I've noticed the interaction with the momentum on this tech is different than a standard diagonal punch, mainly referring to the Temple of Anubis rollout at the start of the video. I made a video on this a little while back under the name "Diagonal Slide Punch", and I didn't name it as a "Diag" since the longer you are sliding against the wall for, the higher your upward momentum gets, like in a curve, as compared to the linear momentum of a diagonal punch.
It's the same momentum. Rocket punch has only one momentum and no geometry changes that momentum just the angle. The only thing that changes momentum of punch would be some sort of boop like lucio / ball / brig whip. wall diags were always possible but it was just very inconsistent due to the annoying bug that existed at the time
Get Quaked On - But like on the first Temple of Anubis Wall Diag, the longer you're hugging the wall, the faster your character begins to travel upward. The horizontal momentum stays constant, whilst the vertical momentum keeps increasing the longer you're sliding against the wall. I noticed it when I checked it in 3rd person in a replay :)
Nice explanation makes sence i will have to try more. If there is a zyenata up there on anubis in my games i think i am in trouble, thats some next level pro shit to get up there as zyn with no help 😂
You should do a video on what to do for fallback strats when you mess up jumps. What I see a of the time are doomfists trying to do the tricks, messing up, and then their brain goes to 0iq for a fresh feed.

Nah, to bounce you need to press the jump button as late as possible when hitting the object to bounce higher. In a diag you don't bounce, you just put your crosshair at a certain spot, charge the rocket punch and at the end you jump, like the anubis wall, when the diag is ending you can press the jump button again to gain more distance. Like the rocket punch trick

@@mileslemon well even without these niche techs, I get killed or stunned even if I have escaped to the other side of a corner on my screen. But since the enemy has me (from their screen's perspective) on their cross hair when they shot, I get damaged because 50ms is waaaaay better than 200ms.
I play doom, but I have to solo queue and stay out of team chat. I tried to group up and they said I didnt have enough barrier damage on doom, so I got kicked. In team chat people say hateful things and dont heal me just because I'm doom.
