I don’t smell anything harsh or metallic in this fragrance. The contrary, I would describe it beautiful, soft, elegant. I wear it for a lovely dinner with the misses. She loves it on me, I consider it unisex, I bet I would like it on her too.
It's perfect for autumn and winter. Kinda goes with these rainy winter days. :) Got a 10ml sample of it last week. It smells simply elegant, sophisticated, rich and classy!
I actually love Moustache so much I bought a backup bottle. I initially had a decant of Tuxedo which I love, but decided Moustache was close enough (for my undeveloped nose) that I would spend that money on something else.
It's pretty much the same. Its slightly.. less smooth but it's almost impossible to notice the difference in the air. Paying 200€ extra for Tuxedo would be pretty idiotic if we're honest
@@stevenlang9849 exactly. I wouldn’t say my nose is untrained after owning around 200+ bottles and having tested around 400-500 fragrances and i have a decant of tuxedo (only a decant, because i decided not to buy it) and i own moustache and it’s literally as you say. Basically the same just tuxedo feeling a little more well rounded and even that not by much. Moustache is a true masterpiece and smells way higher quality than its priced. Im very Surprised aaron hates it this much.
I’m in my late 20s and I wear this fragrance, and my gf that is 23 loves this on me, so maybe not necessarily for older men. I remember when I blind bought it my initial thoughts were exactly like Aaron’s BUT when I wore it a couple of times it kind of grew on me. After an hour or so it kind of mellows down to a nice cozy scent. I’ve never really understood people that obsess with the top notes of a fragrance, you’re going to wear it for a few hours so the heart and base notes should be more important. I’d recommend anyone considering to buy this to try it on and wait an hour or so before deciding because that is when this fragrance shines. Can’t wait to see Aaron’s comparison with ysl tuxedo!

I happen to like Moustache a lot but appreciate your honesty. And that's why I watch your reviews. I always respect your opinion because you base it on fact and your own personal preference. And not by how much a company is paying for your endorsement. Congratulations again for your recent award, much much deserved!
I personally love this one..I have YSL Tuxedo too and I like this more..I don't get anything harsh at all with this I get soft pink pepper vanilla and patchouli with a powdery dry down that i love..for the price it's a no brainer
This is why I respect Aaron's take on a lot of things he doesn't go with what everybody likes I mean if he likes it then he likes it but if he doesn't he's going to say so because we all know that fragrance is subjective so great video today Aaron and my scent of the day is Xerjoff Apollonia from the shooting stars collection. 💯🔥
I bought this recently and have had really positive reactions to it! There is a slightly metallic tinge to it, and I remember YSL Tuxedo being slightly smoother and sweeter in the dry-down, but Moustache is still unreal considering the price.
I am a big fan of this scent, in fact it's in my winter bin that I'm overdue on opening up because I'm still wearing my fall stuff. Yeah, the Tuxedo price is a tough one to accept 🤧 For the price I really like this and can live the rest of my life without Tuxedo, but in my experience cold weather is a necessity.
I highly recommend trying Boucheron Jaipur Homme next. I found it to be an eye-opening spicy aromatic fragrance. Both the EDT and EDP smell great and close enough imo (though I slightly prefer the EDT these days)
Started wearing that in the mid 90s. Love it but prefer the EDP. But as with most frags, newest versions don't have the punch and longevity they used to.
I actually got a 10ml of this scent. It smells elegant, sophisticated, rich and classy. What I mostly get out of notes are mainly myrrh or some kind of incense, rose (not overwhelming and loud, but still present) and vanilla in the background. The green note is barely there, but it's probably patchouli? I don't really know. I see someone with a nice black suit and a peacoat wearing this fragrance. :)
Very surprised by this one Aaron. I thought you‘d love this. It’s actually better than tuxedo because it’s 1/4th price while being 99% similar. I own moustache anf have a decant of tuxedo and decided not to buy it after i got the decant since it’s literally the same just a tiny little bit better rounded which no one will ever detect when they smell them in the air. I also get nothing harsh from this. Soft peppery sweetness with a beautiful creamy vanilla a little spiceyness and that beautiful hint of rose in this. I wish i had a back-up bottle.
i really like this scent but everyone has its own opinion :) its like looking at a painting some wil look at it and say it mediocre and others will say it a masterpiece its all based on our own taste :)
I bought this fragrance last year because of so many great reviews and so much love this fragrance gets. When I first sniffed it I was kind of disappointed or maybe rather very neutral to it (this feeling still lasts). I even put a comment how I feel about it to one of the most famous fragrance reviewers here on youtube. I've received pretty negative reply from him such as, how dare I am not to love this perfume as this has been mutually confirmed as a masterpiece by the whole fragrance community. Thanks for the review Aaron :)
Rochas is a very underrated House with cheapies of great quality for the price. If you love Moustache, Rochas l'Homme is very good everyday scent (an original take on the blue fragrance style of perfumery) bloody orange, cardamon and pineapple for the opening and a combo of Tonka and patchouli as base notes. And it is very cheap too 40€ for 100ml
You remind me of like a musical conductor when you explain the notes of the fragrances because of your hand gestures. I feel like I actually understand the perfume a lot more with the way you explain it.
