For me AMX 30 B is an OK tank. I do not know why but I feel well when I play with it. On the other hand I am just an 51% player so...what do I know?
-Concept is probably number 1. I have been playing that line and just got T9. However it does seem the T10 actually turns xD At least T8 needed half a football field to turn 90 degree in full speed.
-Amx is second.
-Third I would probably put K-91 since the gundepression and turret turning limits.
Out of the others I would almost put Patton above them, but it would all depend how the new player likes to play. If they do snipe or if they wanna be aggressive etc.
Also personally batchat is easier than tvp. TVP being taller can cause problems and also with Batchat you can be emptying your clip while having front of your tank ready to run. Batchat is also still bit of a scout while tvp not so much.

I am struggling with the batchat at the moment but thanks for the video I think I picked up some ideas on how to at least perform a bit better.
Excellent advice. I have a soft spot for the K-91 and have just bought the STB-1 so I clearly like a challenge.
I love my k91. It got such amazing stock gun handling that you can nerf your gun handling and accuracy to gain dpm and it will still be top notch handling
They need to compensate Concept with something to balance it being as beeg as that. Maybe some DPM, HP and Vision buff would help, as well as buffing the maximum tire turning radius for the entire line. If it wants to be a paper patton, at least give it more stuffs to offer.
A vision buff would be welcome, a slight dpm boost would hardly make it OP would it?

either give it good concealment cause as it stands its worse than the centurion counterpart or give it close to ebr mobility
I would've picked :Concept 5, Bat chat and K-91
Did 10 games with concept when it came out in the test server and did average of 4k dmg per game, did a 7k dmg game personally i think it's a great tank but i wish it had more camo and better dpm.
IMO Concept 5 is map dependent and you really need to play it like a Grille 15 - a long engagement sniper... you have to keep your distance at all times because you are the size of a barn and your "armor" just loves HE shells when detected.
It's a patience metronome .

Great? Lets check facts on tier X meds. In every category it may be average, but looking at the low data count(games played), because mostly only good players play it. It has a lowest win rate in tier X meds, because everyone plays that tank like TD with no armor and should definetly do better when playing TDs. Dont forget you are competing with meds in matchmaker. This tank is just utter bs. And yes you should compare it with leo, 140, progetto, udes, e50 and any other tech tree meds because it is tech tree med...
Any day I would take 13105 over bat. Many stats are somewhat better in paper, but in reality everything is different. The glory days of bat25 is gone, its now just a miserable tank in this meta. Both has "insane" gun handling, sometimes I think the shells are just dropping out of the barrel when you shoot, but the most fun part of all of this - bat25 has better view range than the actual france scout 13105... :D But you know with THAT gun you cant afford optics so scout would still go with better view range... :D

I don't understand why they made Concept so huge and zero camo... it could at least be sneaky.
I have 13 105 and BC 25t and well 13 105 feels better in every way. It's a bit faster, sneaker, the gun has pretty much half the reload, so mediocre gun handling isn't THAT big of a deal (with BC if you miss, it hurts... Physically and mentally). And being an LT, people tend to think you are less dangerous, but then I slap them for 1170 in 5 seconds and run away giggling.
T62A is close to that list, it went from being a Meta tank WaAAAAaaaayyy back in the day to being on that forgotten list of tanks with the AMX30B.
I will never understand this hate with AMX 30 B... i love this tank... had tons of great games with it... same as Tier 9
Logic of community. Sth does not have a lot of armor = must be compared to Leopard 1. Remember, this is the same community that cried for 7+ years for a buff on E-50M and when they finally got it and it became a good tank no one played it. Ppl who hate AMX-30b are prolly the same ppl that hate FV215b heavy. Cuz they completely fail to understand and adapt to something different. Oh well back into your VZ-55, Leo 1 and Obj. 277 plebs.
In current meta M48 Patton is also quite hard tank to play well with.
That's because it just isn't a good tank anymore.
I mean... not really. Decent stats all around, good gold, good regular, armor that can save you at times. Patton isnt hard to play.
Yeah it deserves a mention. Instead of playing Fatton you might as well get a real heavy like E5.

