People always jump to that. 'Highest form of power a Saiyan could reach', SSJ3 was the highest form of power before GT came out what's your point?
Yes I know why it has fur because it's supposed to be based on the power of the great ape, that doesn't explain what doesn't make sense about it.
SSJ4 is the product of controlling the combination of Oozaru and SSJ1 (Golden Oozaru). Thing is, we've seen someone control the Oozaru state, we've seen many control SSJ. In neither of those cases does the body get compressed down to a smaller size. You master SSJ1, you get SLIGHTLY less expanded muscles and less change overall. You master Oozaru there is no physical change you can just talk. There's no logical reason that putting the two together would have the sudden effect to shrink that down to human size.
And that in of itself was stupid, the entire transformation sequence of Goku just shrinking. No explosive aura no popping out muscles just shrinking and ending up in the weirdest little arched back position ever the whole sequence was entirely lame. Bones don't just condense that's not logical, muscle condenses all the time in DBZ, how Broly grew the power of the Oozaru in his body by just expanding into a muscular shape with an eye change that's the kind of animation 4 would need.
Then you have it's color pallet, no, you can't have the same SSJ form be different colors on different users. SSJ forms are always the same color for every character, it's dumb that for no reason Goku and Vegeta's eye, fur, and hair color are different - and then they completely swap up when they fuse? Fuckin why? I get their hair is supposed to be base form colored but for one also why in general, but two why is the hair base color and not the fur that's just out of place. It should be red like Gogeta's and like the fur and it should be the same color between characters.
And that's just it's design, then you have it's power which for no good reason changes the body THAT much but they can use it as naturally as their base forms. That's just contradictory. Literally every instance of a flashier form is immediately outdone in DBZ by a simpler form and every instance of a flashy form immediately comes with drawbacks.
SSJ1's best form was when it was mastered and there were the least amount of changes and that immediately trumped the grade 2 and 3 forms. SSJ2 came along and Toriyama says to this day that SSJ2 still burns Ki implying it can't be mastered like 1 for only a little bit more flashiness. SSJ3 drains Goku's power "in an instant" as he's stated, and then that was outdone in the same arc by Mystic Gohan where Old Kai told him the reason that he didn't transform was basically because it was always best to have the less form with the most power. DBZ literally ALWAYS opts for the more subtle. Toriyama even stated this was the case as to why Golden Frieza only change colors and some patterns - because he couldn't think of a way to make him MORE simple than final form. In the DBZ world simple forms will always be strongest, hulking out and having many detail changes is a literally sign of weakness or at least inconvenience to DBZ forms.
But no Goku can just use the overdetailed form like it's nothing because SSJ4 is great and perfect and flawless - and mary sue as fuck.
If SSJ4 were to make sense; it would first off need to have a better color pallet, it would need to happen via the muscles expanding and hair growing - NOT a giant monkey shrinking out of nowhere (maybe just by going Oozaru in SSJ3 instead of 1 and it holds down the muscles forcing it to expand into the human sized body and not grow ape size), and using it would have to hurt Goku and Vegeta more than Blue Kaioken did Goku the first time or at least drive them nuts like a Broly scenario.
Point is no, in lore it doesn't make sense and contradicts a lot, and saying "it references the Oozaru form and is the ultimate power" doesn't make up for an ounce of it.
@Xtreme.xirtam Yes I am, because "bringing logic into anime?" Is not only the dumbest excuse anyone brings up to never have to think about anything, but it's an entirely incorrect implication. Anime doesn't follow real world logic all the time but they certainly set up their own logic in which they follow. So yes things still have to make sense within the logic of their own series and SSJ4 objectively does not.
I mean it's fine you can like it, but it only makes sense to you due to a lack of information. You can remain bias there's nothing wrong with that but you can't act like your bias is factual, because factually SSJ4 contradicts DBZ with almost every aspect of itself. If you wanna know why it's in my response, but it is fact.
@Xtreme.xirtam Full understanding of the form doesn't mean full understanding of how ALL forms work and how SSJ4 SHOULD work within that logic.
I'll try to bullet point it simply for you (there's only three, the last two things are in response to your quotes a least read the bullet points) :
- Mastering SSJ doesn't shrink your body, mastering Oozaru doesn't condense you to human size, mastering both together couldn't suddenly shrink you out of nowhere.
- SSJ forms aren't allowed to look different between users. Goku and Vegeta shouldn't be having different colored eyes and fur - the hair thing is supposed to be base hair so at least that had a reason to be different but when the fur is colored it's illogical that the hair is not. Honestly Gogeta was the best design for SSJ4 but even that was dumb because it randomly changed because of fusion which also doesn't happen to SSJ forms.
- All forms with more design added to them are always inconvenient to the user and near immediately outdone by the more subtle. A form with as much detail as SSJ4 should be harder for Goku to use than the first time he went Blue Kaioken.

Except literally every other SSJ form ever in the entirety of the series up until now. That is literally how every SSJ form works, you can't just change it because it's a special snowflake form that gets to be different for no reason. If it's an SSJ form it needs to follow SSJ logic. No other SSJ form ever has different colors and appearances depending on the user, so this one shouldn't either.
I don't think base hair DOESN'T suit them, but the fact that the hair is base but the fur is bright ass red is jarring and just doesn't look as powerful as the other way around or just all red. It was base color because it was trying for that whole "it's as natural as base form" nonsense and that part factually is a contradiction. So while the base hair may not be bad and may be an opinion on which we like more, the motivation for making it that way was actually a poor choice.
Also fusion should never change SSJ colors because again that's not how it works.

If it's to your interest the svm 7 has the ultimate ssj4 team with all units having similar abilities and helping each other, it's a full 4 stars team composed of 2 heroes 2 elites and 2 berserkers if I'm not mistaken, it's gohan, goku, vegeta, broly, bardock, and gogeta, hell of a team.

@@davidesteban191 that is not true at all. Super entire backstory goes off of dbminus and dbkai. In super good and Vegeta were born at the same time and in db they were not, bulma has a sister in super not Db, end of Z Goku did not know anything about these gods of destruction. Toei made Z and GT and was watched over by Akira and he stated in the box set that it's the true ending to Dragonball so try again. Just type it in on Google and you can find his note my man. Super is a prequal it is before the end of Z so it's impossible for it to be a sequal he is old and thought ss3 was ss2.

SSJ4 is already a shit show with how much it contradicts how transformations work and a whole bunch of other issues, but the fact that this game has so many hypotheticals of them just makes it even more lame. Heroes doesn't know how to be creative with it's forms.

No, I want them to actually think about what characters they give forms to to actually make them cool what ifs, and not just random 'throw it on every character'. Like don't give Future Gohan SSJ3, give him 2 and cap it there - the form he didn't get that his other timeline incarnation did. Don't give Bardock SSJ3, and it's just the same here. They don't give characters cool forms that fit to them, they just smack every form on everyone. It's just more awful with 4 because the form already is horridly contradictory and just a lame out of place form. So what I want? Just not give so many damn characters this form.
