Hey Guys, so some of you might've heard that my boat was robbed back in July, and about $25,000 worth of electronics and equipment was ripped and stolen out of my center console, as well as my trailer stolen. This obviously was a very tough time for me, as i lost a lot of money and was unable to work for a good month while reinstalling equipment. I tried to make the best of it by going out for a sunset bite with Annie Bird, and let me tell you, I'm glad that im not fishing back in the old days. Hope you enjoy

Brother I can’t even explain how sorry I am that this happened. I’ve been stolen from in past and feels like a Total violation. It’s not what you lost but that another person would do that to You!!! It’s so sketchy. Good luck finding these F#*kers.

Must of been gut wrenching to come out to your boat and see that. I definitely agree it was someone you know. They knew your friends were out of town ect ect. I keep my console interior access door locked. I have a cover that locks over the mfds and I have my boat behind a locked fence with a ring floodlight camera pointed right at it along with flood light cams covering all entry points and a door bell cam. On top of that an HK Sp5, suppressed 300 blk ddm4 pdw and a few glocks. I also have a dog, but he’s scared of everything so.

Our community (and many other neighborhoods around us) got hit in the keys. The guys that did it got caught in Miami. A guy who works at the dealer where I bought my boat sold me on LocMarine when i purchased the boat. It's been great. Not sure it would prevent the theft, but your phone would be alerted when it happened. Also keeps track of shore power, batteries, bilge etc. Great product.

This has been going on for years here in southwest fl. They come up from Miami. Steal the truck, then come and steal your shit. Sometimes they do get caught though. I Had a 258 Carolina skiff about 5 years ago. I Left for 4th of July weekend, came back on monday and the 200 Yamaha on the back of it was gone. Didn’t even file a police report. I Just accepted the lost. Because for years this shit has been happening and nothing ever gets done about it. Hopefully they get catch the shitheads that stole your shit. Best of luck!

Definitely get the info of who sold the trailer to them and what they know about that person. They’ll have been using your name most likely but they may know where the guy is based out of. All docs, like bill of sale. And ask them if that person drove the same truck you saw.

That really sucks man, same thing happened to me in Boynton. Truck was probably stolen too. Pisses me off to no end, half the time they do catch someone if they drive fast enough the police won't pursuit. When they do catch them, they put them back on the street right away. Hope you had insurance.

What a POS, I hate a damn thief!!! Question if they retitled the trail can’t you catch them fairly easy?? I would think so or the DMV didn’t do their job!!! In NC you have to show them your DL for that!!!! Also new sub here Brotha!!!!
I feel ya, had my boats electronics and fishing right out of the marina. They even tried to take my outdrive lower unit. It sucks!
That sucks! I have been there more than once. Garmin makes a transducer adapter or a extender wire harness that can be spliced in so you don't have to replace the transducer. That is what they used when my Garmins were replaced after being stolen. It saves the hassle of replacing the transducer. I'm glad you are up in running again.
SUCKS - they stole my hole BOAT , and stripped it - $132,000. repair bill... Insurance didn't pay... Ruined my life.
That sucks. You can splice that transducer cable Simrad makes a part called xSonic Pigtail Adapter, hope u catch them or find trailer

My boat is on a lift in North Palm Beach and had all Garmin electronics stolen off about 3 weeks ago. The rats hit 6 other boats in the community on the same night.

here's what to do purchase a cheap df/ chart plotter and a good hand held to store your spots temperately when you get the electronics back or buy new you can mount the cheap df/plotter on the transom for your customers. Use the handheld for a safe storage,
A low cost idea is to use a driveway alarm tucked behind the console cover. As long as you or a neighbor you can share it with is home they'll hear the chime. BTW what insurance company did you have?

Get that police report and call your insurance. All those electronics have ID tags on the bar codes on the back of them that they can track.
You got god that’s all that matters in the end. You’ll see he’s got your back just wait and see just be patient and keep your eyes open and pray to be able to recognize when it’s happening. Praying insurance gets their ish together.

Transducer can be spliced with a splice box if it is a garmin for sure. The transducers are x amount of wires based on x amount of pins in the connector that goes into back of unit. I’m sure of you had simrad or other company electronics you can also reuse the transducer. I just had to splice my Garmin gt51 tm transducer because the connector shorted and I just got an adapter for 50$. Good luck bro. I’m retired from boat repair shop owning but if you need help doing it yourself, I have all the tools and a ton of materials left from when I closed down my shop. I’m in Stuart and can help you get everything redone. I’ll trade for fishing trip.

First of all, Mr. Adam, you could’ve bought a low jack very cheap to hide in the trailer that they stalled. It would’ve cost you around 100 bucks actually for a couple of low jacks that are connected to your phone. I have one right here I’m sitting right now on my couch. Looking at my little jack next time be smart you could track the trailer wherever it is.
What about active captin and your garmin unit thats synced to your phone app wouldnt that tell you where there are or turned the unit on from

You don’t have to get a new transducer they make a pigtail wire block adapter where you can just use bare wires, I had to use one because I couldn’t get my hands on a HW airmar with a simrad plug so I got a Garmin and just cut the plug off, works great