I understand you don’t want to offend/smash a house, but I feel like it’s important to be honest with your scores. It felt more like you would give this a 4 or 5 based on your reaction to the scent. Thank for all your hard work!
I luv it 🥰, compliment getter as well. Thanks for your honest review...! I feel because it's associated to YSL Tuxedo, one automatically resonates with it as being elegant. 🤷🏾♂️
I love this fragrance. I think this fragrance is extremely dependent on your batch though. I have an older batch that isn’t harsh at all, projection and longevity are fantastic. My friend bought a newer batch and it was quite weak with a different smell.
I absolutely adore Moustache, Tuxedo is more classy that's true, Moustache however is fresher at least for me, i do get green tea vibe from it which I do absolutely adore. Thank you for your honesty Aaron, it is kinda rare this days, most of creators do go with the flow, you on the other hand do say what you honestly think.
Aaron is the only person I watch now if I decide I want to purchase a fragrance or not. You have to understand all the other TH-camrs are not a perfumer. They can’t smell what this man smells. He creates his own perfume. he knows exactly what’s in it and if it has too much of one thing or not enough of another thing.
Yeah, same. I think it's an excellent scent. Not because it's affordable. I just think it is excellent. Another great scent in my opinion is Bentley for men intense. Scent of the day. It's tremendous. I have many far more expensive designer fragrances but the two I mention are way above their price point.
I own this fragrance as well as Tuxedo and your take is spot on with my experience. It has better longevity than Tuxedo, but can be a bit clawing and is getting even more potent as it sits on my shelf. I use one spray lightly applied, and my 2 bottles will last me several lifetimes.
I get a kind of pickly and zingy vibe from it, weird and sort of mature, I blind-bought it from positive reviews again, and I hate it. Thank you for your honest review like always, Aaron.
Aaron is right on with this one. I blind bought this and hate it, it is a very sour rose on my skin and is very headache inducing. The fragrance community is nothing more than an echo chamber, thank you for being real Aaron!
I really love this fragrance, to me it just smells so good! Smells soft and relaxing to me. Plus the price is unbeatable, I just paid 35 dollars for it. The fact that he didn't like it doesn't mean you won't like it. So try first, fragrances are subjetive.
I agree about the ‘harshness.’ There’s a strong leather note in it that makes it more masculine than I’d like. I was expecting something soft, benzoine-heavy and completely unisex. But it kind of smells like a lighter Bentley For Men Intense-leathery boozy and masculine.
@@andrewmoss1135 Because of how everyone described it, apparently including Rochas-the “sensitive man.” Everyone said it’s “benzoin vanilla with a bit of rose” which sounds unisex. Dior Homme Intense has homme in it and is unisex. L’Homme Ideal EDP too.
I like it just fine. It actually grows on me still. However, it just doesn't last on my skin. Maybe it's the newer batches, maybe it will get better with time... But when I spray it, I can expect 1-2 hours of projection, with the scent almost completely gone by hour 3-4. (And I'm usually not the one complaining about longevity, most other fragrances work just fine on me.)
I have two 125ml bottles of this because I got it for 50 dollars each. It has good performance. It has a melancholic orange tangerine scent and the melancholy comes from the rose. It's like pimp juice.
I ordered a decant of this. Before I even sprayed it, I was getting an almost-fishy note from it. Had it been any stronger I might have gagged. Sprayed it on, didn't like it at all. YSL's Tuxedo is a masterpiece. This feels like a cheap imitation (which it is). Spent the money and got the OG, well worth it. Thanks for reviewing this, though, as it made it recently made its round in the men's fragrance community.
Thanks for this Aaron! Hey would you be willing to review Nasomatto's China White?? Would love to get your take on it, especially since you've reviewed a few other Nasomatto fragrances.
Great review. I think you were fair in your rating. 7/10 is a good rating. I've owned this now for almost 3years and I must say I quite like and enjoy it very much.
My 1st purchase of Moustache EDP was a blind buy. After opening it, I immediately bought 3 more bottles to save.. This is one of my favorite fragrances of all time. It gets more depth after it "macerates" for a few weeks..
The reason why you liked Tuxedo more is exactly because it's a bit more smoother and higher quality raw materials. But comparing the two Moustache comes extremely close to it and with the price difference it's a no brainer. I tried both side by side but I simply don't see myself paying that extra money for Tuxedo when Moustache is so close to it plus 120ml bottle...I paid less then 40eur for it.I love it,super classy fragrance. And your should dress up for it. It's not something to be worn casual.