He is unicum, with his map knowledge any tank can shine, and if he likes the tank then it doesnt matter its objetively good or bad, Skill will end up with casual 6k dmg and 2.3 assisting damage :D its valuable for us cause often he shares what he thinks at the moment
i would say k-91 is also pretty hard to play, low alfa, low amount of hp, no 360 turret. You need to know maps very well to make it work
Now I feel bad putting my Skiiiiiiiiillllll Commander in my wheeled British Medium.
I like playing Concept 5, maybe it is hard to play with it, but I like challenge, and I am only average player at best. Playing with it only improves my own gameplay, it is hard but not impossible. For new players definitely not a good choice, but for somewhat experienced players it can work. Leopard is definitely better choice, and I like playing with Leo, do not get me wrong, but Concept 5 has definitely something to offer too. Not only hate, or calling it garbage, it is better to get somewhat balanced vehicle than OP armor with Minotauro, which is everywhere nowadays, thanks to WG.
Absolutely right on the concept 5 its pure garbage even when top tier, lower tiers have no fear engaging you either.. Also don't get me started on arty focus fire! Arty WRECKS it! Its pure crap on pretty much all of the maps. So I play a timid shoot and flee for cover type of playstyle, its reverse speed is one good thing which does help with this tactic I will say that. The gun does feel solid and accurate if you can stay alive long enough to use it.. Concept 5 = Difficulty level maximum! Also I really like this content talking about and playing weaker tanks.
I think this series of hardest tanks to play with should be about tanks with high skill cap. Those tanks that have unique quirks that you need to master, cause I dont think the Concept or Amx 30B is particularly hard to play, they are quite simple, just bad. On the other hand there are hard to master tanks like the K-91 with non rotatable turret and more gun dep on the side, STB where you need to get used to the suspension, Lion. etc. My 2 cents.
i really dont understand the hate for the amx 30b, on paper it has pretty decent stats other than the gold rounds, the dpm is almost the best at tier 10 medium, the view range is 410m, the top speed is 65 km/h, the armour is ok and id argue better than the leo, and the camo is decent too, i dont get the hate for it, someone tell me what is holding it back
I dont own GSOR but I am always happy to see another opportunity for my HE shells to penetrate ^^
Yeah, Wargaming was so afraid of introducing wheeled medium because of all the EBR backslash that they ended up introducing completely obsolete tree of tanks that offer nothing.
The AMX-30B just makes me sad. The AMX-30 was and still is one of my favourite tanks in the game, trading the finesse of the Leopard PTA for some extra dpm (and style points). But the tier X just simply isn't worth the worse match making
I feel sad that the Concept 5 is so bad. It feels very clunky, high profile, disgustingly low DPM... it's the worst line of tanks introduced in this game in a long time, arguably even worse than the Yoh tanks or chinese tds, although the tds were recently buffed a bit.
The whole Brit wheel line should have been let to cook longer.
Batcha is super HARD now adays when everyone is basically OP

Is the AMX 30B really worse than it's tier 9 sibling? I have the tier 9 and I enjoy it a lot. I never felt like complaining about the gun handling, also the mobility and camo are more than decent. I guess my full 3 skills crew helps too.

I think the concept 5 is such a disappointment and agree with its placement, I love the amx30b but I also think it's very hard to master, and the bat chat being hard to master I think was fair take. Overall I'd agree with you
The 30B was my first tier 10 medium and it's the reason I stopped playing

hi skill! i am a big lover of AMX30b i love his mobility view range and dpm but i pray to see wg put a buff to this tank because 900m/s for the gold and only 300mm of pen is horrible, so please wg put to this tank a gold at 1400 m/s and 325mm of pen and all will be nice lol! thank you for your content skill i love it!

