I had to watch a few parts a few times, and switch back k and forth, but got it connected. We just moved and there is no internet here. But we do have good Verizon signal with our android phones. So that's great that we can get connected. Really appreciate your help!
Racking my brain trying to remember which of my earliest phones could do this. Maybe it was the Palm Treo 650. Needed a cable back in 2004 or so. I'm intrigued trying to remember. There was also a GPS kit sold in the same era for laptops and early 'smartphones' like the Treo. What would the network have been in early 2005? 2G?
@@nickscomputerfix You are very welcome any time and I know a lot about phones and all of these computer related things but I don't know everything at all but these videos on here so can teach people how to do a lot more things for sure and my mom is with somebody that thinks that he knows everything like he made me take a phone back last week to Wall Mark a Straight Talk phone he said it would not work I tried telling him he needed a min card in order to set the phone up and he said I was wrong and I ask them when I took it back and I was right but he is the type that if he thinks he is right about something nobody can not tell him right at all

How do I use hotspot for mobile data if I have a sim card from another carrier that uses verizon towers? Verizon settings wont let me use the mobile hotspot feature since I no longer have a Verizon SIM card nor a Verizon number.
Hi Nick..I was able to open my hotspot .but to connect with another phone it brings authentic.. Then brought saved and finally brings connecting. It keeps on bringing the save thing rather than connection .please help?
@@bimg1915 if you pay extra for hotspot you won't get unlimited hotspot but if you don't pay and you still have hostpot then it will use your phone's data for hotspot so if you have "unlimited" data then yes but in some carriers unlimited data is 35 gb but i think that's more than enough.Hope this helps
Just got a new laptop. I live in the middle of nowhere, and can't get wifi. I have a hotspot turned on, and the laptop says it is connected to the hotspot, and the signal is very strong. But the laptop still says " No internet available". What's going on?

Some cells dont have that option. I got a $300 android that doesn't have that feature yet my buddu has a $50 android with hotspot and tethering already installed.
Dude you need to make it clear you are using ANDROID hotspot. Almost all cell phone carriers disable this so you can't use it! In order to reverse that you have to root it!
considering how much cellphone service cost and how much trouble they have caused Us so much that they should be sued and the Government take over the cellphone services, then these cellphone companies should shut the hell up before they get beat up..............
Yeah it keeps happening with me. Before watching this video and after, I been doing it as said in the video but still no connection. Says fail connection.
Not every phone has this capability. If your service is not provisioned to use tethering or hotspot, it will not work. Even though the option is there in your settings. Case in point, I have a galaxy 5 that has access to the hotspot option; my galaxy 7 does not. Just saying.

You may need to contact your carrier to enable the hotspot (extra charges may apply depending on your provider and/or plan).