Love your opinion on this one! This is why I love this hobby, it is so subjective so everyone has their different taste. To me personally, love it at first sniff considering that price range. Unique and i have never smelled this on anyone
Excellent review Aaron, I felt the exact same way about this fragrance, it really doesnt quite do it for me, it is metallic which is a let down for me, all the other facets I can live with, but that opening and lingering mettalic note puts me off , sadly it has become a bathroom freshner. Other than that, I have to give away this blind buy.
85% similar to YSL Tuxedo, but the last 15% difference that Tuxedo has makes it so special and alluring. Would always get Tuxedo instead of Moustache!!
Love your reviews and love when you don't like something and you say yes it's a good performance and long lasting but i don't like it, we all do it we've all got our own unique taste, I've never tried this one yet
This fragrance turned up today… and it’s lovely I can see where moschino toy boy got the idea now.. iv had this on for 40 mins now it’s lovely 💯 percent be buying more
Thanks Aaron, it's a very honest review and not just making money vloggers who endorses products. I actually got one as per review but its an ok fragrance to me and I do not know how to finish it🤣😂🥺🥺
Interesting to hear your comments on this Aaron. I actually sold my bottle, I thought that cedar dominated too much and made the fragrance unbalanced. Hence why I sold it!
thats a strong 7 . i think you gave a great review Aaron here. very balanced, critical with caveats. i LOVE this one and love the dry down on this one even more . its one of the few that latches and doesnt go away in 60 secs :) . i just got my Carbon by the way and LOVE it too. layering and im really enjoying wearing it as a signature as its so versatile . Cant wait for the relaunch in 23.. cheers from US .

I like it, but I agree this does lean more mature. As a college kid, I’m very situational with Moustache EDP since it smells so elegant and refined. I have to wear at least a button up with it. I like it a lot, but I don’t spray it as much as I want to
This review reminds me why I stopped collecting and watching reviews and going down the damn rabbit hole making others more money.... This is a great fragrance and my girlfriend is smitten with it.
I was originally a fan, until I suddenly became sensitive to woody ambers. Now the woody amber material stands out to me like a sore....phallus? 😄 Can't seem to ignore it. Still, at a distance it can still be pleasant. The fragrance. Not the.....yeah.
Hi Aaron, saw your aventus comparison with explorer today and just thought maybe the weak performance could be due to the sample bottles. I have found that they spray less than a full bottle and you need to spray a lot to match the volume you would of a full bottle spray🤷🏻♂️ just a consideration
Aaron-Thank you for your wonderful reviews. Your extensive knowledge and your ability to break down a perfume and explain how all the parts are working together (or not) on the fly amaze every time. I am curious if you are going to review Iman's "Love Memoir" unisex scent. I read an interview with her about it wherein she mentioned Tom Ford's "Grey Vetiver," which she said was David Bowie's favorite scent. I was researching it and it led me to you. Thanks again!
Hello Aaron! Could you please tell me, from your brand of perfumes, which of the man fragrances would you consider to be the absolute masterpiece? And by masterpiece, I mean the one with the most complexity, with the most masculine and seductive smell and with the most reactions from the "elevated" members of the perfume community.
So I don't disagree with your assessment, yet I love Moustache because of the things you pointed out, not despite them. In this fragrance, the vanilla aspect becomes very dominant because it has both vanilla and benzoin. That initial blast of pink pepper, citrus, vanilla and woods is abrupt (for you "harsh") versus a more refined carefully blended fragrance like Herod. That abrupt opening is what I like. I like that it hits me with layers versus swirls. After the first layer I catch the rose and the spice with the vanilla, then the benzoin grabs the vanilla and clings to the skin and I love that dry down. If PDM Herod is going to the symphony, Moustache is like going to a metal concert. I enjoy both. That said, I do not use this fragrance unless I have time for it to quiet down before I go out. While I enjoy that opening, it would be overpowering to others when I first put it on.
I have seen you have reviewed Givenchy Gentleman EDP and Reserve Privée. I would love for you to review more from the Gentleman line, maybe give your thoughts on Boisée
I wonder if you could give us your take on Jazeel Ghala. I love it, but it's a shock for Western noses. -a real oud/real rose bomb. Anyway, I trust your take on frags more than any other reviewer.
*Nice hairstyle* I just got sample of guerlain ideal parfum, xerjoff nio and moustache after tons of hearing positive hype. Guerlain hugely dissapointed giving me headache, nio was meh.. but moustache came one of my favourite scent. It's i'd say blind safe buy. Try a sample you'll love it.
