  • The life of a rock star is often glamorized in popular culture: you can’t have rock ’n roll without sex and drugs, after all. But for many rock stars, behind the world-wide success and the 24 hour parties, life is far more tragic than it appears to be on stage.
    When you live in the spotlight, it’s hard to keep your personal life personal, and celebrities often find the intimate details of their lives splashed all over tabloid covers. These musicians, however, managed to keep things hidden from the public for a long time. Here are the rock stars that hid a tragic secret for years.

My best friends mom, from a militantly catholic family got pregnant and was forced to give the baby to the nuns...30 years later, the guy got in touch with her, not to have a joyful reunion, but to unload everything bad that ever happened to him as her fault, including his alcohol addiction...it was completely horrible, the poor woman had a lifetime of guilt and shame BEFORE he contacted her, and she had a heart attack, survived, but has been crushed with ill health since. It definitely shortened her life and ruined it....what happened to forgiveness??

      Neither hung themselves. I have been a close & personal friend with Chris & his ex Susan since 89'. I cannot say too much, which is so fucked up, but if you know truth, it's not hard to figure out. Do some research. So tragic & fucked up. I miss my friend everyday. I will say this...at Chris's funeral, us who are not "industry", had to sit in a separate section & sign certain "disclosures". The industry is evil & Chris wanted no part of it. He was permanently silenced, Chester too. I hope all those industry elietes' souls burn in eternal damnation. Believe me, if you truly knew all the facts & lost such a beautiful friend by others unessecary, sadistic evils, you'd understand & agree.
      We will meet again someday my dear friend, but in the meantime keep bringing the angels to their knees & God brushin' off his shoulders by/for your powerful, NO ONE SINGS LIKE YOU ANYMORE (or ever will) voice. I've witnessed this man hit 6 octaves in one song, while helping Vicki set the Thanksgiving table. Talent & a gentle, loving, humble spirit like Chris is a once in a lifetime experience, & although I miss him everyday, the gift of being his friend I get to forever cherish.

As someone who has had 7 pounds on a 9 pound trigger, while my daughter was sleeping upstairs, I feel lucky that I never added the next 2 pounds. Chester had a disease that killed him, a disease called depression and it’s just as deadly as cancer, AIDS, or anything else you can think of. When both the days and the nights are so dark that you can’t see the light, the only thing left to choose is the darkness.

    • @sunlight4169
      @sunlight4169 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Bobby was an extremely brilliant and incredibly versatile singer. He could do anything - rock ( Splish Splash, Queen of the hop); Folk (If I were a carpenter); Jazz/big band/swing (Beyond the Sea, Don't Rain on my Parade); Pop (Dream Lover); even country music (Lonesome Whistle). He first gained fame as a rock singer, but Bobby had other plans rather than be another 50s rock star - he wanted more -- and when Bobby told Dick Clark about his plans to record "Mack the Knife" Dick Clark told him in no uncertain terms Bobby was absolutely crazy and "Bobby you're a rock star, why on earth would you want to record that song - it will ruin your career" The rest is history - Darin recorded Mack the Knife and it was his only number 1 hit - although many of his songs were in the top ten hits.
