- In February we grabbed a handheld and shot a quick video of Mike's great Patrol. Mike built the drawer system, installed a compressor and water tank in the fender wells and did many more budget mods. The Patrol is a beast and we had a great time Rolling around Candamine Gorge in Australia!

Nice video. I think my air pump should come with welding gloves for handling it gets hot too, after going for 20 or 25 minutes total. Mike has an awesome rig! I like all the mods. The battery setup, that air pump, table, lights, the list goes on. I think I have air pump envy.

I got one with rebuild 3.0 turbodiesel engine..Slap some led spot lights and infotainment inside so my family don’t get bored when we drive through terrain..I ride adventure motorcycle too...

I wish we could get some of these models in the US. Especially the Nissan Patrol or the Toyota Land Cruiser models they have in Australia. It's so much fun to explore Australia. I got the chance to explore the Outback from Brisbane to Ayers Rock.

Love them rigs in Aussie. Wish we could get them here in the U.S., left handed drive of course, with the Diesel engines. Especially the Land Cruiser 79 series.

Shame you yanks miss out on these rigs.. I've had 4 GU patrols in my time all heavily modified.. But have since changed it up to a r51 Nissan Pathfinder yd25 2.5 turbo diesel auto.. You will definitely enjoy the new ford ranger next year as well :) keep it up I enjoy this channel..

I love the look of the patrols. What are they like to live with? Reliable?
They have two basic problems: rost and crappy engines.... exept one - TD42 (BEST ENGINE FOR OVERLANDING EVER MADE).
Everything else is better then competitive brands. I mean EVERYTHING.
So if You find free of rost Patrol Y60 or Y61 with TD42 engine - You will have best rig for overlanding in the world.
I have 3 of them - so I know what I'm talking about.
