It's much less of a thing that people seem to think. The Warriors coaching staff still called timeouts and made all the substitutions. The players just ran the huddles during timeouts.
If the CAVs and LBJ do these there will be no issue....

LeBron has done the same with Mike Brown and with David Blatt, even scratched out an entire play with Blatt once, there's a whole article on the web. But both Duncan and Bron have earned it. I actually agree with Nick Wrong. It was disrespectful but that isn’t Kerr’s concern. Kerr’s job is to put the players in the best position to succeed and he felt this was the way to do it at this time. Kerr can’t be concerned about image or trying to please everybody. The players responded well.

When they see their team is just going through the motions, even if they're doing fine, you might come in one day and say "hey, today, instead of me managing things, I want to give y'all a test and let you manage yourselves for today. Treat me like another grunt on the line, but don't burn the building down."
Our goal was to WIN BASKETBALL GAMES. That's what our players and staff are paid to do. We weren't getting paid to care about the other team's feelings. Be better. Don't lose by 46 lol. That's a skill issue lmao

Letting players suggest plays is totally different than allowing them to grab a clipboard and start coaching AFTER you totally emulated that orginizations style of play is disrespcectful! I stand by this. Kerr also was GM for Phoenix in which he didn't exactly do the best job at which is probably why he's a coach now and who knows how really good at that he is because hes got at ALLSTAR TEAM! AND sorry but BOOKER was and is the best player on the Suns and Suns fans are not hurt at all from what I can tell that Bledsoe is gone, oh I don't even know who that is LOL!!! We give coaches waaaaayyyyy too much credit, Kerr has nothing to do with how good the warriors are. If the suns and the warriors swap starting 5’s the suns would be the best in the league
Unfortunately thats just a basic assumption. It doesn't take into account all the "playoff adjustments" that need to be made. Substitutions, clock management, etc.. these players..though smart may not get all the "nuances" of coaching.
