This video should help you prepare for a cost effective season of jigging for Pompano. Whether you fish from a bridge, pier, boat or shore, I'll take you through the supplies you need, the tools you need, and a couple of variations on how to rig your jigs. There is a bare bones, low cost method that can get you into the range of $.20-$.25 per rig, and some shortcuts that save time, but cost a bit more for supplies. Your local "dollar store" is your friend for the most cost effective supplies, rather than pay top dollar at a local bait shop.

How about a knot tying video?!
Also, I'd love to see a beginner's guide to fishing (the basics, matching lures/ hooks/ poles for the type of fishing you want to do, etc.)

Hi Nick, Thanks for the feedback comments. There are a lot of knot tying videos on TH-cam. Until I get to this one, please check out Hey Skipper or Salt Strong for the best ones that are simple. Improved Clinch, Palomar , and Uni knots are the top 3 you need. Then add a dropper loop, and a loop knot for the final 2 to make pretty much all your rigs.
Matching lures, hook and poles for the type of fishing is a very big topic. I will probably take that on 1 type of fishing at a time.
Surf fishing, Jigging, Pond fishing, Deep dropping, etc.... are all unique and have different requirements.