Concept is probably my all time best tank having my highest AVG dpg I found LNE, Vents, Rammer made it work in a slightly different way than the leo. I absolutely love the concept above all other tanks it just fits so well with how I understand the maps. I don't think it's a skill issue on Skill's part I believe it's like the 50b, it's such a specialist tank skill is just so good he can make it work no matter what but only like very few people will fit it's play style. Only like the top .0x% of players can make the concept work cause they are just soo good, but if you fix the concepts playstyle then it works wonders. I also find the Leo trolls way more than the concept at least for me.

If you would play Leo 1 the same way u play Concept u would have similar and better results 👍
@@LateDude96 I mean i have the same thing, i perform abit better in Concept then in Leo, just because it fits my playstyle in hit and run more. Like i run it with Turbo, Optic and rammer and with that setup its actually pretty decent on open maps and okey on City maps. Also if you run a Turbo, Concept can rush Mali hill and get shots in on the Heavys before they get on the Hill, because the Hp/T is like 8 hp/t more then the Leo. so you rush the hill with like 50kph (i know CS could do the same, but doesnt have the alpha) and you are way faster out of cover because you also drive 30kph backwards. Same btw goes for Gsor and Progetto for me, Gsor makes way more credits for me then Progetto because of the same reason, even tho on Paper Progetto is way better.

I thought the premise is difficulty for beginners, not how good a tank is. My choices would be Leo1, stb and tvp. Such beautiful tanks, so attractive (like, who ever dreamed of playing a30b or concept5?), and so punishing with mistakes. And my honorable mentions would be E50M and obj140. Such accessible gateways into tier x from p.o.v. of grinding, again, such beautiful tanks and then the sheer threshold of tier x skill difficulty; that it becomes a miserable experience even with great tanks. In this line of thought, I wouldn't put batchat or prog65 in this top. The grind itself, as early as tier 5 maybe, prepares for exactly how tier x looks. I would actually be curious to see a statistic of what tanks do beginners tend to play.
The tanks you mention are hard to get MOE up to 3 MOE not hard to play. Check out Tanks GG to see their performance outcome.

I think the concept 5 is best discribed as a platoon tank. You need another medium to draw attention of your opponents while you farm them as they are distracted.
So basically you Need a sacrifical lamb for your concept 5

Bruh, Skill's thoughts about concept 5 is literally my thoughts about super conqueror, I'm always angry when I'm playing this shit, armor is shit, gun is shit, mobility is shit, arty hits it like there's no tommorow. In the same time I love my Yoh bcs of gun handling and mobility

Any tank with no armor and no gundepression with a questinable gunhandling i find very hard to play. 121b is for me the top of this list. It feels like +5 gundepression

I like medium tanks and get 3 moe on prog, leo1, 121b etc. but i play just few battles with concept and sell that, there's no point in bothering yourself, don't buy it, it's a waste of time.

Concept 5 feels like a tier 8 tank with a great alpha. Such a waste of a tech tree, very disappointing. At least GSOR 1010 is a tier 8, so it does not feel that terrible, but to have basically more or less the same thing at tier 10 is simply bad. Also, I got penned for 1000 by arta twice in 2 days on my Cent Action X, and to think that Concept gets that on a regular basis is appaling. Finally, after the multiple nerfs, I believe Progetto 65 should be one of the honorable mentions as well as sad as I am by that.

Totally. I heave the same feeling. This tank give a lot of joy. I know amx30b is worse then Leopard. But its rly not bad tank. I would say a bit above average. Unlike skill talk gun handling sometimes troll but its honestly not that bad as skill make IT. Its fair. Accuracy and alfa is not that bad neather. Also nice. Dpm is absolutly amazing. Speed is very nice too. Armor dont exist but SOMETIMES managed to bounce this 1 hit If u are lucky. So a tiny bit better armor then Leopard. Gold ammo suck. Honestly i think tank deserve 6,5/10 if u are leopard 1 enjoyer.
Above all, WG massacred the AMX30 in favor of the leo, because when it came out, they thought it was too good. And after the massacre, they completely abandoned it.
