That's always a good thrill when you get something to run that has been setting for years.

Yes sir it sure is. After I talked to my buddy that I got the tractor from he said they finally found paperwork that the last time it was used was actually 1994 so that's 30 years! Even more impressive!! Thanks for watching!

That's great to see it running! Keep saving those old tractors. I grew up with a 55 TO35 gas (and have it running) plus a couple of parts TO35s I got running. We had bigger tractors than the Ferguson back on the farm, but it was the hardest working one.

She turns over and if the fuel pump never had water in it it will run. Farmcraft 101 had an engine where a crank was previously attempted which pushed the water into the pump then not starting to get clean fuel in there. So rust and corrosion had occured in the pump.

When you were draining the oil would have been the time to drop the sump inspection plate...
and clean out all the thick sludge on the bottom of the pan.
Then throw about 2 gallons of diesel in from the top to flush those bits you couldn't quite reach with your hands and a cloth.
Ditto change the oil filter or at least take the old one out and leave it out.
Then put new high detergent 15W40 diesel oil in it....
Change the fuel filters...they'll be full of algae.
In future buy a Facet style click click 12VDC cheap in line fuel pump and use that to pressurise the whole fuel system all the way to the injectors...crack open each in built priming point and the fuel injection system is primed.
