I watched River' performing this set in Bayreuth live and it hit me so hard, the composition itself and his freakin' liproll, i have never witnessed sth so beautiful and hard hitting, i thought the whole venue will colapse now. Absolutly insane and beautiful...
This was for sure one of my favorite Elims. River is just a beast and an amazing artist! He recently was a judge at the UK Beatbox championship 2024 in Bristol and did an amazing showcase. Beautiful to watch and listen to live. Then smashed it with more moustachio power with Collaps!
Not spoiling is a boss move. I've done my best to not spoil the competition since I'm only able to see it as it's released and find it more enjoyable if I don't know the results. That said, another reaction I saw to this spoiled it straight off the bat. Appreciate the thought anyway!
Yeah some people are just dicks. Like the people who comment on the showcases like "Oh so-and-so deserved to go further!" Or "so-and-so was nuts in the final!" like come on man... Not everyone was able to watch a competition that happened in Japan live! lol timezones exist!
fucking exactly, it takes minimal effort to not spoil shit, personally i always wait for the videos so that its in the best audio quality possible and i got spoiled by someone in dlows river video's comment section for who was in the finals and it really fucking sucks, i guess that's just the internet though and what's funny is people attacked me for calling out a spoiler...
River' invested in voice lessons with a voice coach, to learn breathing and control. I appreciate it when they go the extra mile to be unique. I do not like beat boxer's who never grow just sounds like wash rinse repeat.