I'll be honest I'm not sure I love it either. I don't think it smells bad, but it seems like an occasion (dressed up maybe) fragrance, which I almost never wear. I did get it for under $28 US and sort of regret it.
I'm curious on your thoughts about Marc-Antoine Barrois Ganymede and Nasomatto Fantomas. Two scents I am a huge fan of. Also would be nice to see you cover more lower cost fragrances on the channel, especially middle-eastern fragrances from places like Afnan and Lattafa.
for me moustache starts off like Dior Homme intense or Valentino Uomo intense and in the dry down you have some of that mysterious Dior Fahrenheit darkness. Compliments galore!
I have the EDT and would like to get the EDP. To me, the name "Moustache" embodies the character of a vintage, just-from-the-barbershop, masculine sort of gentleman.
I don’t smell anything harsh or metallic in this fragrance. The contrary, I would describe it beautiful, soft, elegant. I wear it for a lovely dinner with the misses. She loves it on me, I consider it unisex, I bet I would like it on her too.

One of my favorite cheap scents. I paid around € 30,- for 125ml and a shower gel.
Where do you get these prices ? It’s amazing
Looking forward of you exploring more of the Les Absolus colletion by Guerlain and particularly Bois Mysterieux
i bought it for 20euros 125ml when it was brand new ... steal :D
Great video as always, Aaron!
I would love to see your reaction to "Falcon Leather". I´ve got a great feeling that you´re gonna Love it.
This fragrance turned up today… and it’s lovely I can see where moschino toy boy got the idea now.. iv had this on for 40 mins now it’s lovely 💯 percent be buying more
I enjoy your inciteful and honest reviews. Always look forward to them.
This is one of the greatest fragrance of all time
I always go to your channel to see your opinions before I buy a fragrance
Great review! When can we expect comparison between Davidoff Cool Water vs Green Irish Tweed?
thats a strong 7 . i think you gave a great review Aaron here. very balanced, critical with caveats. i LOVE this one and love the dry down on this one even more . its one of the few that latches and doesnt go away in 60 secs :) . i just got my Carbon by the way and LOVE it too. layering and im really enjoying wearing it as a signature as its so versatile . Cant wait for the relaunch in 23.. cheers from US .
The one we've all been waiting for... 👀
A very nice fragrance for the money. Smells rich and balsamic.
Can't Patchouli come across quite peppery? I'd call that version of Patchouli spicy
This is one that at first you won’t like, but the more you wear it the more you’ll like it. For the price, it’s a slam dunk
I like it, but I agree this does lean more mature. As a college kid, I’m very situational with Moustache EDP since it smells so elegant and refined. I have to wear at least a button up with it. I like it a lot, but I don’t spray it as much as I want to
I love you brother, you really one of the best Fragance reviewers 🍷 shears
Nice review and all, but I'm commenting on your hair.. looks absolutely amazing 🙋♂
Dark background in last 2 videos looks waaay better than eye-killing white one :D
This review reminds me why I stopped collecting and watching reviews and going down the damn rabbit hole making others more money....
This is a great fragrance and my girlfriend is smitten with it.
It's a great one indeed 😊
I like it, compared it to tuxedo and it smells almost the same to me. I bought 125 ml for under 40€.
Hi Aaron, I thought I'd ask your opinion on this as you are an expert. How many sprays of my fragrances should I be applying?
Black background 🖤 and as always awesome video
Hello 👋
Would love to hear your thought on the royal tobacco from amouge sometime soon. Lovely video like always and much love to all... 🌻🧘♂️
Awesome review mi amigo.
*Nice hairstyle*
I just got sample of guerlain ideal parfum, xerjoff nio and moustache after tons of hearing positive hype.
Now I’m staring to question your reviews. Moustache smells fantastic and women absolutely love it. So, I don’t know what the point of this review is.
I love it.. it is super smooth on me :D
I agree the green note almost ruins it when smelling off skin. Its fine in the air. kismet a bit smoother
I’m in my 30s and I love it this fragrance. I don’t find it metallic at all. I find it to be warm and sweet with a nice vanilla and spices.
Hi Aaron. When we looking at Original Vetiver?? Thanks
I'm in my 30's and love it. :)
Waiting review for CH Men. One of my favourite "leather-based fragrance", mixed with burnt sugar and light vanilla undertones. Amazing 😏
It’s hard to believe you are describing the EDP? I don’t care if you don’t like it but it’s nothing like you describe IMO.
for me moustache starts off like Dior Homme intense or Valentino Uomo intense and in the dry down you have some of that mysterious Dior Fahrenheit darkness. Compliments galore!
I agree with you 100%. I don't like it either and find the opening harsh, and so sharp and not rounded.
I have the EDT and would like to get the EDP. To me, the name "Moustache" embodies the character of a vintage, just-from-the-barbershop, masculine sort of gentleman.
